This may the one of the most Airguns I have tested out at the same time here in the Replica Airguns Indoor Shooting Range. It took a little bit longer than normal but I go through it with only one of the CO2 Blowback BB Pistols acting up juts a bit at the beginning. After a quick fix the rest of the show went on the road you could say!
What exactly was the purpose of testing out 5 CO2 Blowback BB Pistols all together? I wanted to compare my most compact CO2 Blowback BB Pistols to each other to see which one performed the best in my Chronograph Velocity Test and 30 foot 10 Round Target Test. There was no definitive clear winner at the end of the day two of the Air Pistols performed almost the same and then the rest kind of lingered behind them to lesser degrees.

After my Umarex Walther PPK/S Revisit Videos several people commented about comparing the Umarex Walther PPK/S to some more similar Compact Blowback Airguns other than the KWC Makarov PM. The Sig Sauer 936 came up a few times and so I figured I would see what I could find in terms of some other compact CO2 Blowback BB Pistols.
In this video I take a look at them all and go over some basic specs and design features for each Blowback CO2 BB Pistol. I will be following this table top compassion with an Indoor Field Test Shooting Comparison for each of these Air Pistols.
Seems like all I am focussing on is Airsoft guns lately, well that's just what is coming across my table at the moment... Don't worry I am sure there will be some BB gun reviews coming up shortly :) Anyway in this Field Test Shooting Review I take a look at the ASG Bersa BP9CC CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol and test its accuracy and velocity. If you want some more details on this gun I have already made some other videos for the 4.5mm steel BB version so you can watch both my Table Top and Field Test Shooting videos for the 4.5mm Steel BB ASG Bersa BP9CC CO2 Blowback Pistol.
Getting to the actual Field Test Shooting review, I performed my standard five round Chronograph velocity fps test using .20 gram plastic Airsoft BB's with a brand new 12 gram CO2. The fastest Airsoft BB achieved by the ASG Bersa BP9CC CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol was 413 fps and the slowest came in at 342 fps with a five shot average of 390 fps. The slowest shot was the last one in my Chronograph test and it even sounded a bit different like it wasn't getting full CO2 from the valve. This would present a problem later on in my accuracy test as it seemed the CO2 valve need to working in before this gun started to perform properly. I am guessing there may have been some debris in the valve area that needed to work its way out?
On with my Field Test Shooting portion of this review to determine the accuracy of the ASG Bersa BP9CC CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol. I set myself up 30 feet back shooting from a semi-rested position (Sand bag up front and standing in the back). This shooting position serves to provide a stable shooting platform for overall accuracy and what I should expect to get from the ASG Bersa BP9CC CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol. Keep in mind the results are always dependant on how I shoot on the day of my testing.
I shot rounds through the ASG Bersa BP9CC CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol but as I mentioned before I believe the CO2 valve was messing with the guns performance, so what was happening was some shots would get full Co2 and work fine while other shots only got a portion of the CO2 which did not allow for the blowback action to fully cycle and caused the internal hammer to not get set in the full cocked position. I did get about half of my shots to hit the target but my results where not what I would expect from the ASG Bersa BP9CC CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol. It is more than capable of getting at least a 4 inch group from 30 feet out so don't take this particular test to seriously.
After tearing down my camera gear I decided to load up another CO2 into the ASG Bersa BP9CC CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol and shot several magazines through it. This did seem to fix the problem and which leads me to believe that I simply needed to work this gun in a little bit. Out of the box Airguns can have some machining materials in them that can cause performance issues as I believe was the case for the ASG Bersa BP9CC CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol. Luckily I was able to get mine working properly!

