Umarex Makarov CO2 4.5mm BB Pistol Review

Related Posts:

Type: BB air pistol.
Manufacturer: Umarex.
Model: Makarov.
Materials: Mostly metal with a few plastic parts.
Weight: 1.5 pounds.
Barrel: 2.8 inches, metal non-rifled.
Propulsion: CO2 x 1.
Action: Semi auto, double/single action.
Ammunition Type: 4.5mm BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 18 round magazine.
FPS: 380.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on this gun is light to medium, in single action mode when the hammer is pre-cocked, the trigger is nice and light and easy to predict. When shooting double action the trigger first cocks the hammer and then near the end there is a break point where the hammer releases.
Accuracy: This was my second time shooting this gun at a target from 20 feet out free standing and again the Makarov performed well. The ability to shoot in single action, definitely helps with the accuracy.
Build Quality: Being an all metal gun (mostly all metal), makes the gun feel solid and sturdy. The only plastic parts I could find on the Umarex Makarov where the grips and the safety lever. The painted finish is nice but maybe a bit on the glossy side.
Realism: The Umarex Makarov is a licensed replica of the Makarov PM 9x18 Russian military and police pistol. It is a very close copy in both looks and feel.
Purchased this gun from: The Replica Airguns Store.

Pros:

  • Great price for an all metal licensed Makarov replica.
  • Good accuracy and power combination.
  • Sports both single and double action.
  • All metal 18 round drop free magazine.

Cons:

  • No blowback.
  • The slide catch/release does not work, as it's moulded into the frame.
  • Paint may be a bit glossy for some people.

Comments:
This is another low cost replica air gun from Umarex designed for the more entry level buyer. It's actually a very well made all metal gun complete with the Makarov licensing and trademarks. There is a lot to like about the Umarex Makarov, it's accurate, has decent fps, uses good materials, has a working slide and all at a very affordable price.

EKOL JACKAL DUAL 9MM P.A.K. BLANK GUN REVIEW

Related Posts:

Type: Blank Gun.

Manufacturer:EKOL - VOLTRAN.

Model: Jackal Dual.

Materials: Mostly Metal.

Weight: 2.5 pounds.

Barrel: Semi plugged - front firing.

Propulsion: Gun powder.

Action: Semi/Full auto single action.

Ammunition Type: 9mm P.A.K. blanks.

Ammunition Capacity: 15 round magazine.

FPS: N/A.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull of the Jackal Dual is typical of a single action semi auto gun, no hammer pull is required so it has a light to medium pull.

Accuracy: N/A.

Build Quality: The build quality is similar to that of my Zoraki blank guns. The EKOL Jackal Dual is well built and uses good quality materials, this gun is almost all metal and very heavy with thick materials. The finish quality is typical of other Turkish guns - good but not perfect. Out of all the EKOL finishes, the black (which is more of  glossy back) is probably the nicest.

Realism: The Jackal Dual is an almost exact copy of the Beretta 92FS, it would be hard to tell them apart from any distance.

Purchase From: The Replica Airguns Store.

Pros:

  • Semi and Full auto makes this gun a lot of fun to shoot.

  • Very good construction, lots of metal parts and good solid weight to the Jackal.

  • The black gloss finish is one of the nicer EKOL finishes.

  • If you own a Beretta 92FS or plan to get one, the Jackal would make a great trainer to accompany your real one.

Cons:

  • 9mm P.A.K. Blank ammo is expensive and this gun can go through it fast!

  • The rear safety is non-functional and a bit confusing.

  • The plastic but piece at the bottom of the magazine seems a bit cheap and out of place with the rest of this well made gun.

  • The Jackal is a bit on the high price side compared to the other EKOL blank guns. (You may want to look at the EKOL Firat blank guns as they are the same gun without the full auto feature for about $60 less.)

Comments:

The EKOL Jackal Dual blank gun is a nice addition to our growing number of legal blank guns in Canada. EKOL offers a nice variety of models to choose from with an assortment of finishes. Out of all the EKOL guns, I would consider the Jackal Dual as being the most realistic as it is really a copy of the Beretta 92FS. The quality and finish is pretty good overall with the usual few minimal imperfection found on many Turkish blank guns. This gun test fired without incident. I shoot 10 rounds through it and had no miss fires, failures to load or eject. The full auto feature of this gun makes it very thrilling to shoot, just make sure you have lots of ammo with you and an out of the way place to shoot.

