Specna Arms SA-F249 Airsoft Machine Gun Field Test Shooting Review

Today, we are putting the Specna Arms SA-F249 to the test. If you haven't seen one yet, be sure to check out the detailed tabletop review and the outdoor shooting video I've already posted. Today, however, is all about the hard numbers. We are bringing it into the indoor sea can to check the chronograph performance and see what kind of accuracy we can squeeze out of this absolute beast on paper. Let's get right to it.

Chronograph Velocity Test

To start things off, I loaded up some quality 0.25g airsoft BBs to run through the chrony. This setup currently has a standard voltage adaptor, for the LED lighting system though my usual one died on me, so I’m running an adjustable voltage adapter.

After a brief, accidental full-auto burst (remember, this is a support weapon designed to lay down cover!), we dialed it in for some attempted single shots (super short trigger pulls) to get our baseline velocity readings.

Chronograph Results (0.25g BBs):

  • Shot 1: 363 fps

  • Shot 2: 364 fps

  • Shot 3: 365 fps

  • Shot 4: 362 fps

  • Shot 5: 363 fps

  • Shot 6: 365 fps

The consistency here is phenomenal. We are sitting right in that 363 to 365 fps sweet spot. For an AEG out of the box, seeing variance of only a couple of feet per second between shots is a testament to the internal air seal and overall build quality.

Full-Auto Accuracy Test

With the velocity dialed in, it was time to set up a paper target downrange. Because this is a sport based automatic weapon, there's no semi-auto selector that I could locate, it's meant to be fired in full auto, and that’s exactly how we tested it.

Instead of the massive 1500-round box magazine it comes with, I opted to run a standard AR-15 style magazine for this indoor test. I locked it in, aimed just below the center of the target, and let the spring unwind until the mag the spring could not push anymore Airsoft BB’’s out, dumping roughly 50 to 75 rounds in one continuous burst.

The Results: Absolutely incredible. For a full-auto dump of that size, you would normally expect the BBs to spray across the paper. a little bit Instead, the Specna Arms SA-F249 punched a jagged, blown-out hole right through the target, resulting in a remarkably tight 2-inch grouping.

To pump that many rounds into such a condensed area on full auto is outstanding. It proves that this gun isn't just about suppressing fire; it provides highly accurate, concentrated fire downrange.

Final Thoughts

The Specna Arms SA-F249 is an incredibly impressive piece of kit. It delivers laser-like consistency on the chronograph and lays down surprisingly tight groupings in full auto. If you are looking for a support weapon that doesn't compromise on accuracy, this one needs to be on your radar.

Specna Arms SA-F249 FN Machine Gun AEG Airsoft Rifle Fail

Despite a rocky start, my test with the Specna Arms SA-F249 machine gun did yield some eventual results. Initially, I set up multiple cameras (Three Sony Cameras, Insta360 X4, DJI Neo 2, Looki L1, Meta Ray-ban Gen 2) and planned a full-auto session aiming to empty the 1500-round magazine on a boat load of water filled cans. Unfortunately, the magazine’s feed malfunctioned, preventing the gun from firing as intended. Even so, I pivoted, swapping in an AR-15 magazine and still managed to get some satisfying shots on target. at the end of the video

It’s all part of the process: sometimes you get a lemon, but that doesn’t mean the day is totally lost. We did confirm that the gun itself works very well, and I hope to be revisiting this test with a new 1500 round magazine to give it a proper go. For now, at least we got a bit of action on those water-filled cans. Stay tuned for a follow-up, because I’m determined to show this LMG at its full potential!

Specna Arms SA-F249 FN Machine Gun AEG Airsoft Rifle Table Top Review

The support weapon role in airsoft has always had a certain appeal, and the Specna Arms SA-F249 definitely delivers that intimidating LMG presence right out of the box. This massive AEG support rifle is styled after the legendary FN M249 platform and brings together high-capacity firepower, aggressive looks, and surprisingly good value for players wanting something beyond the typical AR-style airsoft rifle.

At first glance, the SA-F249 looks huge, but despite its size, it’s actually lighter than expected thanks to its reinforced polymer construction. Even so, it still feels substantial in the hands and gives off that true support weapon vibe the moment you shoulder it.

The version reviewed here comes equipped with the GATE X-ASR MOSFET system, a 1500-round auto-feeding electric box magazine, quick spring change capability, adjustable stock, integrated bipod, and multiple Picatinny rail sections for optics and accessories.

  • Platform Style: FN M249 Inspired Support Weapon

  • Caliber: 6mm Airsoft BB

  • Action: Electric Automatic (AEG)

  • Magazine Capacity: 1500 Round Auto-Feeding Box Magazine

  • Construction: Reinforced Polymer and Metal

  • Battery Connector: Deans (Comes with adaptor)

  • Battery & Charger: Not Included

First Impressions

One of the first things noticed during the review was how different some components appeared compared to other online reviews. Some reviewers mentioned metal rear stock components while others claimed certain barrel sections were plastic. On this specific version, the rear stock assembly was definitely polymer, while the outer barrel appeared to be metal.

This kind of variation is fairly common with airsoft manufacturers over time as revisions and production updates happen.

Even with the extensive use of polymer, the Specna Arms SA-F249 FN Machine Gun AEG Airsoft Rifle still looks impressive and feels well-balanced considering its overall size. The carry handle, outer barrel, and several internal components are metal, while much of the receiver, stock, and furniture use reinforced polymer to help reduce overall weight.

Electric Auto-Feeding Box Magazine

The standout feature on the SA-F249 is definitely the included 1500-round electric auto-feeding box magazine. This is what transforms the rifle into a true support platform capable of sustained suppressive fire during milsim games or outdoor skirmishes.

The magazine runs on AA batteries and includes three operating modes:

  • Off

  • Auto

  • Sound Control

The “Auto” mode activates the winding mechanism whenever the trigger is pulled, while the “Sound Control” mode intelligently detects pitch changes from the gearbox to determine when BBs stop feeding, automatically rewinding the internal spring system as needed. It’s actually a pretty clever setup and adds a lot to the realism and usability of the rifle.

Another nice touch is that the SA-F249 remains compatible with standard M4-style AEG magazines, allowing emergency reloads if needed.

Build Quality and Construction

The reinforced polymer construction helps keep the SA-F249 from becoming excessively heavy, especially for extended gameplay sessions. While some players may prefer more metal components for realism, there are advantages to quality polymer construction as well.

Polymer can sometimes absorb impacts better than brittle zinc alloy “pot metal” components commonly found in lower-end airsoft guns. The lighter weight may also reduce stress during accidental drops.

