I am really excited to let you in on some more Replica Airguns Store news. We have some really nice Air guns from ASG on order, I don't just yet have an ETA on when they will be here but should know in a little while...

First off we have the ASG CZ 75 P-07 Duty in Blowback Dual Tone:

"The CZ 75 P-07 DUTY is the new generation of the CZ 75 family which was first designed back in 1975 by the famous small arms manufacturer Česká zbrojovka, Czech Republic. This is the semi automatic 4.5mm (.177) airgun version fully licensed by CZ. It is powered by a 12g CO2 cartridge stored in the grip using the easy-load system and the BB’s are put in the drop-out magazine. The CZ 75 P-07 DUTY is a compact tactical upgraded version compared to the standard CZ 75. Besides being more compact in size the P-07 DUTY has an integrated front waiver rail for mounting light and laser. The grip and metal slide carries authentic CZ markings and every gun comes with unique serial number."

• Length: 7.3 inches.
• Weight: 1.8 pounds.
• Magazine: 4.5mm BB's x 20.
• FPS: 361.

We also have on order some ASG Dan Wesson Revolvers in 6 inch Nickel and 8 inch Black barrel Versions:

"The legendary semi automatic revolver licensed by Dan Wesson – 6” silver and 8 inch black versions. The revolver has authentic markings and an individual serial number stamped into the frame. The revolver features a double action trigger system and adjustable rear sight for extra realism and accuracy. The Dan Wesson revolver is made of metal except for the ergonomical grip constructed in hard ABS plastic.

The 12g CO2 cartridge is stored under the grip and is easily accessed by sliding the grip to the side – easy-load style. Each of the 6 cartridges holds one BB and is placed in the metal drum that rotates as each round is fired. The revolver comes with a speed loader, changeable tactical rail and 6 cartridges."

• Length: 11.7/13.3 inches.
• Weight: 2.25/2.3 pounds.
• Magazine: 4.5mm BB's x 6.
• FPS: 426.

Type: Multi-pump Air Pistol.

Manufacturer: Webley - Zoraki ATAK Arms.

Model:Alecto -  HP-01

Materials: Polymer shell with metal internal parts.

Weight: 2.4 pounds.

Barrel: 7.2 inches, metal rifled.

Propulsion: MSP Multi-stroke pneumatic.

Action: Single shot.

Ammunition Type: .177 & .22 caliber pellets.

Ammunition Capacity: 1 pellet.

FPS: 495+.

Trigger Pull: You simply can not get a better trigger. You can adjust it left and right and forwards and backwards. You can also adjust the tension from .9 lbs to 4 lbs and the break point is smooth as butter.

Accuracy: Awesome, I got about a 1 inch group from a free standing position 20 feet away.

Build Quality: Build quality is excellent, it does have an external outer plastic shell but it is very solid and made of what seems to be high quality weapons grade polymer. All the internal mechanical parts are made out of metal.

Realism: This is not a replica air gun but it does resemble the Desert Eagle in shape and size.

Purchased From: the Replica Airguns Store.

Pros:

• Very accurate for a pistol.

• Only a few pumps generate a lot of power.

• Fully adjustable trigger and grips.

• Fully adjustable sites, including a rotating front site for quick adjust near and far shooting.

• Great safety design with one finger operation.

<!-- google_ad_client = "ca-pub-9036472715040282"; /* Replica Airguns Content */ google_ad_slot = "1487049688"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15; //-->

Cons:

• If you're left handed you have to buy the extra left hand grip separately.

• Comes with the pressure release valve adjusted a bit too lean. (seems to let pressure out even with only two pumps)

• May be a bit to large for small handed shooters.

Comments:

I originally got this target air pistol mainly to test it out and do a review for the website, thinking I was going to send it back at the end. After playing around with it for a while, I have decided I simply can not part with it. The Webley Alecto is just to addictive to shoot and has such great power and accuracy that you kind of forget it's not an action shooter. you get lost in literally blasting away anything you point it at.

The Webley Alecto isn't exactly a "Replica Airgun" but it's really addictive to shoot and OK maybe it looks just a bit like the Desert Eagle? Unlike most BB guns, the Webley Alecto is all about accuracy and consistency. I found myself shooting at all kinds of targets just to see if I could hit them and this gun is simply amazing. It is essentially a PCP compressed air gun that has a three stage pump, you can pump it up to three times to get the maximum feet per second.

I found the one I have (Canadian Version with detuned pressure release valve) had little to no fps gain pumping it the third time because to be imported into Canada it must shoot under 500 fps. The valve can be adjusted internally but you risk higher then 500 fps shots which would make it a Restricted Controlled Firearm in Canada.