Ammunition Type: 9mm P.A.K. blanks.

Update: Stock has arrived, we are now shipping these guns!

I picked up a few really nice EKOL blank guns a couple of weeks ago to see what they where like. I was not expecting them to be as nice as they where! And I was also impressed with the fact that all three of the guns did not have a single jam, miss-feed or failure to eject the first time shooting them.

I am happy to say that in a couple of weeks, the US Replica Airguns Store will be carrying at least some of the EKOL product line, and not just EKOL's blank shooters but also one of their BB CO2 air pistols, the ES 55.

Here are the products we will be carrying in the Replica Airguns Store:

EKOL - Volga - Dicle - Jackal Dual - 9mm P.A.K. Blank Gun Shooting Review

I finally got to shoot my new EKOL blank firing 9mm P.A K. guns today and I just happened to have my "cameras" rolling: My Canon T2i DSLR and my Casio EX-FC100 high speed camera. First off I was very impressed with how these EKOL blank guns performed, this was my first time shooting all of them and they all shot every round without a misfire, jam or loading problem. I was using Fiocchi 9mm P.A.K. blank ammunition by the way.

Make sure to watch this one, there's lots of action, some full auto, a bit of slow motion and even some full contact!

EKOL - Jackal Dual - Dicle - Volga 9mm P.A.K. Blank Gun Overview

Related Posts:

Type: Blank Gun.

Manufacturer:EKOL - VOLTRAN.

Model: Jackal Dual - Dicle - Volga

Materials: Mostly Metal.

Weight: 2.5 - 2.5 - 1 pounds.

Barrel: Semi plugged - front firing.

Propulsion: Gun powder.

Action: Semi/full auto single action - Semi auto single/double action - semi auto single action.

Ammunition Type: 9mm P.A.K. blanks.

Ammunition Capacity: 15 - 15 - 6 round magazines.

FPS: N/A.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull for the Jackal Dual and Dicle is fairly light to medium in weight and with the Volga it's a bit harder with more of a medium to heavy trigger pull. I have noticed it getting lighter over time as I work the gun in.

Accuracy: N/A.

Build Quality: The build quality is similar to that of my Zoraki guns, I have not shot the guns so I can not say yet how they will chamber and fire rounds, but my first impressions after spending some time looking them over and handling them is that they are well built and use good materials. There finish quality is typical of other Turkish guns - good but not perfect.

Realism: The EKOL Jackal Dual is the most realist of the three guns, and I say that because it closely resembles the Beretta 92 FS. And it does look very much like the Beretta 92 FS in many ways. The Dicle and the Volga however do not closely resemble any other guns that I can think of. The closest gun to the Dicle I would have to say is the Beretta PX4, but the Dicle is more like a PX4 and a Sig Sauer combined into one gun. The Volga is similar in design but not spot on to other small .25 Automatic sub compact pistols.

Purchase From: The Replica Airguns Store.

Pros:

  • In Canada these guns are some of the few blank guns available for purchase that are not prohibited.

  • Very good construction, lots of metal parts and good weight to these blank guns.

  • EKOL has a nice assortment of styles and colors to choose from.

  • In the case of the Jackal, this gun would make a good Beretta 92 FS blank shooting replica.

  • Great training guns, as they operate exactly like real guns without the deadly force.

<!-- google_ad_client = "ca-pub-9036472715040282"; /* Replica Airguns Content */ google_ad_slot = "1487049688"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15; //-->

Cons:

  • Jackal Dual's rear safety is non-functioning, this is a bit confusing.

  • 9mm P.A.K. Blank ammo is expensive.

  • Volga's trigger pull is a bit heavy but it seems to be getting better over time.

  • Hard to get an empty magazine out of the Volga when the slide is back.

Comments:

These EKOL VOLTRAN blank guns are a nice addition to our growing number of legal blank guns in Canada. EKOL offers a nice variety of models to choose from with an assortment of finishes. The quality and finish is better than I expected from EKOL, almost matching the Zoraki products and that's a pretty high pedestal to achieve. If you are thinking about getting a blank shooter, definitely take a look at the EKOL VOLTRAN line of blank guns.

Three New Blank Guns - EKOL - Jackal Dual - Dicle - Volga

Related Posts:

As I mentioned with my two new BB guns, my mailbox yesterday was teaming with goodies! I also received three new EKOL (Voltran) Blank Guns. The EKOL Jackal Dual, Dicle and the Volga. The Jackal is basically a Beretta 92 FS Replica while the EKOL Dicle and EKOL Volga do not look super close to any one particular pistol. They are all 9mm P.A.K. front shooters, I decided to purchase mine in a variety of different finishes: Gloss black, Satin, and Fume.