That said, there are still some concerns about long-term durability in specific areas, especially considering the rifle’s size and weight. I feel certain parts like the bipod and rear stock would have benefited from additional metal reinforcement.

Quick Spring Change System

The SA-F249 also includes a quick spring change system for easier FPS adjustments. Accessing the spring requires removing the rear stock assembly by pushing out the rear pins.

While the feature itself is excellent, the review sample had extremely tight rear pins that required minor drilling of the polymer mounting holes to improve fitment. Once removed, however, spring access was relatively straightforward.

Field Role and Gameplay Potential

The Specna Arms SA-F249 FN Machine Gun AEG Airsoft Rifle is clearly designed for players wanting to fill a support gunner role. The large magazine capacity, full-auto-only operation, integrated bipod, and intimidating LMG profile make it ideal for suppressive fire and milsim gameplay.

At roughly $400 Canadian, the SA-F249 also offers surprisingly solid value considering what’s included. Many mid-range AR-style AEGs can already approach the $200–$300 range, making the jump to a dedicated support weapon platform more reasonable than some players might expect.

Pros

  • Super cool!

  • High-capacity 1500 round auto feeding system.

  • GATE X-ASR™ MOSFET improves trigger response and protects electronics.

  • Quick spring change system allows for somewhat easy FPS tuning.

  • Durable reinforced polymer and metal construction.

  • Adjustable stock helps stability and comfort.

  • Multiple rail sections for optics and accessories.

  • LMG styling and handling make it ideal for support roles and milsim use.

  • Compatible with M4 style magazines.

  • Integrated bipod and carry handle add realism and functionality.

  • Strong overall value for a support weapon platform.

Cons

  • Large and heavy compared to standard AR style AEGs.

  • Box magazine can be bulky and somewhat noisy.

  • Battery and charger sold separately.

  • Lots of plastic, may experience durability issues.

  • Rear stock pin fit may require drilling out.

Final Thoughts

The Specna Arms SA-F249 Machine Gun AEG is a very cool support weapon platform that delivers a strong mix of realism, functionality, and affordability. It may not be perfect, and some players will likely wish for more metal construction, but overall it offers excellent value for anyone wanting to step into the LMG support role without spending a fortune.

The 1500-round auto-feeding system alone will make this thing a blast to use, and combined with the MOSFET, quick spring change system, adjustable stock, and M4 magazine compatibility, the SA-F249 brings a lot to the table for milsim and support gun enthusiasts alike.

A full field test shooting review should be especially interesting with this one.

Specna Arms SA-F04 Flex Gen 2 AEG Airsoft Rifle Table Top Review

In this table top review, we’re taking a detailed look at the Specna Arms SA-F04 Flex AEG Airsoft Rifle. This is not a shooting test, field testing will come later, but this overview will cover specifications, build quality, features, and overall pros and cons so you can decide if it’s a good fit for your needs.

I can say that right out of the box, this rifle offers a strong balance between price, performance, and features, especially for players looking for a lightweight AR-style platform with modern internals.

Key Specifications

  • Manufacturer: Specna Arms

  • Model: SA-F04 Flex

  • Platform: AR / M4 Style

  • Caliber: 6mm Airsoft BB

  • Action: Semi / Full Auto

  • Magazine Capacity: ~380 rounds (high-cap, spring-fed with winder)

  • Velocity: ~380 FPS (M120 spring installed)

  • Weight: ~4.7 lbs (≈2.1 kg)

  • Length: ~27–30 inches (adjustable stock)

  • Inner Barrel: ~6.03mm tight bore

  • Outer Barrel Length: 9 inches

  • Threading: 14mm CCW

  • Gearbox: Version 2

  • MOSFET / ETU: Yes (HAL system)

  • Spring System: ESA Quick Change

  • Battery Recommendation: 11.1V LiPo

  • Construction: Reinforced Polymer receiver with metal components

Build Quality & Design

The SA-F04 Flex uses a reinforced polymer receiver for both upper and lower, keeping the weight down while still maintaining durability. Key stress components, such as the outer barrel, buffer tube, and controls—are metal where it matters most.

This approach results in a rifle that feels solid without being overly heavy. It’s a practical design choice, polymer absorbs impact better than cheaper pot metal, which can crack or chip under stress.

You also get:

  • Ambidextrous selector switch

  • Metal buffer tube

  • M-LOK handguard with Picatinny rail

  • Adjustable iron sights (windage & elevation)

  • Multiple sling mount points

Features Overview

ESA Quick Spring Change System

Allows you to swap springs without full disassembly, useful for adjusting FPS for indoor vs outdoor play.

HAL ETU / MOSFET System

Improves trigger response, protects electronics, and allows programmable trigger settings.

Rotary Hop-Up (TDC Magnus)

Provides consistent BB trajectory and improved accuracy.

Version 2 Gearbox

A widely used, reliable platform with good upgrade compatibility.

Included in the Box

  • SA-F04 Flex AEG Rifle

  • High-cap 380-round magazine

  • M90 spring (lower FPS option)

  • Orange plastic flash hider (installed but also comes with metal black flash hider)

  • Cleaning / jam rod

  • HAL programming card

  • Manual (QR code download)

  • Stickers and packaging materials

Important Setup Note (Very Easy to Miss)

Before using the Specna Arms SA-F04 Flex AEG Airsoft Rifle, you must activate the trigger system:

  • Connect battery

  • Set to safe

  • Hold trigger for ~5 seconds until you hear a beep

If you skip this step, the rifle will just beep three times and not fire, making it seem defective.

Performance (Initial Impressions)

With an 11.1V LiPo battery, the rifle delivers:

  • Fast trigger response

  • High rate of fire

  • Smooth cycling

Lower voltage batteries will reduce rate of fire and responsiveness, which may be preferable for some players.

Pros

  • Excellent price-to-performance ratio

  • Lightweight but durable polymer build

  • ESA quick spring change system

  • MOSFET + programmable trigger (HAL ETU)

  • Good internal components (V2 gearbox)

  • High-cap magazine included (380 rounds)

  • Fully adjustable stock and sights

  • Strong customization options (AR platform compatibility)

Cons

  • Polymer receiver may feel less “premium” to some users

  • Battery space in buffer tube is limited (requires specific size battery)

  • Does not come with battery or charger at the lower price

Overall Impression

The Specna Arms SA-F04 Flex AEG Airsoft Rifle is a well-rounded entry-to-mid-level AEG that doesn’t cut corners where it matters. You get modern electronics, solid internals, and strong usability at a price point that’s hard to beat.

