I finally got my hands on the new Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol that was introduced at this years SHOT Show, and I have already made my Table Top Review Video so make sure to watch that video for information on specifications, details, Pro’s and Con’s and more close up video… In this Field test Shooting video I focus on the performance of the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol by testing the velocity out with my Chronograph, and I also shoot 10 rounds into a paper target setup 30 feet down range to see what the real world velocity and accuracy truly is.
Starting off with the Velocity portion the test, as always I use a brand new 12 gram CO2 along with standard 5.1 grain Steel BB’s. Temperature for the record was about 22 degrees Celsius or 72 degrees Fahrenheit. Here are the result of my multi shot Chronograph testing as it seemed to keep shooting faster and fast so I ended up using the last 5 shots for my average: 354, 349, 348, 343, 344 fps with an average of 348 fps. That was fairly close but just a bit under the 370 claimed fps. Warmer temperatures could for sure get this Blowback Airgun up to the slightly higher claimed fps.
Next I shot 10 rounds into a fresh paper target 30 feet down range using a semi-rested shooting position, with my hands resting on a sand bag up front, and sitting on a comfortable stool in the back, for somewhat stable shooting. There is always going to be a bit of human factor involved, but I seemed steady on this day, and I did get a nice result for a Blowback CO2 Air Pistol. The Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol shot good for me out of the box. The grouping spread out about 2 inches total well center up and down, just a hair above the bullseye but did wonder off to the left a little bit. Still a very good result for a blowback Airgun.
I was very pleased with the performance of the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol. It had a lot more blowback action than I was expecting as the slide spring did feel kind of lazy to me when releasing it at first. The velocity was close to the mark and for sure as claimed in a warmer environment, and the accuracy was as good as you are going to get with a blowback BB Pistol. I didn't even mind the double action trigger at all as the first portion of the trigger is very light with almost no friction and even the release is not very heavy but for sure heavier than a true Single Action Trigger. I also like that you are going to get a lot more magazines worth of shots from a single CO2 out of the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol with it’s semi blowback action and magazine design that seals off the BB into the breach area of the barrel. If you are OK with a DO trigger on a Glock, then I would suggest you chose the Glock 17 MOS Semi Blowback over the Glock 19 MOS Full Blowback simply for the higher fps, better CO2 efficiency and slightly improved accuracy.

That was very consistent for a full blowback CO2 Airgun and close to the 280-290 claimed fps. Warmer temperatures could for sure get this Airgun up to the claimed fps.
Next I shot 10 rounds into a fresh paper target 30 feet down range using a semi rested shooting position, so with my hands resting on a sand bag up front and sitting on a stool in the back for somewhat stable shooting. There is always a bit of human factor involved but I seemed pretty steady on this day, and for what I consider to be a good result for a Full Blowback CO2 Air Pistol. The Umarex Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol shot a little bit low out of the box but well centered left to right. The grouping spread out about 3 inches total and that was mostly in the elevation so perhaps an inconsistency in velocity may have played a roll. In terms of windage (left to right placement), the group was closer to two inches total.
I was very pleased with the performance of the Umarex Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol , it shot really close to the claimed velocity with a fairly consistent fps for the most part. The accuracy was also right where I would expect a gun like this to perform and even though it shot a bit low on the bullseye, it was in the ball park and easy enough to simply adjust ones aim point to get more on target. The blowback action is quick and snappy with a nice simulated recoil and the single action trigger feels good. I did end up shooting two full 17 round magazines through this Airgun with no problem, and after letting it warm up a bit there is more than likely a third magazine left of CO2. If you want the most ultra realistic BB version of a Full Blowback Airgun with the ability to add a Red Dot to the top slide, then the Umarex Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol is the prefect choice!

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol is very similar to a real steel Glock Pistol as the full blowback action allows for a true single action only trigger and it has similar take-up, weight and release which makes this the perfect trainer if you own a similar Glock. Even the trigger safety is functional and not just for show.