I have not had a chance to shoot these guns but initially I am very pleased with the overall quality and finish, like my Zoraki Blank Guns, they are also made in Turkey.

<!-- google_ad_client = "ca-pub-9036472715040282"; /* Replica Airguns Content */ google_ad_slot = "1487049688"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15; //-->

The Beretta look alike Jackal Dual is both semi and full auto selectable, and is really a very solid gun with a beautiful glossy back finish. Probably the nicest finish out of the three.

The EKOL Dicle (not sure who named this gun) kind of looks like a gun that a Sig Suaer and Beretta PX4 gave birth to! It really looks in many ways like a bit of both of them. Again I was impressed with how solid this gun was. I really like the two-tone satin look of this blank shooter.

My EKOL Volga looks a bit like a Titan E27 .25 Automatic in some ways and again has a two-tone look but not as drastic as the Satin finish on my EKOL Dicle. This blank gun is even smaller than my Zoraki M906 yet still chambers six 9mm P.A.K. blank rounds in the magazine.

Of course I will follow this post up with some reviews of these fine 9mm P.A.K. blank guns...

Makarov - 16

FPS:

Colt Defender - 440

H&K USP - 400

S&W M&P - 480

Makarov - 380

Trigger Pull: On all these guns the trigger pull is about medium with a bit of a break near the end. Only the Makarov has Single Action capability which gives it a much nicer and lighter trigger pull when desired.

Accuracy:

Colt Defender - At 20 feet in standing unrested position I got about a 2 inch group from 10 rounds.

H&K USP - At 20 feet in standing unrested position I got about a 2 inch group from 10 rounds.

S&W M&P - At 20 feet in standing unrested position I got about a 1.5 inch group from 10 rounds.

Makarov - At 20 feet in standing unrested position I got about a 1 inch group from 10 rounds.

Build Quality:

Colt Defender - Mostly metal with plastic grips, the gun had good finishing and a hefty weight to it.

H&K USP - Mostly good quality plastic with a full metal, full size magazine that gave the gun a solid feel

S&W M&P - Almost entirely plastic, it felt more like a toy then a gun because of it's light weight and shinny finish.

Makarov - Mostly metal with plastic grips and safety. This gun has good weight, feel and finishings.

Realism:

Colt Defender - Even though this BB gun is mostly metal, there are not a lot of moving parts, most parts where moulded into the gun and un-operational with the exception of the trigger and magazine release button.

H&K USP - I found it easy to forget about all the plastic in this air gun because of the excellent detail, everything is exactly right where it's supposed to be!

S&W M&P - On paper this gun is the right size and shape and pretty much looks like the real S&W M&P. You just don't want to get too close or pick it up or the illusion is lost.

Makarov -  An overal good replica with a moving slide that's even filed strip-able. The paint is a bit shinny but it makes for a nice looking gun overall.

Purchased thes guns at: The Replica Airguns Store.

Pros:

  • Colt Defender - Mostly metal, high FPS.
  • H&K USP - Very realistic, full metal full size drop out magazine.
  • S&W M&P - Surprisingly good accuracy, high FPS, drop out metal magazine.
  • Makarov - Mostly metal, moving slide, double and single action, drop out metal slide.

Cons:

  • Colt Defender - Most moving part are non-functional, no drop out magazine.
  • H&K USP - More metal and a moving slide would have been a nice touch.
  • S&W M&P - Lots of cheap plastic, no real weigh to it, parts mostly moulded into the air pistol.
  • Makarov - No blowback, no slide catch, paint is a bit shinny.

Comments:

I had very low expectations for most of these guns based on their low price point. But in the end, I was impressed with at least a couple things about them each of them! I can honestly recommend all of them but just make sure you buy them for the right reasons... If you want a high FPS and accurate target BB pistol then take a look at the Umarex S&W M&P. If you want an all metal gun with lots of moving parts then the Umarex Makarov is probably for you. If you're looking for a very close replica that's got a full size drop out magazine then you probably want the Umarex H&K M&P. If you want something that is super solid and almost indestructible then get then the Umarex Colt Defender juts might fit that bill.

Colt Defender - H&K USP - S&W M&P - Makarov Replica BB Guns Arrive!