It’s especially appealing for players who:

  • Want AR-platform compatibility

  • Prefer lighter rifles

  • Need flexibility between indoor and outdoor play

  • Value performance over full-metal aesthetics

Availability:

Final Thoughts

This is one of those rifles that hits a sweet spot between affordability, performance, and features. It may not have full-metal construction, but in real-world use, that’s not necessarily a downside, and in some cases, it’s actually an advantage.

Field testing will ultimately determine how it performs under real conditions, but based on this overview, it’s a solid option worth considering.

Replica Airguns May Mystery Box Unboxing – What Showed Up This Time?

It’s that time again, another Mystery Box unboxing for the Replica Airguns channel. As usual, no idea what’s inside going in, but this one lines up right after SHOT Show season, which usually means some interesting gear starts showing up.

This isn’t a full review, just a first look at what came in. Detailed Table Top and Field Test videos will follow once everything gets properly looked at and tested.

What’s in the Box?

This month’s box included three very different airsoft products:

1. KJ Works KP-13 CO2 Airsoft Pistol

A Glock-style pistol - but not a Glock.

First Impressions:

  • Very familiar Glock-like ergonomics and controls

  • Polymer frame with a metal slide

  • Trigger safety and integrated accessory rail

  • Front fiber optic sight, black rear sight

  • Full-size drop-out magazine (CO2 powered)

It also came with a barrel extension, but it arrived with damaged threads. Not a huge loss since those extensions tend to be fragile anyway and aren’t essential for most users.

Takeaway:
If you're looking for a Glock-style platform without licensing restrictions, this fits the role well. Likely compatible with some Glock holsters depending on fit.

2. Specna Arms SA-F249 Machine Gun (ParaFlex)

This was the standout item, and easily the most unexpected.

First Impressions:

  • Large, heavy, and very aggressive-looking

  • FN M249-style light machine gun “replica” (Non trademarked)

  • Battery-powered box magazine with hopper feed system

  • Integrated bipod and carry handle

  • Multiple Picatinny rails

  • Includes extra spring and accessories

The feeding system and internal layout aren’t immediately obvious, it’s one of those guns that clearly requires some setup and understanding before use.

Takeaway:
This is not a casual backyard plinker. It’s a full-on support weapon platform, something you’d expect in a tactical or milsim environment.

3. Specna Arms SA-F04 FLEX Electric Airsoft Rifle (Gen 2)

A much more approachable and practical option compared to the F249.

First Impressions:

  • AR-style AEG platform

  • Mostly polymer construction with some metal components

  • Adjustable stock (buffer tube style)

  • Picatinny rails and M-LOK compatibility

  • Comes with both orange and black flash hiders

  • Includes extra spring (M90) for velocity tuning

  • Dean’s connector

Takeaway:
This looks like an entry-level to mid-tier rifle, compact, lightweight, and ideal for someone getting into Airsoft or wanting a versatile CQB setup.

Overall Thoughts

This box had a good mix:

  • Pistol platform (KP-13) → familiar, practical

  • Entry-level rifle (SA-F04) → accessible and versatile

  • Heavy support weapon (SA-F249) → niche, but very cool

The F249 clearly stole the show just based on size and complexity, but the SA-F04 is probably the one most people would actually use regularly.

What’s Next?

As usual:

  • Tabletop reviews will come first (closer look, specs, handling)

  • Field test shooting videos are stacking up and coming next

Where to Find These

If you're in Canada, these should be available through:

Some models may also be available in the US store:

More detailed breakdowns coming once these get properly tested.

Specna Arms SA-FX11 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle Field Test Review

If you are looking for all the details and specifications for the Specna Arms SA-FX11 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle, then make sure to watch my Table Top Video that I have already posted. In this Field Test Shooting Video I test out the Specna Arms SA-FX11 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle in the Replica Airguns Indoor Sea Can Shooting Range to find out what the actual velocity is and how accurate it is shooting in both semi and full auto.

Starting with my velocity test, I shot 5 plus rounds though my Chronograph using .25 gram Airsoft BB’s and then averaged them out. I generally use .20 gram Airsfot BB’s but I ran out so I went with the slightly heavier .25 gram BB’s. Specna Arms claims around 380 fps using .20 gram Airsoft BB’s so I was expecting a bit below the rated claim. I did manage to average a nice 362 fps with the slowest shot hitting 245 fps and the fastest shot hitting 366 fps, most were int he 360’s by the way.

For the next portion of the Field Test Shooting Video I placed a fresh pepper target on my Airgun Trap 30 feet down range and first shot 10 rounds into it using a semi rested shooting position with my hands resting on a sand bag up front, and sitting on a stool in the back. I got an impressive 1.75 inch grouping that was slightly low and to the right but this can be easily sorted out using the fully adjustable sights. I then switched up to full auto I performed a partial mag dump of around 50-75 rounds. The grouping did not really get any larger, perhaps at most around 2 inches. I was very happy with these results.

I have to say for a $200 Canadian (at the time of this video) AEG Airsoft Rifle, it performs like similar much higher priced AEG’s, but at a fraction of the price! If you are looking for a more lower cost and more traditional AR 15 platform that is not over the top moderned out, then the Specna Arms SA-FX11 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle is ideal, and if you do want to update it down the road, you certainly could as it is all based on the AR 15 platform. You will need to make sure to add a battery and charging system to your order if you don’t already have one, along with bag if Airsoft BB’s. The .25 gram Airsoft BB’s I was using performed really well in it.

Specna Arms SA-FX11 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle Table Top Review

Type: Airsoft AEG Rifle.
Manufacturer: Specna Arms.
Model: SA-FX11 FLEX.
Materials: Nylon Reinforced Polymer, Zinc Alloy, and Steel Construction.
Weight: 5.4 pounds (2.45 kg).
Total Length: 27.5-31 inches (70-79cm).
Barrel Length: 11.5 inches (29cm).
Barrel: Inner 6.03mm tight bore barrel non rifled.
Propulsion: AEG.
Action: Semi and full auto single action only (SA ETU™ Optical Electronic System: Optimizes trigger response and improves lifespan).
Hop-up: Rotary adjustable hop-up via ejection port.
Ammunition Type: 6mm plastic Airsoft BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 380 round full size drop out AR style plastic magazine.
FPS: 380.

Trigger Pull: The trigger on the Specna Arms SA-FX11 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle is as you would expect from an AEG Airsfot rifles as it is essentially an on/off trigger that completes a circuit that signals the MOSFET controller, in this case it is the X-ASR from the Polish GATE brand. Which is claimed to improve the response to the trigger and the life of the electronics and battery. The left side controls offer safety, semi auto and full auto positions for easy access to all shooting options.