Accuracy: At this point I have not shot the Umarex Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol so I can only quote what Umarex is saying in terms of FP2 which is around 290. That may seem on the low side for a 4.5 BB Pistol even for a blowback Airgun. This is because the blowback is a true full blowback similar to what you commonly find with Airsoft Blowback Airguns This is not a super efficient design as much of the CO2 usage goes to cycling the action of the slide so less is allocated to going down the barrel and propelling the Steel BB. This type of system also uses more CO2 per shot so it will use up CO2 fast.
Build Quality: TheUmarex Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pisto being a licensed Glock Pistol means it has to conform to Glocks high standard so it is made very well with excellent fit and finish. Like there real steel version the slide is metal and the frame is a polymer, of course there are other metal components throughout like the magazine, inner and outer barrel, slide catch release and many of the internal parts.
Realism: The Umarex Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol absolutely looks the part of a Glock 19 MOS. When sitting on the table and even holding it in your hand, you are going to think it's the real deal until of course you drop the magazine and see that it is a CO2 mag. Mostly everything operates like a real Glock 19 MOS and because it is full blowback the slide cycles all the way back and forth and the slide spring is nice and heavy so there is no lag to it, it does not have the clanky metallic sound a lot of CO2 Blowback pistols have which adds even further to the realism. You can even fully feel strip this version just lie a real Glock 19 MOS.
Pros:
Ultra realistic Replica in looks and function.
Good weight and feel to it, build quality seems excellent.
Really nice looking and full featured replica of the original Glock 19 Gen 5 MOC.

I was excited when I first saw the Glock 17 and 19 Gen 5 MOS 4.5mm Steel BB Blowback Airguns at SHOT Show this year adn have been really looking forward to getting my hands on them. Essentially the Umarex Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pisto is built very much like an Airsoft Full Blowback Airgun but it just shoots 4.5mm Steel BB’s rather than 6mm Airsoft BB’s which some people prefer if you are not so much into Airsoft games. Along with being full blowback the MOS system allows for adding a red dot to the rear of the slide so this gives you even more option when adding accessories to the Umarex Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol. I am pretty sure this one is going to be my favorite Umarex Glock but I’ll know for sure after I Field Test it!

In this Field Test Shooting Video I test out the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4 GBB Airsoft Pistol in the Replica Airguns Indoor Sean Airgun Shooting range. This product now comes with the longer sticking out barrel to increase the FPS for import into Canada to get it up and over the 360 FPS requirement using a .20 gram Airsoft BB. In my previous video I test out the Umarex Glock 19 Gen 3 GBB Airsoft Pistol but swapped out the longer barrel for the shorter barrel to see how much the sorter barrel reduces velocity and also if there is an impact on accuracy? For the velocity portion of this test I placed several .25 gram Airsoft BB’s through my Chronograph and was please to get a very consistent 355 average FPS reading which is very close to the claimed 360 FPS when using .20 gram Airsoft BB’s so if I had been using a lighter BB I would have for sure seen velocity up and over the 360 FPS.
In terms of accuracy the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4 GBB Airsoft Pistol also performed really well, maybe not as well as the short barrel Glock 19 Gen 3 I tested just last week that seemed to group just a little bit tighter and was a little bit more well vented on the target. Both the Glock 17 and Glock 19 shot a bit low but I am sure a slight hop-up tweak could rectify that. I did however manage to get around a 2 - 2.5 inch 10 shot grouping.
So in summary both the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4 and Glock 19 Gen 3 GBB Airsoft Pistols at least for now come with the longer barrels only and so you options are to either cut down the existing barrel or buy a shorter barrel and replace it, that is unless you like the look of the long sticking out barrel ;) You will get a velocity drop of around 75 FPS with the shorter barrel installed but I would say accuracy should be about the same at the end of the day.