Now I haven't shot any of these guns yet, but I did get the chance to open all the packaging and give them a quick once over. My opinions of some of these guns may change after shooting them, depending on how they do, but as it stands I will give my first impressions of the guns. I'm not going to get into all the details as I will be doing individual reviews on each BB gun down the road. So here's a few pros and cons for each replica BB gun based on their first impressions:

Umarex Colt Defender 4.5mm CO2 BB Pistol:

The Umarex Colt Defender is basically a nice looking and fairly heavy all metal BB replica that feels good in the hand and has the Colt markings. It has a medium trigger pull with fairly good finishing.

The down side, it has no removable magazine, and most of the guns external mechanical parts like the hammer, slide release and safety, are molded into the metal and are non-operational.

Umarex Makarov 4.5mm CO2 BB Pistol:

Next we have the Umarex Makarov, this one is probably my immediate favorite out of the bunch for reasons like: It came in a box and has a movable and removable slide. For the most part it is all metal including the drop out magazine. The trigger pull again is about medium and even the safety is in the right place and is actually functional.

Some of my dislikes for this gun are the non-functioning slide release, so even though in this picture it looks like the slide is locked back, it's actually not (I'll show you how I did this in the future video!!). There is also no blowback action with this gun but to be fair, non of the other guns in this comparison have blowback either!

Umarex Smith & Wesson M&P CO2 BB Pistol:

I'm sorry to say the Umarex S&W M&P so far is my least favorite of the bunch, but first let's be positive... It's the right size and shape, has all its bits and pieces and markings in the right places so it would make an excellent low cost prop gun for sure! It is also the only gun with fiber optic sights and it does have a drop out metal magazine.

Now for the bad. When you pick this gun up it just feels cheap and plasticy, more like a toy then a gun! the trigger is OK but it's just so hard to get over the weight and feel of this BB gun. I hope it is a dream to shoot, that might be it's saving grace for me.

Umarex H&K USP CO2 BB Pistol:

OK, so let's leave of on a good note. The Umarex H&K USP was a close second to the Makarov in terms of first impressions with these low cost replica air guns. Even though a lot of the gun is plastic, it has a good weight and feel to it, this is partially due to the full size drop out metal magazine. The Umarex H&K USP also has everything in all the right places including the H&K markings and it too takes advantage of using the safety lever as originally intended, not just molded into the frame for show. Non of the guns had overly heavy trigger pulls and the H&K USP was no exception.

On the down side, it would have been nice to have a metal working slide to finish it off, and even though the hammer moves when the trigger is pulled, it's really only for show as it does not stay back and allow for both single and double action operation. Instead you can only shoot in this gun in double action.

So that about wraps up this initial overview of my first impressions of the Umarex Colt Defender, H&K USP, S&W M&P, and Makarov Replica BB guns. Next I will be shooting a YouTube table top comparison review of these low cost replica BB guns, so make sure to check back!

Bunch of Airguns coming for a Low Cost Replica Comparison Shootout

Related Posts:

I am a bit of a stickler for blowback air guns, and if they don't have blowback, then they have to offer other points of realism that will win me over. Like with the Baikal Makarov and how it's pretty much a real Makarov but converted to shoot BB's.

So in some ways I'm a bit of an airgun snob and I have tended to stay away from the lower cost replica air guns for reasons like: Too much plastics, no blowback, too many non-working parts... Well I'm throwing it all in the wind for this next batch of airguns I am going to review and compare. They all sell for well under $100 and some even below $50. What they all have in common is that they are decent looking replicas of the original guns they represent and they all happen to be made by Umarex.

The guns are availabe in the Replica Airguns Store:

Umarex Colt Defender CO2 BB Pistol

Umarex H&K USP CO2 BB Pistol

Umarex S&W M&P CO2 BB Pistol

Umarex Makarov CO2 BB Pistol

When they get here I plan to do a full side-by-side comparison review of these Umarex replica CO2 BB guns and compare them based on accuracy, build quality, realism and shoot-ability. So make sure to check back and see how these air pistols compare?

Here's a quick YouTube video of the Zoraki M906 P.A.K. Blank pistol firing off some blank rounds. I fire off 6 semi-auto rounds which by the way is the magazines maximum capacity! I also capture the test fire using my Canon High Speed Slow Motion camera in 210 frames per second mode to really slow down the action and see how this small blank shooter cycles rounds.

Type: Blank Gun.

Manufacturer: Zoraki - Atak Arms.