Accuracy: I have not shot the Specna Arms SA-FX11 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle so far or tested it out in the Sea Can indoor shooting range. So I have no real idea in terms of accuracy or if it is close to the claimed 380 fps be see no reason why it should not easily achieve that velocity and also get good accuracy results based on other Specna Arms Field Test Shooting Reviews I have already made. I will be making a full dedicated Field Test Shooting Video for it as soon as I am able to, so stay posted for that one…

Build Quality: The Specna Arms SA-FX11 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle is on the lower price point but don’t let that make you think it is also lower in quality. There have been some compromises made so you will see a bit more plastic in this build, but even then it is high quality Nylon Fiber enforced plastic. Aluminum and Zink alloy are used for the barrel, flame damper, enlarged reloading handle, dummy breech block and manipulators and charging handle. All screws, pins, the cartridge ejection window and the dummy slide are made of steel. It also comes with a Factory-installed MOSFET X-ASR from the Polish GATE brand and SA ETU™ Optical Electronic System that optimizes trigger response and improves lifespan of this product.

Realism: The Specna Arms SA-FX11 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle is based on the AR M15 platform which makes it very ergonomic and easy to use but a bit more classic and not as modern as some of the newer AR15/16’s. You have full realistic controls just like you would find on a real steel version of the same rifle (charging handle, dust cover, safety selector, magazine release, adjustable sights front and back, removable carry handle. You can also customize the Specna Arms SA-FX11 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle with real steel accessories like the rear stock, pistol grips, you could even put a quad rail on it if you want to. Being that it has a plastic receiver it does come in a little bit lighter but not by a lot.

Pros:

  • Classic AR M15 look to it if you prefer that style, not overly modern.

  • Quality components throughout even in the lower priced point (FLEX).

  • ESA™ quick spring change system makes spring changes quick and easy.

  • Comes with two springs for potential indoor and outdoor usage.

  • Plastic parts are Nylon Fiber reenforced making them very durable.

  • Fully adjustable peep sight with two aperture positions.

  • No orange tip.

  • 6 position rear stock for various shoulder pull lengths.

  • Metal V2 Gearboxes with metal gears and mostly all metal parts inside.

  • Easy access to motor for any possible trouble shooting you may need to do.

  • SA ETU™ Optical Electronic System: Optimizes Trigger Response And Improves The Lifespan.

  • Factory-installed MOSFET X-ASR from the Polish GATE brand.

Cons:

  • Plastic receiver.

  • Not many mounting locations for adding accessories unless you take the carry handle off, then you could add a red dot or optical sighting system.

  • You will need a more compact and specific battery size/type with this style of AR AEG as the battery goes in the small diameter buffer tube.

The Specna Arms SA-FX11 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle in my opinion coming in at just over $200 at the time of the making of this video and has an extremely good value based on price versus what you get in quality and features for this AEG Airsoft Rifle. Other than having a bit more plastic build, quality is excellent throughout. the electrons and gearbox also are not entry level by any means, and this all comes from the well proven Specna Arms brand. If you are OK with a little bit more dated look (which I kind of like being a bit more classic myself), then this is a great AEG Airsoft Rifle for the money. Later on if you want to add some more modern components to bring it back to a more recent decade, than you could easily do so.

Specna Arms SA-FX02 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle Field Test Review

In this Field Test Shooting Video I test out the real world shooting performance of the Specna Arms SA-FX02 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle by shooting 5 rounds through my Chronograph and averaging them out. I then shot the Specna Arms SA-FX02 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle in both semi auto and full auto to find out what kind of groupings I can achieve shooting at a paper target setup 30 feet away. I’ve already made my Table Top Video where I go into the details and specifications along with some closer in video, so if that is more what you are looking for, then checkout my Table Top Video Review here.

Being an AEG Airsoft rifle the Specna Arms SA-FX02 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle is somewhat expected to get consistent velocity readings as there is no effect on an AEG when it comes to the gun cooling down from either Gas or CO2 and the velocity dropping. I chose .25 gram Airsfot BB’s since I was out of .20 gram Airsoft BB’s on this day, so I would expect a little bit higher velocities if using .20 gram Airsoft BB’s, so keep that in mind with this test. As expected I got very close readings when I shot 5 rounds through the Chronograph to get an average for them. Here is each shot listed in order and then my 5 shot average velocity: 361, 360, 365, 364, 361 averaging 362 fps. All within 4 fps of each other, kind of as expected but still very good. You can swap out the spring with the included M90 spring for somewhat lower velocities if you like.

Since the Specna Arms SA-FX02 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle can shoot in both semi and full auto, I tested it first using the built in pop-up sights shooting 10 rounds in semi auto, again using the .25 gram Airsoft BB’s and it shot a nice accurate 2 inch grouping at my target setup 30 feet away. I do use a rested shooting position sitting on a stool in the back and my hands rested on a sandbag up front which still includes a bit of human factor but not a lot. I did not adjust the sights at all and shot the Specna Arms SA-FX02 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle right out of the box. It did shoot about 5-6 inches low on my target setup 30 feet away, but was good left to right. I could easily adjust my aim point using the adjustments on the pop-up sights or through a red dot or optical scope on it. My Full Auto test was also very accurate with the grouping not really opening up at all, even with an additional 50 or so full auto shots! This may be one of my most accurate full auto Airsoft Rifles?

The Specna Arms SA-FX02 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle is a good value AEG Airsoft Rifle made for both beginners and seasoned Airsoft enthusiasts. It performs really good with quality internals where they are needed, and it is nice and compact with three color choices, black, black and tan and the one I used here in pink and black. If you are just starting out you can’t really go wrong with the Specna Arms SA-FX02 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle when considering price verses performance. As a more advanced Airsoft player you may just want something to use when you know it may get a beat up or exposed to harsh environments, so why not pickup something you don’t have to be as concerned about? Either way a great choice based on price and performance alone.

What is unique with the Specna Arms SA-FX02 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifles is the ability for the user to fully program the trigger with various semi and full auto setting, along with an adjustable trigger point and even a pre-cocking adjustment. Specna Arms does give you a plastic card that has all the setting listed to make programing easier.

Accuracy: I have not shot the Specna Arms SA-FX02 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle or tested it out so far here in the Sea Can indoor shooting range, so I have no real idea in terms of accuracy or if it is close to the claimed 360 ish fps. I will be making a full dedicated Field Test Shooting Video for it shortly as soon as I am able to. This AEG Airsoft Rifle is specifically made for even advanced shooters so I would expect it to perform very well. Stay posted for that upcoming Field Test Shooting Video.