In this Field Test Shooting videos review I take the ASG Bersa BP9CC CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol through its paces and test it using my Chronograph to see what kind of real world fps we can expect from it. I also perform my usual 30 foot back paper target accuracy test to see what kind of a 10 shot grouping the ASG Bersa BP9CC CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol will achieve.
I have to be honest and say that there may have been a problem with the valve in my test unit since I was getting really inconsistent velocity readings using my Chronograph to test out the fps. I could even hear the difference in how much CO2 was being let out with each shot and even the recoil from the blowback slide was sometimes very hard and sometimes very soft. I did end up getting an average of 356 fps but it ranged anywhere from 420 right down to below 300 fps?
With the extreme velocity readings I was getting I did not expect the ASG Bersa BP9CC CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol to be super accurate as velocity can really effect the high and low target placement but I was surprised when pretty much all the shots hit within a 3 inch group, with the excepting of a double shot that obviously shot slow and low. This double shot was a result of the slide not kicking back all the way and not reset the single action internal hammer so when I pulled back the trigger I loaded a round into the barrel but could not fire the gun. Resulting in me having to manually pull the slide back and then pull the trigger back a second time, loading a second Airsoft BB into the barrel and firing both BB's at the same time.
My 4.5mm Steel BB version did not seem to have this inconsistent power problem so it may be that my gun either needed some break in time or perhaps had a faulty valve? Even so It actually performed well during the accuracy portion of the test for me.
First off I have reviewed all of these ASG guns in the BB version which I will link to below so you can read the full reviews. The main difference with this review is that I am reviewing the 6mm Airsoft versions and in the case of the ASG Bersa BP9CC and ASG CZ 75D Compact, the only difference is the ammo they shoot, with the ASG CZ 75 P-07 Duty, my Airsoft version is not blowback whereas the 4.5mm Steel BB version I reviewed earlier did have blowback operation.
My YouTube video for these ASG Airsoft versions does go into a lot of detail on each gun but in this written review I will keep to the basics since you can get most of the detailed information already in my 4.5mm Steel BB reviews for each gun.
Some more CO2 pistols I will be doing Table Top and Field Test video reviews for in the near future. Some of them I have already reviewed in different caliber versions, either 4.5mm Steel BB or 6mm Plastic Airsoft.
From KWC I show off two revolvers styled after the 357 and if you watched my Umarex Colt Python 357 Review then you will notice the similarities between these KWC made revolvers since they are all made by KWC. The Model 357 6 inch version is finished in Chrome and made to shoot 4.5mm Steel BB's while the KWC Model 357 2.5 inch shoots 6mm Plastic BB's and is in all black. At this time I do not have these KWC revolver listed in the Replica Airguns Canada Store but should have them listed fairly soon...
Here is my follow up Shooting Field Test to my ASG STI Duty One Non-blowback Table Top Review. During this Field Test Shooting video review I not only shoot my Non-blowback STI Duty One version but I also compare it to the Blowback ASG STI Duty One to see if fps and accuracy are effected when adding Blowback to the equation? I shoot 5 rounds through my Chronograph with both guns to get an average fps and I also step back 30 feet and setup resting my hands on a sand bag and standing in the back for a fairly secure shooting stance. I did my standard 10 shot grouping for my accuracy test from 30 feet away.
Overall both guns performed similarly and as expected the Blowback did effect the fps but not as much as I expected it to? I was expecting the Non-blowback STI Duty One to be at least 50 fps faster but it was only around 20 or so. I am fairly certain since the fps os so close between the two guns, that you will get more shots form a CO2 out of the Non-blowback ASG STI Duty One since there is no CO2 being used to make the slide recoil back and forth. In the end the Non-blowback STI shot an average fps of 373 while the Blowback version shot an average fps of 356.
When it came to accuracy, both guns performed about the same getting about a 2 inch group from 30 feet back. The Blowback STI did spread the BB's out more from side to side perhaps because of the slide recoil while the Non-blowback ASG STI Duty One seemed to shoot Horizontally tighter.
Personally since both guns shoot almost as high of fps and both STI Duty One's seem to be about the same accuracy wise. Why not just go with the blowback version since you will be shooting in single action most of the time which allows for a faster and lighter trigger pull. The only real downside to the Blowback STI Duty One is perhaps a bit more CO2 usage but you can still expect to get around 100 shots per CO2 which is very good for a CO2 blowback pistol.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the ASG STI Duty One 1911 Non Blowback is fairly light in both single and double action. Take-up is the same in both modes but when in single action mode most of the trigger pull has little to no resistance until you get to the break point near the end where the hammer is released.
Accuracy: In an Earlier review I shot the Blowback version STI Duty One 1911 air gun at a target from 20 feet away in a free standing position, and it performed well getting a 1.5 to 2 inch grouping right in the center of the target. The rear sight is adjustable for windage which is always nice to have just in case you are shooting a bit to the left or right. For me there was no need to adjust the sights. My Chrony testing with an eight shot averaged result was 373 fps - very decent for a blowback pistol! It will be interesting to see how this Non Blowback version performs since there is more CO2 going to the BB and less gun movement without the Blowback operation.
Build Quality: ASG did a great job designing and making the STI Duty One 1911 Non Blowback BB gun, they didn't really compromise on anything other than going with a polymer frame! With that said all that important parts like the Slide, Slide Catch, Safety, Mag Release, Hammer, Barrel and Magazine are all metal. The fit and finish as with all the ASG air guns is very good!
Realism: The ASG STI Duty One 1911 Non Blowback version is a close replica to the real steel STI 1911, the only real giveaway is the trigger design, as a true 1911 trigger is not your typical lever type. Even with the different type of trigger the STI Duty One is a very good replica complete with STI licensing and trademarks.
No Blowback action but does have a working slide and slide catch.
Adjustable rear sight for windage.
Shoots in both single and double action.
Good quality control, very well made, fit and finish is good.
Should have good power and accuracy like the blowback version, perhaps even a bit better.
May have even better CO2 usage than the already good blowback version.
Metal drop out magazine.
Good STI Replica.
Holds really well in the hand.
Cons:
Trigger is not true to the real steel 1911.
No working grip safety like a real 1911.
Polymer frame rather than a metal frame.
CO2 can be hard to get out.
Comments:
In terms of comparing the Non Blowback version of the ASG STI Duty One 1911 to the Blowback version without actually shooting it, they are pretty much identical except for the double and single action trigger found on the Non Blowback version. Even the slide seems to work the same. The big difference will be when I shoot the Non Blowback ASG STI Duty One. Will it shoot with a lot more FPS and will the reduced slide movement give it more accuracy? I am assuming yes to both of these question but I guess we will all have to wait and see when I do my official Shooting Field Test Comparison...