In this Field Test Shooting Video I test out the Umarex Glock 19 Gen 3 GBB Airsoft Pistol in the Replica Airguns Indoor Sean Airgun Shooting range. I wanted to see how much of a difference the shorter barrel would make so I will be comparing the short barrel with the long barrel to find out the FPS and accuracy differences. In the Video I only shoot the Umarex Glock 19 Gen 3 GBB Airsoft Pistol with the short barrel but in my next video I Shot the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4 GBB Airsoft Pistol with its included long barrel for comparison.
For the velocity portion of this test I placed 5 .25 gram Airsoft BB’s through my Chronograph and was please to get a very consistent 276 average FPS reading with the slowest shot hitting 274 FPS and the fastest shot hitting 278 FPS so really close. Keep in mind I was using .25 gram Airsoft BB’s rather than .20 gram Airsoft BB’s so I would imagine the Umarex Glock 19 Gen 3 GBB Airsoft Pistol even using the shorter barrel should hit closer to 300 FPS with the lighter Airsoft BB’s.
In terms of accuracy the Umarex Glock 19 Gen 3 GBB Airsoft Pistol also performed really well, I did not make any adjustments to the gun after installing the shorter barrel not even to the hopup. I was pleased to see a fairly well centered 10 shot grouping mostly within a 2 inch grouping with perhaps one flyer extending that group to about 2.5 inches. All shots where well centered left to right but just a light bit under the target, a quick hopup adjustment should rectify that.
My next Vimeo Video will be focusing on the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4 GBB Airsoft Pistol with its included long barrel to see what kind of velocity gains we get for it and if the longer barrel helps with accuracy at all so look for that video early next week!

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4 and Glock 19 Gen 3 GBB Airsoft Pistols is fairly short with only a little bit of take up, the release is light and crips. The blowback action resets the internal Hammer / Striker with each shot for that true single action trigger and it’s also nice that the trigger does have a working trigger safety like the real steel versions.
Accuracy: At this point I have not shot either of the long barrel Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4 and Glock 19 Gen 3 GBB Airsoft Pistols so I can only quote what Umarex is saying in terms of FPS which is around 410 using Green Gas or Propane. These longer barreled versions should shoot fairly hot compared to the much shorter barreled versions and since i do have a short barrel Glock 17 Gen 4 I may also compare it at the same time to see what the actual barrel length does in terms of fps velocity. Of course my Field test Shooting video will also focus on accuracy add see what can be accomplished shooting a 10 shot grouping at 30 feet down range.
Build Quality: TheUmarex Glock 17 Gen 4 and Glock 19 Gen 3 GBB Airsoft Pistols seems well made overall. It does seem a little bit underweight but still feels solid enough in the hand, Glocks are not known for being all that hefty. The Slide is metal but has a bit of an unusual finish that makes it look a lot like the plastic frame rather than a more shiny metal look. All the parts seem to fit nicely, maybe even a bit snug at first as I noticed the side had a bit of friction to it but seems to be working in nicely now.
Realism: The Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4 and Glock 19 Gen 3 GBB Airsoft Pistols look the part of these Glocks all day long. Other then the slightly lighter weight it would be hard to tell off hand until you remove the magazine and take a closer look. All the parts work as you would expect them to, similar to the real steel version and you can even fully field strip the them which makes getting to and adjusting the hop-up easy enough to do. Getting the Umarex BB versions of the Glock 17 and Glock 19 has for sure been a bit easier since fps velocity is not a factor. So it’s great that we at least have a way to import these two Umarex Glock GBB Airsoft Pistols into Canada! Yes some home modifications may be required to cut down the inner barrel as the long extended barrels are certainly not practical for every day shooting. That said with the extended long barrels I did get out and shoot a few rounds through them and the added barrel length really does allow for a much faster velocity Airsoft BB making these Umarex GBB Airsoft Glocks more like snipper pistols :)

In this YouTube Update Preview Video I go over a couple new Umarex Glock Licensed GBB Airsoft Pistols that I feel require a bit of explaining. Essentially we already stock these same Umarex Glock Blowback Airsoft Pistols, but in the CO2 magazine versions. The Umarex Glock 17 Gen4 and Umarex Glock 19 Gen3 I highlight in this video come with Green Gas Magazines and both have extended inner barrels to allow for Canada import to increase the velocity to our over 360 fps using a .20 gram Airsoft BB.