Build Quality: The Specna Arms SA-FX02 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle is made to be a light weight and easy to cary Airsoft Rifle that will not break the bank, but still includes a lot of higher grade materials and parts internally like a Metal V2 Gearbox and MOSFET ETU. The outer skin is mostly plastic but it is fiber reenforced for added durability. You do get a 6.03mm precision inner barrel for increased accuracy along with other metal parts like the Picatinny Rails, Charging Handle, Bolt Release, Flash Hider, Assorted Pins, Rings and Screws.

Realism: The Specna Arms SA-FX02 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle is built around an AR-15 (AR-9) based submachine gun (SMG). It is not built as a replica of any specific real steel model, but in terms of size and controls it operates much the same. It is lighter weight since the outer construction incorporates a lot of plastic but it still comes in at a decent weight for an SMG Airsoft Rifle.

Pros:

  • Affordable yet very high quality product for what you pay. Perfect for all types shooters.

  • Quality components throughout.

  • Customizable trigger settings for sensitivity and shooting modes.

  • Lots of color choices.

  • 6 position rear stock.

  • ESA™ quick spring change system makes spring changes quick and easy.

  • Comes with two springs for potential indoor and outdoor usage.

  • Plastic parts are fiberglass reenforced making them very durable.

  • Quick release fully adjustable pop-up sights.

  • No orange tips on our Canada Store versions.

  • Lots of rial mounting options Picatinny rails top sides and bottom with M-LOCK.

  • Metal V2 Gearboxes with metal gears and mostly all metal parts inside.

  • Easy access to motor for any possible trouble shooting you may need to do.

Cons:

  • Lots of plastic on this Airsoft Rifle makes it a bit light weight.

  • Will need your own battery and charger setup.

  • You will need a very compact battery setup with most Specna Arms models

Comments:

The Specna Arms SA-FX02 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle is specially built for beginners and more advanced users. How can this be? Well it is priced so someone getting into the hobby can afford it and see if this is something they might be interested in pursuing. Often times a first Airsoft Gun when priced lower is going to have a lot of compromises that can affect performance and use. With the Specna Arms SA-FX02 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle, this is not the case. So why would a more advanced user want something like this? Maybe they have already invested a ton of money into their primary weapon, but want something a bit different, or even something they can beat up a bit and not feel bad about it. But they still want an Airsoft Rifle that performs. Well the Specna Arms SA-FX02 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle kinda checks all those boxes. I hope I don’t eat my words when I make my Field Test Shooting Video so don’t let me down Specna Arms…

March 2025 Mystery Box Unboxing Preview

In this Mystery Box Unboxing Video I take a look at three Airsoft products, two pistols from Umarex and two AEG Airsoft Rifles from Specna Arms. As this is essentially an Unboxing Preview Video, I don’t go into a lot of detail for each item as this is my first real exposure to these items for the most part. I will be making full Table Top and Field Test Video for each item once I get to know them a bit better and share all the specifications and features along with shooting performance.

Starting with the Umarex products, I did get the chance to checkout the Umarex Smith & Wesson 629 CO2 Airsoft Revolver at this years SHOT Show, and it is a very solid shell loading 44 Magnum styled Revolver with full Smith and Wesson licensing. From what I remember this item may only come in the Airsoft version at the time of this review and it does have a claimed velocity of 500 which may be a bit hot for Airsoft games but it would be a lot of fun shooting at pop cans and the likes.

The second Umarex products is a pretty basic mostly clear plastic Spring Powered Beretta 92 FS Airsoft Pistol. It is fairly light weight with it’s mostly all plastic construction and the velocity is also on the lower side at only around 250 fps. Since it is distributed by Umarex it carries the Beretta licensing which is nice and all, but on a clear plastic gun I am not sure if is really a major feature.

The first Airsoft Rifle out of the Mystery Box was the Specna Arms SA-FX11 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle which is your standard AR configuration, mine was the shorter barrel version but it does come in a longer barrel version as well. The top and bottom receiver and most of the outer components are going to be Nylon Fiber Reinforced Plastic. It does include features like Rotational Hop Up Chamber, SA ETU™ Optical Electronic System Optimizes for improved trigger response and Quick Spring Change System to name a few.

Something I don’t see too often are Pink Assault Rifles! So it was nice to get the pink version of the Specna Arms SA-FX02 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle. It does come in a Black and Tan version along with an all Black configuration. It’s really a great looking AEG Airsoft Rifle in any color you decide to go with, and I like the compact feel it has with lots of options for mounting accessories on the top bottom and side rails. You can get going right away using the included pop-up front and rear sights or throw a red dot or optical sight on it.

Specna Arms Core SA-J73 AEG Airsoft Rifle Field Test Review

In this Field Test Shooting Video, I test out the Specna Arms Core SA-J73 AEG Airsoft Rifle in my Indoor Replica Airguns Sea Can Shotgun Range to see what the velocity/fps is and what the accuracy is like shooting .20 gram Airsoft BB’s through my Chronograph. I shoot in both semi and full auto at a paper target setup 30 feet down range. If you are more interested in information like details and specifications for the Specna Arms Core SA-J73 AEG Airsoft Rifle, then make sure to watch my Table Top Video I already made that also includes some nice close up video for you to check out…

First up I loaded up a mag of .20 gram Airsoft BB’s and proceeded to shoot 5 rounds through my Chronograph to get a baseline average. Specna Arms claims around 370-380 fps using the preinstalled internal spring setup. I averaged 382 fps with my slowest shot recording 379 fps and my fastest shot hitting 383 fps. All of them really close in terms of velocity and right on the mark of the claimed 370-380 fps using .20 gram Airsoft BB’s.

With the Velocity Test in the bag, I moved on to my Accuracy Test for the Specna Arms Core SA-J73 AEG Airsoft Rifle where I first shot 10 rounds in semi auto to see how tight of a grouping I could get, and then I also finished up the rest of the partially full magazine in full auto to see if that grouping opened up a bit with a lot more rounds and a bit of full auto rocking around. For my 10 shot semi auto grouping I did get around a 1 to 1.5 inch spread, and notably all 10 shots hit the bullseye with no sight adjustments out of the box. Unleashing the Specna Arms Core SA-J73 in full auto, the group did spread out just a little bit to around 3 inches or so, but again right on top of the bullseye for the most part. Very impressive results for sure!