Model:Zoraki M906.

Materials: Metal & Polymere.

Weight: .9 pounds.

Barrel: Semi plugged - front firing.

Propulsion: Gun powder.

Action: Single action.

Ammunition Type: 9mm P.A.K.

Ammunition Capacity: 6 round magazine.

FPS: N/A.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull is short and smooth, typical of a semi auto action.

Accuracy: NA.

Build Quality: The overall build quality of this gun is awesome. The design and materials all seem to be of good quality. After I received my Zoraki Mod.925 and saw how well ATAK Arms made it's polymer components, I was actually expecting the M906 to be as good if not better. I was not disappointed! ATAK Arms put excellent thought into using metal and polymer materials to their full advantage, making the frame and handle out of polymer and where it really counts, metals are used; Slide, Barrel, and most other mechanical parts. The slide feels as well made as you would find in an actual firearm. The overall quality is that of an actual Firearm!

Realism: This gun is not supposed to be a replica of any gun in production but it does look like a shrunken down Sig Sauer in some ways and hey I love the Sigs. The Zoraki M906 looks and feels like a real gun, always make sure to take precautions when using this realistic looking blank shooter!

Purchased From:VinzerSports.com.

Pros:

  • In Canada it is one of the few blank guns available for purchase that is not prohibited.

  • Excellent construction, great usage of metal and polymer materials.

  • Well priced for an extremely high quality blank gun.

  • Very compact in every aspect, great for conceal carry purposes (Check your areas laws).

  • Well thought out modern design.

Cons:

  • Not as readily available in Canada, the US and other areas..

  • 9mm P.A.K. Blank ammo is expensive.

  • Limited ammunition capacity.

Comments:

The Zoraki M906 is well thought out, well built, and well priced! What more do I need to say? If you want an extremely compact modern looking blank shooter, then make sure to consider this ATAK Arms 9mm P.A.K. blank gun. It immediately became my favorite gun in my blank collection.

Zoraki M906 9mm P.A.K. Blank Gun on its Way!

I couldn't help myself, I have all the Zoraki Blank Guns except for the latest Zoraki M906. This is Atak Arms most compact blank gun and it's even smaller than the Zoraki Mod.914. It does come at a bit of an ammo capacity cost as the M906 can only hold 6 rounds due to its shorter and thinner handle.

The Zoraki M906 appears to have more usage of composite component, so it should be a very light gun. It also has a more traditional design than Zoraki's other automatic blank shooter.

I'm looking forward to receiving my new addition some time late next week...

Here's a quick Vimeo video of the Zoraki Mod. 925 P.A.K. Blank pistol firing off some blank rounds. First I shoot two rounds off in semi-auto mode and then switch the Zoraki 925 over to full-auto and fire off the last 10. The Magazine I used is capable of holding 26 rounds but hey, that would have been about the equivalent in cost to 4 Starbucks Mochas!

Propulsion: Gun powder.

Action: Single action.

Build Quality: The overall build quality of this gun is excellent. The design and materials all seem to be of good quality. I was actually not expecting this gun to be as well built and finished as it was. Inside it has a metal frame based on the MOD 914 Zaraki with an exo-shell made of a polymer type material. It also comes in a very nice hard shell case with cut outs for everything included. (The Zoraki MOD 925 blank gun, 16 round and 26 round extended magazine, cleaning rod, oil bottle, alternate barrel tip, barrel changing tool, and flare adaptor)

Realism: This gun is not supposed to be a replica of any gun in production but it does look a bit like a mini sub machine pistol. The Zoraki 925 looks and feels like a real gun, so make sure to take precautions when using this blank mini machine gun!

Purchased From:CanadaAmmo.com.

Pros:

  • In Canada it is one of the few blank guns available for purchase that is not prohibited.

  • Excellent construction, all metal internal frame with high quality external polymer shell.

  • Well priced for what you get even at the newer higher pricing.

  • Magazines interchangeable with the Zoraki MOD 914.

  • Come with a very nice hard shell case and accessory package.

Cons:

  • 9mm P.A.K. Blank ammo is expensive.

Comments:

The Zoraki MOD 925 is a sweet full auto machine pistol and if you can find one is a great addition to anyone blank gun collection. When compared to other full auto blank firing machine guns or pistols (Voltran Ekol UZI 9mm P.A.K. Blank Gun / Voltran Jackal air pistol) it is well priced but does not sacrifice in quality!

TV, Movie & Film Prop Guns For Hire!