This video is to give you a heads up on a few guns I will be reviewing shortly. Most of them are different version of guns I have already reviewed except for the Baby Desert Eagle which so far has eluded me :)
I was waiting for a magazine for my ASG STI Duty One 1911 to show up so I could finally do this "Head to Head" Field Test Shooting Review Video for the ASG STI Duty One versus the ASG CZ 75 P-07 Duty versus the ASG Bersa BP9cc. All of which are Blowback CO2 4.5mm Steel BB pistols.
This Shooting Field Test went fairly well and all guns performed as expected, I did have one slide lock back on a loaded magazine with my ASG STI Duty One 1911 and one failure to lock back on the last shot with my ASG Bersa BP9cc, but it did eventually lock back.
During the Chronograph 5 shot per pistol test I got fairly similar fps from all three guns with the STI Duty One getting the highest of 372 average fps, the Bersa BP9cc getting runner up with 353 average fps and the CZ 75 P-07 Duty trailing the field just a bit with a 346 average fps.
During the target portion of this Field Test Shooting Review from 30 feet back in a semi rested position, again the pistols shot fairly similarly with all of them getting pretty close to 2-3 inch groupings. I did have a double shot right after my slide lock back on the STI Duty One as I pressed the trigger twice, once when the slide was locked back and again when I released it, this chambered two BB's into the barrel making the gun shoot a bit low for that double shot. With that negative one against the STI Duty One 1911, I did however find it the most pleasing to shoot! It had the best blowback action and the smoothest trigger, plus I just like holding and sighting in 1911's :)
The CZ 75 P-07 had the next hardest blowback with the Bersa BP9cc coming in second in the trigger department. All of these CO2 blowback BB pistols should get somewhere around 100+ shots pre CO2 if you take your time a bit between reloading magazines.

One of my favorite ASG pistols is the Bersa BP9CC, I have already reviewed it and I just really like how this gun looks and holds, ASG took it one step further this year by adding a two-tone silver version and I have to say it looks awesome in person, my photos do not do it justice at all :(
A new handgun to the ASG blowback pistol series is the CZ P-09 Duty Pellet pistol. Basically it shares similar mechanics to the Umarex PX4 and Gamo PT-85 using the double sided rotary pellet magazine with 8 shots located on each end of the stick magazine. The ASG CZ P-09 Duty features a metal slide, working hammer and safety.
Another pellets pistol that should be very familiar to most of you is the new .177 caliber pellet shooting Dan Wesson in 6 inch silver and 8 inch black versions. ASG added a rifled barrel and redesigned solid brass shells that hold pellets instead of 4.5mm Steel BB's. Expect to take a little bit longer to reload the pellets as unscrewing the tip of each shell is required to place a .177 caliber pellet in each bullet tip.
Of course ASG has tons of licensed pistols to choose from, many on both 4.5mm Steel BB and 6mm Plastic Airsoft!
One new rifle that stood out to me was the ASG CZ Scorpion EVO 3 A1 AEG Airsoft Rifle, the Scorpion features an intelligent AEG system that detects when there may be a potential feeding problem and also when the magazine is out of ammo.

