Here is Bonus Video Five in my series of Full Auto Fun videos I make each summer where I pick a few Full Auto Airguns and record some fun outside shooting with them. In this years Full Auto Fun Video series I do a bit of a walk around on my property and shoot a bunch of water filled pop cans. Maybe this doesn’t sound super exciting but I do use some really creative camera angles to capture it all which makes it lot more interesting to watch for sure!
In this Fifth Bonus Full Auto Fun Video I bring out a past Full Auto Fun Airgun that I just couldn’t resist takin out for some full auto fun once again. The WE AK74UN Gas Blowback Full Auto Airsoft Rifle has got to be one of the hardest blowback Airguns I have shot, I would say even a bit more blowback feel than the KWA Mini UZI! The WE AK74UN Gas Blowback Full Auto Airsoft Rifle also does a great job of keeping Airsoft BB’s on target even in full auto with all that recoil as you will see in this video as I dial it in part way through my walk about. Unfortunately we do not sell anything like this anymore at least in Airsoft, the closest thing to it is the Crosman AK1 Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle which is still a lot of fun with a bit less recoil but a higher rate of fire.
I have another Full Auto Fun Video this one focusing on 4.5mm Steel BB Versus 6mm Plastic and which one is better in terms of accuracy and shredding power. I perform this super scientific test by shooting obviously in full auto two comparable Steel BB and Plastic Airsoft Rifles at a paper target setup 20 feet away with a magazine as a backer so I can see what the accuracy is like and how much of the paper magazine gets shredded by each ammo being tested.
I have split this video into three separate videos, in video one I compare two similar AR styled rifles, a CO2 powered Blowback 4.5mm BB Rifle to a Gas Blowback 6mm Airsoft Rifle. In video two I compare two AK type Blowback Rifles to each otters, again a CO2 4.5mm Steel BB along with a Gas 6mm Airsoft.
And lastly in Video three I compare my top picks for each category which include a non-Blowback CO2 4.5mm BB Machine gun to an AEG 6mm Airsoft Rifle.
In this Field Test Shooting Video I perform two main test using the WE 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol. A chronograph test to see what the real world velocity is and then I perform an accuracy test to see how accurate the WE 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol is at 30 feet away. If you are interested more in specifications and details along with close up video of the WE 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol then check out my Table Top Video Review for it where I even do a field strip on camera.
Starting off with my chronograph velocity test. I decided to find out what the differences would be using the internal short barrel and the extended external barrel since the WE 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol does come with both to allow for higher fps and easier import into Canada. The WE 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol is rated for 360+ fps using the extended longer barrel so I started with that one first and was able to achieve a 383 fps 4 shot average. Switching to the shorter internal only barrel the velocity was reduces as expected and I got an average 3 shoot velocity of 300 fps. So it is safe to say that the barrel extension added an additional 80+ fps to the velocity!
Next I placed a fresh paper target 30 feet down range and shot 10 rounds into it using a seated shooting position with my hands resting on a sand bag up front, this allows for a fairly stable platform to shoot from but is not without some human factor. I also decided to use the barrel extension for this test as the threading on the end of the internal barrel can disrupt airflow causing turbulence a bit and effect accuracy. I was able to get around a 2.5 inch grouping with my 10 rounds. The WE 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol shot fairly well on the bullseye up and down with the out of the box hop-up setting but it did shoot just slightly to the left. Since there are no sight adjustments you will have to factor this into your aim point when shooting out at farther ranges, but at around 30 feet you should not have much problem shooting a human sized target or even a pop can.
All in all the WE 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol perfumed as expected with consistent fps and a nice 10 shot grouping on my paper target. I did find the sights a bit hard to see as my eyes are not what they use to be so black sighted pistols with whit dot sights make it a lot easier for me to line up my target. People with younger eyes will most likely not have this problem but for us a bit older guys, keep this in mind. If you’re looking for a classic 1911 A1 that performs well and looks really nice then the WE 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol may be just the perfect fit for you!
Type: GBB Airsoft Pistol. Manufacturer: WE Airsoft Model:1911 A1 Materials: Mostly all metal build. Weight: 1.7 pounds (760 grams). Barrel: 4.5 inches, non-rifled. Length: 8.5 inches. Propulsion: Green Gas / Propane Action: Semi Auto, single action only trigger. Ammunition Type: 6mm Plastic Airsoft BB's. Ammunition Capacity: 15+1 round full size dropout metal magazine. FPS: 366+ with extended barrel.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the WE 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol is about what your would expect from a 1911 type pistol which is a good thing since they are generally short and light which makes for easy fast action shooting! There is just a bit of slack in the trigger, perhaps less than a millimeter with a predictable light release. Trigger reset is almost non existent.