Usually Green Gas Airsoft Pistols with extended inner barrels will have the ability to unscrew the extension and will even come with a shorter replaceable barrel but in this case all you get is the longer one piece inner barrel. My suggestion is to either cut down the long inner barrel to fit within the out barrel or purchase a short inner barrel when they are available.
At the moment we do not have either one of these Airsoft Pistols listed in our Replica Airguns Stores but they should pop up shortly!

Here are the Umarex Glock CO2 BB Pistols I test out in this Video Review:
First, I put four rounds through my Chrony Chronograph to see what the real world FPS would be, keep in mind I was using rubber balls rather than paintballs and the rubber balls are a little bit heavier and smaller in diameter than paintballs so this could bring the FPS down a bit compared to the slightly lighter paintballs. Using a brand new CO2, the Umarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol average 303 FPS which was higher than the claimed 290 FPS. Temperature inside my Indoor Sea Can Airgun Shooting Range was around 22 degrees Celsius or 72 degrees Fahrenheit.
Moving on to my accuracy testing as per my usual indoor field tests, I positioned myself 30 feet back from a fresh paper target and using a seated and rested shooting position I shot a full magazine (8 rounds) of rubber balls on target with the Umarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol. As mentioned before I was expecting around a 6 inch grouping and got pretty close to it getting closer to an 8 inch 8 shot grouping. The rubber balls did center well on the target all placing uniformly arounds the bullseye. If I was aiming at a human sized torso, I would have hit it with every shot from 30 feet away so good enough for me.
As expected I was able to get very similar and decent results compared to the other Umarex .43 Caliber CO2 Blowback Paintball Pistols I have already reviewed. I did want to mention some of shooting qualities you will find with the Umarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol. The trigger can feel a bit heavy especially using rubber balls as when you pull the trigger the inner barrel moves back and into the magazine going around the paintball and helping to seal off the CO2 from escaping. There is a bit of friction and I find the rubber paintballs seem to have more friction perhaps because the rubber grips more than the plastic surface on standard paintballs? This extra trigger friction or heaviness is really only noticeable when you are pulling the trigger slowly for accuracy testing but when shooting quickly as you would be more likely to do so in an actual training simulation, the trigger friction is all but forgotten about.
Type: Paintball Gun. Manufacturer:Umarex - T4E. Model:T4E TPM1 Materials: Metal & Polymer. Weight: 532 grams (1.2 pounds). Barrel: Smooth bore. Power Source: 1x12 gram CO2. Action: Semi-Automatic with blowback action. Ammo Type: .43 Caliber Paintball or Rubber Ball. Ammo Capacity: 8 Rounds. FPS: 290.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on Umarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol feels a lot like a double action trigger mainly because when you pull the trigger the inner barrel travels backwards into the magazine placing a paintball round in the barrel which seals the barrel with the magazine so less CO2 is wasted. This does make the trigger a little bit longer and heavier than a single action trigger. I believe the internal hammer/striker is engaged from the blowback action.
Build Quality: The build quality of the Umarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol is really very good, metal parts are where you would expect them, the slide, slide catch, barrel, magazine and most internal parts giving the Umarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol a decent overall weight with the magazine in which makes the Paintball version a little bit lighter than a real steel Glock 17 (624 grams - 22 ounces). The Umarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol does have a polymer frame but again this is normal with todays modern guns and helps keep the weight down. Fit and finish is also very good!