In this part of the review I test the ASG Bersa BP9CC 4.5mm BB Pistol using my Chronograph to see what the 5 shot feet per second average is using a fully charged CO2 cartridge. Even on this rather cold day, the ASG Bersa BP9CC BB Airgun performed even above the factory claimed 350 fps and was very consistent, within a few fps for each shot averaging 366 fps.
I also take the ASG Bersa BP9CC CO2 Blowback BB Pistol back 20 feet and shoot it at a target using a semi rested position (sand bag up front, kneeling in the back) and shoot 10 rounds into the target getting a not too bad 2 inch grouping with this small short barreled blowback airgun. Near the end of the video I use my high speed slow motion camera setting to capture the blowback in both 400 and 1200 frames per second so you can see for yourself how the blowback action works.
All in all the ASG Bersa BP9CC CO2 Blowback BB Pistol performed very well and had no malfunctions, the accuracy was respectable for an action blowback pistol like this one and the same goes for the fps being that the ASG Bersa has both blowback and a short barrel. I was also very happy with the CO2 efficiency getting close to 120 shots (6 magazines) out of a single 12 gram CO2 cartridge.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the ASG Bersa BP9CC is light due to its true blowback operation that cocks the internal striker back with each shot taken. For some reason there is a slight creepiness in the trigger when the metal magazine is loaded, but it does not effect the lighter weight of the trigger pull. There is also a fair amount of take-up but the reset is short.
Accuracy: I shot the ASG Bersa BP9CC Blowback Airgun at a target from 20 feet away in a semi rested position, and it performed well getting a 2 inch grouping fairly centered on the target. The sights are non-adjustable, but for me there was no real need to adjust them. My initial Chrony testing puts this gun right in the 350 fps range.
Build Quality: ASG did another great job with the Bersa BP9CC, quality and build characteristics are very similar to my CZ 75 P-07 DUTY reviewed earlier. Everything that should be metal and polymer is the same on this as the original, and the fit and finish is very good in general!
Realism: The ASG Bersa BP9CC BB gun is as close as you can get to the real steel version while still retaining a good overall working airgun, the only real giveaway is the slightly longer but-plate on the magazine (most likely to allow for the CO2 screw tab). It looks very much like the real deal right down to the licensed Bersa trademarks and the 9x19 caliber markings on the slide and ejection port.
Good power and decent accuracy for a blowback gun with good usage of CO2.
Very well made, fit and finish is very good.
Very usable white dot sights.
All metal dropout magazine.
Gun feels great in the hand, love the thin profile.
Cons:
Magazine but plate is a bit on the long side, only telltale sign. also has strange moulding marks on it.
Trigger is a bit creepy when you have a loaded magazine and if you very slowly pull the trigger a BB can drop out of the barrel if holding downward.
Blowback is mild because of the lighter slide and reduced blowback movement.

There are few smaller blowback air pistols that not only look great but perform well, this is one of them! I love the thin profile and overall operation of this pistol, for that very same reason the real steel version is doing exceptionally well here in North America which would make this airgun version a must have for any owners of the 9mm Bersa BP9CC. I highly recommend the ASG Bersa BP9CC 4.5mm BB Blowback Pistol to anyone looking for a very good quality and realistic BB pistol that does not compromise performance and build quality.
I just received some of my ASG Airsoft guns in my BC location and wanted to make an update video for you so you can see them up close and perhaps see how they stack up against their Airgun counterparts. Keep in mind many of my ASG guns are only available in the Canada Replica Airguns Store, we do have some ASG Airsoft guns for my US based customers but this time here in Canada I have more to offer my Canadian folks!
I am also super impressed with the high quality of the LMT Defender M4 Carbines, they are a serious bit of gear and have some very good heft to them, even more so than my full metal King Arms M4A1 I already sell and have done a full review of, not to take anything away from the Kings Arms product as it is very good at its price point.
I also received my first sniper rifle and have played around with it a bit to see what it is capable of. I added a bipod to the front and a 3x9 power scope as the ASG AW .308 comes pretty bare bones but ready for all you can throw at it. I can say it likes heavier Airsoft BB's, as the .20 gram ones I started with seemed to fly off in all directions due to the high velocity, even stepping up to a .25 gram BB tightened my group up significantly at 30 feet. I have heard this rifle really prefers heavy Airsoft BB's so I plan do do my review based on that information.

We have been waiting a while here in Canada for some of our ASG products to come back in stock. ASG provides us with our Dan Wesson line and the Dan Wesson Revolvers have been a very popular airgun to say the least. One of my viewers sent some photos of his custom sanded and polished two-tone ASG STI Duty One 1911. Ken did an awesome job and it makes me want to do the same to mine :)
He started out by sanding off the paint with 500 grit sandpaper and working his way finer right up to 2000 grit and then finishing off with some Meguiar’s NXT Generation metal polish. The results are amazing - see for yourself!