Overall I am super impressed with the Specna Arms Core SA-J73 AEG Airsoft Rifle! At around $200 Canadian you get a well made decent quality AEG Airsoft Rifle that not only looks and feels really good, but performs as good if not better than some much more expensive AEG Airsoft Rifles out there. All you really need to get on top of this purchase would be a decent charger and battery setup along with some quality Airsoft BB’s and then you are ready to go. No need for any more upgrades at least not right away. So if you are looking for an affordable AK type AEG Airsoft Rifle with no real compromises to speak of, look no further than the Specna Arms Core SA-J73 AEG Airsoft Rifle. Not much else will be a better option in this price range.

Specna Arms Edge SA-X01 AEG Airsoft Rifle Field Test Review

In this Field test Shooting Video, I test out the Specna Arms Edge SA-X01 AEG Airsoft Rifle in my Indoor Replica Airguns Sea Can Shotgun Range to find out what the velocity is and what the accuracy is like shooting .20 gram Airsoft BB’s through my Chronograph. I also shoot in both semi and full auto at a paper target setup 30 feet away. If you are more interested in details and specifications for the Specna Arms Edge SA-X01 AEG Airsoft Rifle then make sure to watch my Table Top Video I have already made that also has some nice close up video for you to check out…

So first up I loaded up a mag full of .20 gram Airsoft BB’s and proceeded to shoot 5 rounds through my Chronograph. Specna Arms claims around 380 fps using the preinstalled spring setup, I averaged 348 with my slowest shot recording 344 fps and my fastest shot hitting 351 fps, so all of them pretty close in terms of velocity but a bit under the claimed 380 fps using .20 gram Airsoft BB’s

With the Velocity Test completed I moved on to my Accuracy Test for the Specna Arms Edge SA-X01 AEG Airsoft Rifle Field where I not only shot 10 rounds in semi auto to see how tight of a grouping I could get, I also finished up the 120 round magazine in full auto to see if that grouping opened up a bit with a lot more rounds and a bit of full auto shake. For my 10 shot grouping I did get around a 2 inch spread, I did notice the Specna Arms Edge SA-X01 AEG Airsoft Rifle shot really low and a bit to the right out of the box. I would say about 8 inches low and 3-4 inches to the right. There is some sight adjustment you can do so you should be able to dial in the sights to your personal preference. When I switched over to full auto which is always more enjoyable with AEG Airsoft Rifles, the grouping did open up a bit but not a lot more, maybe as much as 4 inches but I did put close to 100 rounds additionally into the target.

Overall I am impressed with the Specna Arms Edge SA-X01 AEG Airsoft Rifle, I would have liked to have seen it shoot a bit closer to the bullseye out of the box using the iron sights, but personally I would more than likely add a red dot sight anyway, and that will correct any sighting problems one may have with this Airlift Rifle. The FPS is I would say about perfect for most Airsoft shooting conditions and it can be used with the pre-installed spring either for CQB or out door games. I do like the 120 round magazines as there is no need to whined a spring half way through a magazine but you will need more magazines on hand or a good speed loader handy for an Airsoft Battle. Just keep in mind your battery options will be limited due to the battery area being rather small since this very compact AIrsoft Rifle does have limited space to put a battery.

Specna Arms Edge SA-X01 AEG Airsoft Rifle Table Top Review

Type: AEG Airsoft Rifles
Manufacturer: Specna Arms.
Model: Edge SA-X01
Materials: Mostly metal/aluminum.
Weight: 5.52 pounds ( 2.50 kg).
Total Length: 23.5-27 inches (597-686mm).
Barrel: 10.63 inch (270) inner 6.03mm tight bore barrel non rifled.
Propulsion: AEG.
Action: Single action semi & full auto.
Ammunition Type: .6mm plastic Airsoft BB’s.
Ammunition Capacity: High cap 380 round magazines.
FPS: 380 fps with installed spring, included M90 spring will be lower fps.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Specna Arms Edge SA-X01 AEG Airsoft Rifle is fairly shot and light, it is basically a simple off off switch as it is not mechanical but rather electric. For this reason there is no real creep or feel of a release. When you get to a point in the trigger you close a circuit that activates the electors motor cycling the spring.

Accuracy: At this time I have not made my Field Test Shooting Video or even shot the Specna Arms Edge SA-X01 AEG Airsoft Rifle, I am planning to make a video for this rifle next week if all goes well. I have reviewed other Specna Ames Core products in the past and made Field test Videos for them so perhaps check one of those videos out in the time being for a bit of a heads up of what you can expect from the Specna Arms Core SA-J73 AEG Airsoft Rifle.

Build Quality: Specna Arms Airsoft Rifles are made of good quality no matter if you go with the Core or Edge versions. You will still get a quality product with quality materials and metal parts where you need them. The Edge Series offers upgrades like more metal parts, improved gearboxes and electronics along with additional accessories but you pay a bit rmeo for the added quality and add ons.

Realism: The Specna Arms Edge SA-X01 AEG Airsoft Rifle is based on the AR15 or M16 platform of course in a very modern compact PDW styled. It looks and feels the part for sure with lots of working parts including the safety, selector switch, charging handle, dust cover, adjustable rear stock, pop-up front and rear sights as you would expect. Most of the hardware should be interchangeable with a real steel AR if you want to personalize the look of your Specna Arms Rifle.

Pros:

  • Very high quality product with quality components throughout (Already listed in Specifications).

  • 4 positions rear stock.

  • ESA™ quick spring change system makes spring changes quick and easy.

  • Comes with two springs for potential indoor and outdoor usage.

  • Almost all metal build.

  • Removable fully adjustable pop-up sights.

  • No orange tips on our Canada Store versions.

  • Lots of rial mounting options using M-LOK System..

  • Comes with a fore grip and deans connector and two magazines.

  • Easy access to motor for any possible trouble shooting you any need to do.

  • I love the compact size. perfect for close closer quarters situations.

Cons:

  • Much higher cost than Core Series.

  • Magazine capacity is low but comes with two magazine.

  • You will need a very specific compact battery setup for this Specna Arms model.

Comments:

I for sure like the look of the Specna Arms Edge SA-X01 AEG Airsoft Rifle, but more than that you get a really great Compact PDW Airsoft Rifle at a reasonable price with a ton of quality components and a mostly all metal build. Specna Arms even includes an additional magazine in the box. You could go with one of their Core series of Airsoft Rifles in a similar PDW and save a bit of money but if you can afford the upgrade then I would go for this version as you will not need to upgrade it in the future and that alone will save you some money over time. I would suggest adding a couple Lipo batters and a good charger to your shopping cart and maybe even an couple more magazines.