Realism: The Umarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol is not an actual replica of the the Glock17 Pistol, it is Umarex’s version of the Glock, Umarex does now the Glock lisense but perhaps they where not able to find an actual Glock 17 Paintball gun they could bring to market. The T4E TPM1 is designed to hold and feel similar to a Glock and for most real steel Glock owners the Umarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol would be close enough for training purposes. You will find that the slide cycle distance is a bit shorter than it would be meaning that when the side catch is engaged the slide does not go as far back as it the real 9mm Glock. Field stripping the Umarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol will requires some tools and pin removal.
Full Metal slide that locks back on the last shot.
All metal heavy full size drop out magazine adds some additional weight to the gun.
Good for Glock shooters looking for a similar training weapon.
Everything works pretty much like the real gun so again great as a training tool.
Easy to see yellow dot sights front and back.
Working trigger safety.
Fit and finish is excellent.
Magazine spring release really shoots the magazine out.
43 caliber barrel opening, adds to realism.
Cons:
White warning lettering stands out a bit too m much on the slide.
Magazine only holds 8 rounds, so you are going to need extra magazines for sure.
Blowback action is not full blowback, more like a typical half blowback BB gun.
Comments:
TheUmarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol is mechanically very close to the Umarex Walther PPQ M2 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol and the Umarex T4E S&W M&P9 M2.0 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol in how it functions as a Paintball Pistol so I expect all of them to shoot very similarly and that’s not a bad thing since previous versions I have tested so far have performed rather well for me in the Replica Airguns Sea Can Indoor Shooting Range. If you are a Glock fan than the Umarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol is about as close as you are going to get at least for now to a Glock Replica Paintball Pistol. As of right now being stuck at home, perhaps a Glock Paintball Trainer like the Umarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol using .43 caliber rubber ammo may just allow you to get some indoor shooting practice to keep your shooting skills up.
Starting off with my velocity power test using my Caldwell Ballistic Precision Chronograph, I was able to get really close to the factory claimed fps of 360 with an average of 347 fps. Shooting conditions where decent in the See Can compared to outside temperatures in late October but still not that warm at only 16 Degrees Celsius (60 Degrees Fahrenheit), a lot warmer than outside but still not as warm as your typical summer day. In warmer conditions I am sure I would have hit the claimed 360 or even high fps with the Umarex Glock 19X CO2 Blowback BB Pistol.
Next for my Field Testing , I placed 10 shots into a paper target with my Umarex Glock 19X CO2 Blowback BB Pistol from 30 feet down range using my standard seated and rested shooting position (Seated in the back and rested on a sand bag up front). I was able to get right around a 2 inch 10 shot group, not bad at all! The Umarex Glock 19X CO2 Blowback BB Pistol did shoot a little bit high and to the left which for some reason is common with most CO2 action airguns and I know it’s not entirely me since others have commented the their airguns shoot a bit to the left in most cases. Elevation was pretty close at 30 feet but just a tad high.
The Umarex Glock 19X CO2 Blowback BB Pistol is very similar to their Umarex Glock 17 3rd Gen in terms of their mechanical build and function since both use the same magazines and have that semi blowback action but I can say the Umarex Glock 19X CO2 Blowback BB Pistol not only looks better in my opinion but the slide is improved as it seems to have a less metallic sound and the slide wiggle is very minimal. The Umarex Glock 19X CO2 Blowback BB Pistol also did not lack in the performance department getting really close to the the claimed 360 FPS while shooting about the same 10 round grouping of 2 inches which is about what I expect for an action BB shooter. Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex Glock 19X CO2 Blowback BB Pistol is what I would call a double action trigger mainly because there is an indexing of the BB from the magazine into the breach area every time you pull the trigger which means the take up is longer thanks a standard Glock take up and there is a little bit of friction from the mechanical mechanism that indexes the BB making the trigger feel more like a double action only trigger.
Build Quality: TheUmarex Glock 19X CO2 Blowback BB Pistol seems to be really well made. Fit and finish are nice and slide wiggle is minimal. There is a bit of a clanky sound when the slide cycles but not as bad as the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 3 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol. I also think the Coyote finish is the nicest looking with its black on tan two tone look.