I had an idea the other day, Since I have all these Replica Guns and just about any TV show, Movie or even Internet Video that uses guns is going to need guns that look real, why not put my Replica Guns along with myself up for hire!

The first thing one must do with an idea like this is a bit of research to make sure there aren't any major road blocks like the law, and getting thrown in jail, so I called my local RCMP Chief Firearms Officer and we had a talk. Long story short, if I can buy the guns I'm going to be using without a firearms license, then I don't need a Business Firearms License to use my guns on set.

What most large budget TV and Film productions do is a hire a "Gun Wrangler" who is authorized to transport and supervise real steel guns on set - Very Expensive!!!

So with my much lower overhead and next to no red tape I can now offer a large and growing assortment of Replica guns for use on set in TV and Film. Right now I am only offering this in Canada, in the Vancouver and lower mainland areas.

So if you need guns for your TV, Film or Movie - You know who to call - Click on the link for more info on TV, Movie & Film Prop Guns For Hire!

Zoraki 925 Deluxe Blank Gun Arrives!!

That was fast shipping, it only took one day from when it left CanadaAmmo.com to arrive, not bad for free shipping!

I also got a couple of boxes of Fiocchi 9mm P.A.K. Blanks as theses full auto blank guns eat up the ammo fast and at $29 bucks for a box of 50 it ain't cheap!

The Zoraki 925 came in a very nice plastic box with cut out foam sections for each accessory.

The shorter 16 round magazine was inside the blank gun and the longer 26 round magazine was in a foam cut out in the case. Also included was an alternate barrel adaptor (longer barrel), flare adaptor, cleaning brush, oil container and a tool for swapping the alternate barrels ends. (The short barrel end I left on the gun out of personal preference)

And of course there was a manual with instructions on what to do and most importantly, what not to do!

The Zoraki 925 was surprisingly much nicer than I thought it would be, maybe a bit smaller. I had the impression that it would be a lot larger than my Zoraki 914 but it really was only marginally larger.

The cool part is that both the magazine from my Zoraki 925 also fit into my Zoraki 914 making it an even smaller 26 round full auto machine gun! Maybe not quite as mean looking as the 925?

The quality of the Zoraki 925 is amazing when considering the price! The polymer shell looks flawless and feels very durable, the mechanics of the gun feel tight and snappy with an overall solid feel probably because the polymer shell only covers the metal internal of what is nearly a complete simplified version of the 914 model.

The operation of the Zoraki 925 is very similar to the 914 with the exceptions of the ejection port cover which snaps open when you pull the slide lever back or pull the trigger. The mechanics of pulling the slide back is also different as the internal slide is not accessible from the outside, so you need to pull back on a slide lever located at the back of the gun.

The Zoraki 925 blank gun is definitely one of my favorite blank guns, I imagine it will shoot just like my 914 but I look forward to giving it a go anyways.

Look forward to my table top YouTube review shortly and when I feel like making some noise I will also do a shooting YouTube video of the Zoraki 914 rip'n it up...

Zoraki 925 Deluxe Blank Gun on its way

Related Posts:

I purchased a Zoraki 925 Deluxe Blank Gun back in late September on a pre-order from CanadaAmmo.com and have been waiting patiently for stock to arrive! Well it finally happened and my Zoraki 925 "Deluxe" is now officially on its way. The last order I received from CanadaAmmo only took two days to arrive as they are located very near to where I live.

Zoraki guns are starting to get a bit harder to buy in Canada and if you can find one it will probably be a bit more expensive now as the Zoraki line distribution channel has changed effectively increased the cost. I paid just under $150 for my 925 Deluxe model including shipping and taxes which is a great deal! The difference between the deluxe model and regular 925 is that the deluxe version comes with two magazines: a shorter 14 round mag and a longer 25 round magazine. I believe the deluxe version also has a nicer hard shell case with cut-outs for the gun, extra mag and accessories.

The Zoraki 925 is based on a simplified 914 9mm P.A.K. blank gun but has a polymer shell around it making it look a bit like a mini UZI. It also is capable of shooting in semi or full auto and a nice little bonus is that the magazines are interchangeable.

Here is a little bit of trivia on the Zoraki 925 - it was used in the movie Universal Soldier: Regeneration by Jean-Claude Van Damme in a few of the carnage scenes. Hey, if it's good enough for JCVD, it's good enough for me!

I can hardly wait for it to get here and of course I will be doing a review and shooting test to follow...