Specna Arms Core SA-J73 AEG Airsoft Rifle Table Top Review

Type: AEG Airsoft Rifles
Manufacturer: Specna Arms.
Model: Core SA-J73
Materials: Fiberglass reenforced plastic and metal/aluminum.
Weight: 5.7 pounds (2.59 kg).
Total Length: 23.4 - 32.6 inches (594 - 828mm).
Barrel: 15.7 inch (399mm) inner 6.03mm tight bore barrel non-rifled.
Propulsion: AEG.
Action: Single action semi & full auto.
Ammunition Type: .6mm plastic Airsoft BB’s.
Ammunition Capacity: High cap 430 round magazine.
FPS: 370-380 fps with installed spring, included M90 spring will be lower fps.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Specna Arms Core SA-J73 AEG Airsoft Rifle is similar to a light single action trigger as essentially the trigger is non-mechanical, but rather it is more like an electrical on off switch. There is a little bit of take up with virtually no extra friction to let you know when the release is, with a bit of use you will figure out exactly when the trigger will release the action.

Accuracy: At this time I have not made my Field Test Shooting Video or even shot the Specna Arms Core SA-J73 AEG Airsoft Rifle, I am planning to make this video for next week if all goes well. I have reviewed other Specna Ames Core products in the past and made Field test Videos for them so perhaps check one of those videos out in the time being for a bit of a heads up of what you can expect from the Specna Arms Core SA-J73 AEG Airsoft Rifle.

Build Quality: One thing I can say, is no matter if you get the Core or Edge version of the Specna Arms AEG Air Rifles, you are getting extremely good value for your money, and neither one is going to have any low quality parts in it. Even the lower cost Core Series will have fiber glass reenforced plastic and metal parts along with a metal gearbox and virtually almost the same build as the more premium and higher priced Edge Series. You will get upgrades in the Edge Series like an aluminum receiver and buffer tube, a GATE X-ASR Mosfet, upgraded Gearboes, and an additional magazine.

Realism: The Specna Arms Core SA-J73 AEG Airsoft Rifle is based on the AK platform with a bit of a more modern look to it which includes a synthetic folding stock, a sight mounting system and a more modern magazine design. The Specna Arms Core SA-J73 AEG has lots of metal parts in it and has a good overall weight and feel to it which make is not too heavy or too light in my opinion. Our Canada version even come with a black flash hider rather than orange one which helps with realism.

Pros:

  • Very affordable price ($200 at time of video), yet very high quality product for what you pay.

  • Quality components throughout both the Core and Edge series.

  • Precision barrel internal 6.03mm diameter.

  • ESA™ quick spring change system makes spring changes quick and easy.

  • Comes with two springs for potential indoor and outdoor usage.

  • Plastic parts are fiberglass reenforced making them very durable.

  • Rear sight is adjustable on the fly for elevation.

  • No orange tips on our Canada Store versions.

  • Side mounting option for an optical or red dot sight system.

  • Metal V3 Gearboxes with metal gears and mostly all metal parts inside.

  • Decent amount of space for a battery.

  • Weight is about perfect, may actually too heavy with metal receiver?

Cons:

  • Plastic receiver.

  • Need to remove dust cover and use a screwdriver to adjust the hop-up.

  • No battery or charger included.

Comments:

The Specna Arms Core SA-J73 AEG Airsoft Rifle for right around $200 is not what I would expect for such a lower priced more entry level Airsoft Rifle. The build quality and components in this Airsoft Rifle are not budget by any means and when you hold it, it feels like a very high quality product. Sure you don’t get a battery or charger with it which you often find bundled with lower cost Airsoft Rifles, but generally these batteries and chargers are extremely entry level and will require upgrading almost immediately. So do yourself a favor and invest in a good battery setup if you do not already have one. If you’re in the market for an AK based AEG Airsoft Rifle and have a limited budget but still want a decent product, then I would recommend the Specna Arms Core SA-J73 AEG Airsoft Rifle for sure.

Specna Arms RRA SA-CO2 AEG Airsoft Rifle Table Top Review

Type: Airsoft Rifle.
Manufacturer: Specna Arms.
Model: RRA SA-CO2
Materials: Metal and Plastic.
Weight: 4.96 pounds (2.25 kilograms).
Length: 27.5-31 inches (699-787mm)
Barrel Length: 10.63 inches (270mm) inner 6.03mm tight bore non-rifled.
Propulsion: AEG.
Action: Semi & Full Auto SAO.
Ammunition Type: 6mm Airsoft BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: Mid Cap 450 rounds.
FPS: 410 using .20 gram Airsoft BB’s.

Trigger Pull: Like almost every other AEG Airsoft Rifle I’ve reviewed in the past, the trigger pull on the Specna Arms RRA SA-CO2 AEG Airsoft Rifle is a SAO with a light and short trigger feel. Most AEG Airsoft Rifles basically have a trigger that is an electrical on/off switch. The trigger pressure is not super light but for sure not heavy and the pull length is about a half centimeter long (quarter inch or so) and when you get to the end it basically actives the electric motor which compresses the spring allowing for semi or full auto shooting depending on what you have selected. Keep in mind higher voltage batteries will wind faster and make the hesitation shorter from the time you pull the trigger till the spring releases and shoots a BB.

Accuracy: In most cases I make my Table Top Review Video for each gun I review first, so I will not be able to share my experience of how this Specna Arms RRA SA-CO2 AEG Airsoft Rifle performs as that experience has not happened yet. I am planning to make my Field Test Shooting Video in a couple of weeks so stay posted for that video. You can watch a similar Specna Arms Core AEG Airsoft rifle video I have made previously showcasing a Core versus Edge series. The Specna Arms RRA SA-CO2 AEG Airsoft Rifle should performs about the same as a similar Core AEG Airsoft Rifle from Specna Arms.

Build Quality: Generally speaking from my past hands on with Sepcna Arms products both in Core and Edge version, they have been good in terms of quality and build. The Core versions will be a step down from the Edge version but they have still proven to perform well and hav a good overall build with decent internals no matter which version you decide to go with. I will say I did experience a problem with my Specna Arms RRA SA-CO2 AEG Airsoft Rifle when I pulled the charging handle back I had a fairly major malfunction with it. I am fairly sure the spring got jammed and now the charging handle will not spring back into forward resting position. This should not affect my Field Test Shooting Video as the only real purpose of this type of charging system is to open the dust cover and allow access to the hop-up system. I can still do this but need to pull back the hop door manually. Getting back to build quality, you get a plastic reacievr, buffer tube, carry handle, fore grip, magazine, rear stock and pistol grip. Metal can be found in most of the controls, the barrel and of course the trigger.