Realism: The Umarex Glock 19X CO2 Blowback BB Pistol absolutely looks the part of a Glock 19X, sitting on the table and even holding it in your hand you are going to think it's the real deal until of course you drop the magazine and see that it is a CO2 mag. Mostly everything operates like a real Glock 17 but the slide is not a full blowback meaning it only goes back about 3/4 as much as a real Glock 17 slide would. One other noticeable difference is the ability to quickly field strip the Umarex Glock 19X CO2 Blowback BB Pistol, you will need to remove a pin since the take down tabs are non functioning and moulded into the frame. It’s great to see Umarex expanding their live of Glock licensed Airguns and the addition of the Umarex Glock 19X CO2 Blowback BB Pistol is welcome! Some of you are not going to like the semi blowback action but it does mean you get higher fps and more shots per CO2 while still getting that simulated recoil form the blowback action. I honestly thing the Umarex Glock 19X CO2 Blowback BB Pistol is one of the most attractive Glock Airguns with it’s Coyote Tan frame and slide with black highlights, I also like the compact size for its shortened frame and slide over the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 3 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol. So many to choose for now but I guess that a good thing or perhaps just get them all!
In this Field Test Shooting Video I focus on Umarex’s latest CO2 Blowback BB Airgun, the Umarex Glock 17 4th Gen CO2 Blowback BB Pistol. We have been waiting a while for this one to ship and now that it’s here I really want to get to shooting it and finding out if it performed as good as it looked and felt.
I loaded up my Umarex Glock 17 4th Gen CO2 Blowback BB Pistol with a brand new 12 gram Sig Sauer CO2 cartridges along with some 4.5mm RWS 5.1 grain Zinc coated BB’s and began the Chronograph portion of my Indoor Field Test Shooting Video. The temperature was not overly warm sitting right around 19 degrees Celsius or 66 degrees Fahrenheit. Umarex claims roughly around 300 fps from the Umarex Glock 17 4th Gen CO2 Blowback BB Pistol but I was able to get just a bit high with my 5 shots through the Chronograph averaging 310 fps.
I then put up a paper target 30 feet down range, reloaded my full size drop out metal magazine with 10 more steel BB’s and proceeded to carefully place the 10 shots into the target using a rested and seated shooting position. I was able to get around a 3.5 inch grouping but I feel I could have done better since several rounds actually shot one on top of the other. The Umarex Glock 17 4th Gen CO2 Blowback BB Pistol did shot just a little bit low and to the left but not a lot.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol is single action only so you will need to rack the slide first to not only chamber a 4.5mm Steel BB in the breach area but to also cock the internal striker. There is a working trigger safety on the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol and you’ll also find the Glock 17 Gen 4 has a nice short and light trigger as you would expect similar to the real steel Glock. Perfect for fast action shooting!
Accuracy: At this point I have not shot the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol so I can only quote what Umarex is saying in terms of FP2 which is 300. That sounds reasonable based on other Airguns like this that have that full blowback action since much of the CO2 gas is used to work the action of the slide. This not only reduces how many shots you can expect o get out of a single 12 gram CO2 cartridge but a reduction in power over non-blowback or even partial blowback CO2 Airguns.
Build Quality: TheUmarex Glock 17 Gen 4 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol looks to be well made overall with metal and plastic parts where you would find them on a real steel Glock 17 Gen 4. Fit and finish are nice and the slide wiggle is next to zero. The slide spring is very heavy and the sound of the slide when racked and released does not have that cheap metallic sound some blowback Airguns have. I am expecting some pretty decent blowback action recoil from the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol when I do my Field Test Shooting Review!