One of the most amazing attributes about this compressed air gun is the trigger, it's fully adjustable and smooth as butter. Another nice attention to detail is the included hard shell case and factory quality control test target.

The gun is made in Turkey for Webley by Zoraki and is the HP-01. Unlike the Zoraki version (.177 cal. only), with the Webley Alecto, you have the choice of either a .177 or .22 caliber. I went for the .22 caliber model and mine will for sure get a Red Dot Scope mounted on it one of these days :)

The Replica Airguns YouTube Channel just recently hit Three Quarters of a Million Upload Views!! I'm going for a million views over the next month or two so wish me luck! The other good news is the main Replica Airguns website (this one) is also getting busier and busier, I went from about 30,000 page views last month (December 2010) to about 60,000 page views this month (January 2011). That's amazing considering this website was only started six months ago last year in July.

I want to thank everyone for your ongoing visits and support - Thanks!!!

Update: Stock has arrived, we are now shipping these guns!

I picked up a few really nice EKOL blank guns a couple of weeks ago to see what they where like. I was not expecting them to be as nice as they where! And I was also impressed with the fact that all three of the guns did not have a single jam, miss-feed or failure to eject the first time shooting them.

I am happy to say that in a couple of weeks, the US Replica Airguns Store will be carrying at least some of the EKOL product line, and not just EKOL's blank shooters but also one of their BB CO2 air pistols, the ES 55.

Here are the products we will be carrying in the Replica Airguns Store:

EKOL ARDA 5 Shot 8mm P.A.K. (Black & Chrome)

EKOL TUNA 5 6 Shot 8mm P.A.K. (Black & Chrome)

EKOL MAJOR 7 Shot 9mm P.A.K. (Black & Chrome)

UmarexAir released a SHOT Show YouTube video of their new replica BB and Pellet CO2 Airgun pistol styled after the Smith & Wesson M&P 45. Like Umarex's brand new Walther PPQ CO2 Pistol, the M&P 45 also utilizes a two magazine system with an 8 round capacity, one in black plastic for the BB's and one in silver metal for pellets. This air pistol looks to share many similarities with the CP99 and CPSport in design.

UmarexAir just released a YouTube video showcasing their latest replica Walther PPQ BB and Pellet CO2 Pistol introduced at the SHOT Show. It come with two 8 shot rotary magazines, one in black that is used for BB's and one in sliver for the pellets. I am assuming the black one is made out of plastic and the silver magazine is made out of metal. It also looks like the PPQ has an all metal top slide and uses a similar deign to the Umarex Walther CP99 and CPSport CO2 pellet pistols.

Umarex introduced a few new Airguns at the SHOT show this week, two of them (the PPQ and S&W M&P 45) look to be BB/Pellet shooters that house a rotary magazine within the slide (similar to the Umarex Walther CPSport). From the closeup picture of the Umarex Walther PPQ, it looks like it is going to retail for around $70! I wonder if it has as much metal as teh other Umarex products similar in design?

I'm not sure if the Umarex Smith & Wesson M&P 45 BB/Pellet shooter uses a rotary magazine like the PPQ but I would bet money it does.

And lastly Umarex has introduced a new BB Air Gun Revolver, the Smith & Wesson R8 BB Revolver. Judging by the photo, I'd have to say it looks a bit like they used similar ideas you'd find in the Dan Wesson CO2 Air pistol.

My scope mounting hardware came in today and I got right to work adding my new Aim 3x9x40 Rubber Scope and Foregrip to it. I wasn't planning on putting on the Foregrip, it just kind of happened and it looks good, so it may just stay on the CX4?

I ordered a Picitinny/Weaver Deluxe Riser Mount because I wasn't sure if the scope would clear the built in sites and I was thinking I wanted to mount the 3x9x40 Scope toward the rear but as it happened my high rise ring mounts where already the perfect hight and the Picitinny/Weaver Deluxe Riser Mount I ordered wasn't required!

Guess I'll have to shelf the Riser Mount for another project, I'm sure one day it will come in handy.

I applied several month ago to become a "YouTube Partner" and the day has finally come... and the news was great! What does this mean? It means I have even more motivation to keep creating Videos and Articles for my YouTube Channel and this Blog!

Today I had  the opportunity to to work with the production company "Punjabi Sports", they where shooting a full length movie called "One Life" that required some authentic looking prop guns for one of the scenes in the movie. I had a great time and learned a lot about how much is involved in making just a few minutes of final movie footage. I have to say next time I will dress just a bit warmer.