Realism: Other than the Specna Arms RRA SA-CO2 AEG Airsoft Rifle having a fair amount of plastic components it is a very realistic copy of a similar styled AR type Rifle. It will be a bit lighter but feels decent to hold and you can add a bit of mass by swapping out the carry hand and fore grip with metal versions.

Pros:

  • More classic AR15 look to it if you prefer that.

  • Quality components throughout even in the lower priced Core series.

  • ESA™ quick spring change system makes spring changes quick and easy.

  • Comes with two springs for potential indoor and outdoor usage.

  • Plastic parts are fiberglass reenforced making them very durable.

  • Fully adjustable peep sight with two aperture positions.

  • No orange tips on our Canada Store versions.

  • 6 position rear stock for varies shoulder pull lengths.

  • Metal V2 Gearboxes with metal gears and mostly all metal parts inside.

  • Easy access to motor for any possible trouble shooting you any need to do.

Cons:

  • Plastic receiver.

  • Charging handle had a major malfunction in my demo unit.

  • You will need a more compact and specific battery size/type with this style of AR AEG.

Comments:

It is unfortunate that my review version of the Specna Arms RRA SA-CO2 AEG Airsoft Rifle was defective, this can happen to any product ever high end Airguns. It does not happen very often thankfully and this would be the first time it has happened to me with a Specna Arms Product so don’t be too hard on them. Fortunately I should still be able to make my Field test Shooting Video and get that info out to everyone. As it stands I think the Specna Arms RRA SA-CO2 AEG Airsoft Rifle is well priced and good value (in 100% working condition of course). Personally I would look more at the Edge series as the quality is a for sure a big step up but not everyone has a big budget so get what works best for your needs and budget.

Specna Arms Core SA-C07-PDW AEG Airsoft Rifle Field Test Review

In this Field test Shooting Video I Test out the Specna Arms Core SA-C07-PDW AEG Airsoft Rifle in the Replica Airguns Indoor Airgun Shooting Range to find out what kind of velocity we can achieve using standard .20 gram Plastic Airsoft BB’s. I also shoot 10 rounds in semi auto at my paper target 30 feet down range to see what kind of grouping I can get and then switch it over to full auto and let her rip till I am basically out of ammo and see if I can punch a nice hole in my cardboard backed target. If you are looking for more details and specification along with some closer up video then make sure to watch my Table Top Review Video for the Specna Arms Core SA-C07-PDW AEG Airsoft Rifle.

Starting with my velocity test, I shot 5 rounds through my Chronograph using .20 gram Plastic Airsoft BB’s with the preinstalled spring and got an average of 402 fps with my lowest velocity being 400 and my highest velocity being 405 so really close in fps. You can tone down the Specna Arms Core SA-C07-PDW AEG Airsoft Rifle a bit b y installing the M90 Spring if you find the fps to be a bit high for close quarter battles.

For the accuracy portion of this Field Test Shooting Review I proceeded to fire 10 semi auto rounds into a paper target setup 30 feet away. I use a semi rested shooting position with the Specna Arms Core SA-C07-PDW AEG Airsoft Rifle resting on a sand bag up front and me sitting on a stool for stability. My 10 shot grouping was all within around 1 to 1.5 inches which is very good for an Airsoft Rifle shooting lighter Plastic BB’s. I then switched the selector into “fun mode” (Full Auto) and proceeded to hold the trigger down until I ran out of spring tension on the High Cap Magazine. I would say I got through around 100+ rounds with most of them making about a 2 inch hole in my target consisting of cardboard and of course the paper target in front of it.

I have reviewed the Specula Arms line of Airsoft Rifles in the past, both the Core and the Edge and they really are great Airsoft Guns. The Specna Arms Core SA-C07-PDW AEG Airsoft Rifle as expected lived up to my expectations and performed really great in this Field Test Shooting Video. If you like this model also make sure to checkout the other models Specna Arms Offers over in our Replica Airguns Canada and US Online Stores.

FPS: 380 fps with installed spring, included M90 spring will be lower fps.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Specna Arms Core SA-C07-PDW AEG Airsoft Rifle is similar to a light single action trigger as they are essentially an electrical on off switch. There is a little bit of take up with virtually no extra friction to let you know when the release is going to be, with a bit of use you will figure out exactly when the trigger will release the action.

Accuracy: At this time I have not made my Field Test Shooting Video or even shot the Specna Arms Core SA-C07-PDW AEG Airsoft Rifle, but plan to very soon. You can checkout a previous video where I test out both Specna Arms RRA SA-C10 Core and E10 Edge which should perform similarly to the Specna Arms Core SA-C07-PDW AEG Airsoft Rifle

Build Quality: One thing I can say is no matter which version of the Specna Arms AEG Air Rifles you deicide to go with (either a Core or Edge Series), you are getting extremely good value for your money and neither one is going to have any low quality parts in it. Even the lower cost Core Series will have fiber glass reenforced plastic and metal parts along with a metal gearbox and virtually almost the same build as the more premium and slightly higher priced Edge Series. You will get upgrades in the Edge Series such as a an aluminum receiver and buffer tube, a GATE X-ASR Mosfet, the New Orion Gearbox, deep laser engraved licensing and an additional magazine. All of this for the little bit more you pay for an Edge series Specna Arms AEG Airsoft rifle.

Realism: The Specna Arms Core SA-C07-PDW AEG Airsoft Rifle is based on the AR15 or M16 platform of course in a very modern and PDW styled look.

Pros:

  • Super affordable yet very high quality product for what you pay.

  • Quality components throughout both the Core and Edge series.

  • Rock River Arms Licensed with hologram on receiver.

  • Lots of rial mounting options even on such a short PDW styled AR.

  • Metal V2 Gearboxes with metal gears and mostly all metal parts inside.

  • Easy access to motor for any possible trouble shooting you any need to do

Cons:

  • Plastic receiver.

  • Need to hold back charging handle to access hop-up.

  • You will need a very compact battery setup with most Specna Arms models.

Comments:

Value for your money is what comes to mind when I think about the entire Specna Ams AEG Airsoft Riffle product line, especially with the Core series. The Specna Arms Core SA-C07-PDW AEG Airsoft Rifle is probably one of my more favorite versions as I really like PDW style compact AR’s in general. You will have to make sure you have on hand a very compact battery as space is extremely limited but other than that one main downside to this style of AEG everything else about it for the money is bang on and worth any slight compromises.