I know everyone has been waiting for Umarex to release the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol and here it is finally, does it live up to all the hype and excitement? So far without shooting it I have to say yes, I am very pleased with how the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol looks and feels. There is not too much more you can ask for in a replica Airgun of any kind… it looks like the real steel version, it feels like there real steel version, it functions like there real steel version. Hopefully it shoots just as well! If you haven’t bought one of the Umarex Glocks so far then this one is the one to have, but I say why not have them all :)

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex Glock 17 4th Gen GBB Airsoft Pistol is fairly short with only a little bit of take up, the release is light and crips. The blowback action resets the internal Hammer / Striker with each shot for that true single action trigger and it’s also nice that the trigger does have a working trigger safety.
Accuracy: At this point I have not shot the Umarex Glock 17 4th Gen GBB Airsoft Pistol so I can only quote what Umarex is saying in terms of FP2 which is around 300 using Green Ga or Propane. This is fine for playing Airsoft games but for Canada import it can get a bit sticky. Luckily we where able to get a bunch into Canada so hopefully we can get some more in our Canada Replica Airguns Store in the future… US supply will be less of a problem.
Build Quality: TheUmarex Glock 17 4th Gen GBB Airsoft Pistol seems well made overall. It does seem a little bit underweight but still feels solid enough in the hand. The Slide is metal but has a bit of an unusual finish that makes it look a lot like the plastic frame rather than a more shiny metal look. All the parts seem to fit nicely, maybe even a bit snug at first as I noticed the side had a bit of friction to it but seems to be working in nicely now.
Realism: The Umarex Glock 17 4th Gen GBB Airsoft Pistol looks the part of a Glock 17 4th Generation all day long. Other then the slightly lighter weight it would be hard to tell off hand until you remove the magazine and take a closer look. All the parts work as you would expect them to, similar to the real steel version and you can even fully field strip the Umarex Glock 17 4th Gen GBB Airsoft Pistol which makes getting to and adjusting the hop-up easy enough to do. Getting the Umarex BB versions of the Glock 17 and Glock 19 has for sure been a bit easier since fps velocity is not a factor. So it was great that we where able to import at least some of these Umarex Glock 17 4th Gen GBB Airsoft Pistols into Canada. I hope we will be able to continue supplying the Glock Airsoft versions in our Canada Replica Airguns Store but I can not promise anything… So if you see some in stock then grab one while you still can!
This year at SHOT Show Las Vegas 2019 Umarex introduced some new Glock's, a New Beretta and a new Pellet Rifle which unfortunately was not brought to my attention when I did my Interview so sorry now coverage of the Ruger 10/22 CO2 Pellet Rifle :(
Starting with two new CO2 Blowback 4.5mm BB Glocks, Umarex now has a Glock 17 Generation 3 partial blowback CO2 BB Glock with a full size drop out metal magazine. This setup will increase the fps a bit since it uses the more efficient partial blowback system. If you would rather have a full Blowback CO2 BB Glock then Umarex has it in a Glock 17 Generation 4 version that functions pretty much like a traditional Airsoft Blowback gun but instead this one uses 4.5mm steel BB’s.
In terms of Blowback Airsoft Glocks Umarex has a two Glock 17’s, yo can get them in generation 3 or 4 an both are full blowback with full size drop out metal magazines.
Umarex introduced a really nice M9A3 Beretta this year at SHOT Show 2019. The Umarex Beretta M9A3 comes in the FDE color scheme and has an extended threaded barrel that should be able to take a much suppressor. The Beretta M9A3 is full blowback with a full size dropout metal magazine and can be shot in semi or full auto.
Now for the Umarex Ruger 10/22 Pellet Rifle I completely missed at the Umarex booth… Well if you didin’t know there was a pellet version of this rifle you would be hard pressed to be abel to tell the difference between it and the real 22LR version! The Umarex Ruger 10/22 Pellet Rifle utilizes twin 12 gram CO2 cartridges to fire .177 caliber pellets. It has a 10 round drop out magazine with interchangeable rotary nmagzines that can be pre-loaded. And yes the Umarex Ruger 10/22 Pellet Rifle is a blowback Airgun!