Below are some quick photos I took with my iPhone while on set.

All I want for Christmas is a Casio EX FC100 High Speed 1000 Frames Per Second Camera, and I'm getting one!

I know this website is all about Replica Air Guns and Blank Guns but I got to keep up with the Jone's! What I'm trying to say is there are some pretty sweet YouTube videos out there that take advantage of some High-Speed capable cameras that can take video up to as many as 1000 frames-per-second. Even though at that super high frame rate the resolution drops down a lot, you still get to see every single thing that the naked eye can't.

Even with my high end Digital SLR Canon EOS Rebel T2i, that is 60 frames per second capable in High Definition, I'm still not able to really slow the motion down enough to see the real story. That will all soon change...

Thanks to phgHunter, another YouTuber with some air gun interests and a high speed camera of his own, I was introduced to the Casio EX FC100. And if by fate, I received an email today from CanadaComputers.com and just as I was about to throw it in the trash I caught a glimpse of what I though just might be the camera I was looking at. A couple of clicks, wallet openings, credit card security formalities and wham-bam thanks for the camera mam! All for the ridiculously low sale price of only $153.42 shipped and taxed :) Thanks Santa's wallet!

Look forward to my future videos complete with super-slow-mo!

UPDATE: I just got an email from CanadaComputers.com but a week later informing me that I paid $40 too much as it's now on sale for only $89. I sent them an email in hopes that they will reimburse my payment the difference! We'll see what they do...

UPDATE #2: I will not be buying anything else from CanadaComputers.com.

Let's go for one million YouTube "Upload Views"!

• UMAREX MAGNUM RESEARCH DESERT EAGLE BLOWBACK PELLET PISTOL CHRONOGRAPH TEST

Type: Pellet air pistol.

Manufacturer: Umarex.

Model:Magnum Research Desert Eagle.

Materials: Exterior mostly polymer with internal metal parts.

Weight: 2.4 pounds.

Barrel: 5.7 inches, metal-rifled.

Propulsion: CO2 x 1.

Action: Semi auto, blowback, double and single action.

Ammunition Type: .177 cal. Pellets.

Ammunition Capacity: 8 rounds - rotary magazine.

FPS: 425.

Trigger Pull: The trigger uses two stages. The first stage rotates the magazine while the last stage releases the hammer. When in double action mode the trigger also engages the hammer. Overall the trigger pull I would consider to be a medium pull yet smooth making it easy to shoot on target.

Accuracy: Very good, the Umarex Desert Eagle makes a great semi-auto target shooter as far as 30 to 40 feet out.

Build Quality: Even though the external shell of the Desert Eagle is mostly plastic, it is still a very well made gun. Most of the internal parts that matter seem to be made out of metal. The fit and finish is also very good.

Realism: This is a very close replica to the real actual Magnum Research Desert Eagle with licensed trademarks and most everything in all the right places. However, other than the safety lever, many of the mechanical aspects of the gun are either non-functioning or serve an alternative purpose. The slide release actually opens the loading bay by making the barrel slide forward. The disassembly lever is non-functioning and is molded into the plastic along with the magazine release button.

Purchased this form: The Replica Airguns Store.

Pros:

• Good reproduction of the original Magnum Research Desert Eagle.

• Would make an excellent training gun as it has a similar size, weight, and feel to the actual Desert Eagle handgun. (With obviously much less kick :)

• Blowback action and loud report add to the realism of shooting this pellet pistol.

• Nice high FPS for a blowback pellet gun.

• Good accuracy.

• Adjustable rear sight.

• Picatinny rail on top and bottom for accessories like a scope, red dot, laser sight and/or tactical light.

Cons:

• Heavy usage of CO2.

• Slide does not stay back after 8th shot so you need to count them off or you end up wasting CO2 before you realize no pellets are coming out.

• No way to keep the slide back, no working slide release.

• Lots of usage of plastic, would have been nice to have seen more metal in it.

• Large gun, not suitable for people with small hands.

Comments:

The Umarex Desert Eagle is a very unique pellet blowback air pistol, there are very few airgun pistols that include blowback, shoot pellets and have decent accuracy and FPS . The Umarex Desert Eagle is a very close replica of the original Magnum Research Desert Eagle. It has very good accuracy but you can only expect about 32 good shots (4 magazines) out of a CO2 cartridge. If you're looking for an airgun that may be a bit of a handful and can get over the abundance of plastic and hunger for CO2, than you will be rewarded with a predictable, accurate and enjoyable true semi-auto target pistol.