Accuracy: I have not yet made my Field Test Shooting Video for the WE 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol but plan to next week so stay posted for it. I will be testing out both the extended barrel and internal short barrel to see what the velocity difference will be and then when it comes to accuracy I will test out the WE 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol using the extended barrel to exclude the threading on the short barrel interfering with accuracy.
Build Quality: The WE 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol is a really gorgeous looking pistol in the stainless finish. You will find it has an overall solid build quality, it is virtually all metal with only the grips and some internal parts like the gas chamber and nozzle being plastic. There is almost zero slide wiggle and all the mechanical parts work and engage nicely. The only thing I noticed was that the ejection port near the front could have been finished a little bit better as there seemed to be some slight ridges in the metal there.
Realism: As is with most Full Blowback Airsoft Pistols they are built to look and act the part of their real steel counterparts and the WE 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol is again no exception! All mechanical parts work as intended and you can easily field strip the WE 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol to swap out the internal barrel and adjust the hop-up. I like the fact that WE Airsoft color matched the magazine rather than simply shipping it with the black magazine as I have found some other companies do.
Pros:
All metal pistol with decent weight to it.
Crisp Firm full blowback operation.
Very good fit and finish.
No marking on the metal parts at all, some may like this.
Color matched stainless magazine.
Gun will accept real 1911 grips 99% sure of this :)
All controls work just like there real steel version, safety, slide catch release, safety and grip safety.
Should have good fps with barrel extension, enough for import into Canada.
Very believable working replica of the real steel Colt 1911 A1 Pistol.
Fully field strip-able.
Comes with extension barrel and replaceable inner barrel if not going to use extension.
Cons:
No markings or licensing on the gun if that is important to you?
Perhaps a bit lighter than a real steel 1911 at 1.7 pounds.
Magazine only holds 15 rounds but the real steel 1911 only held 7 rounds.
Comments: As I have mentioned in many of my other videos, I am a huge 1911 fan and even go so far as to prefer the standard Government issue over all others as it is the most basic and closest to its original version. There are a ton of BB and Airsoft Blowback 1911’s available now so it is really hard to pick which one to get understandably. If you are a WE fan then this choice should be fairly easy, if you are not sure about WE then all I can say is this is one of the nicer 1911 A1’s and if you want a lighter weight gun over a heavier gun then that may also play a roll in your buying decision. I can’t comment just yet on performance but I will know shortly so stay posted. If it performs well then there is no reason not pick yourself up on of these WE 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistols!
My Table Top Video of the WE 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol:
I have a nice Airgun Pistol Update Unboxing video to checkout where I take a look at 5 Airguns four of which are Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistols and one is a CO2 BB Revolver. I don’t go into a lot of details here on each Airgun as this is mainly just a preview video to let everyone know we have these products in our Online Replica Airgun Stores and give a you a quick look at them. I will be following up with individual Table Top and Field Test Videos where I go into more details and also show you how each gun performs in the Replica Airguns Indoor Sea Can Shooting Range.
Back in 2017 I made “Which Beretta Airgun is the Best” Video and showed off some 4.5mm Steel BB and .177 Caliber Pellet versions of my favorite Beretta 92 - M9 style Air Pistols. There have been some changes since then most noticeably the addition to Airsoft versions so I thought I would update this video with more current Beretta Airguns along with of course some of the same ones form my last video.
Because I show off 4.5mm Steel BB, .177 Caliber Pellet and 6mm Plastic Airsoft versions I decided to pick my favorites form each category. Watch my Vimeo Review Comparison Video so checkout these Air Pistols and see which ones are my favorites…
.177 Caliber Pellet Beretta 92 -M9 CO2 Air Pistols
Type: GBB Airsoft Pistol. Manufacturer: WE Airsoft Model:1039 M2 Materials: Mostly all metal build. Weight: 2.43 pounds (1100 grams). Barrel: 4.53 inches, non-rifled. Length: 8.5 inches. Propulsion: Green Gas Action: Semi & full Auto, single and double action trigger. Ammunition Type: 6mm Plastic Airsoft BB's. Ammunition Capacity: 26 round full size dropout metal magazine. FPS: 366+.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the WE M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is good in both single and double action. Double action as expected has the longer heavier pull but is still smooth and fairly light with a predictable release. Single action shooting has a much shorter trigger pull with a bit of take-up and an even lighter release than in double action shooting mode.
Accuracy: This is one of those times I actually performed my Field Test Portion of my Review first so I do have some feedback in terms of the accuracy and velocity for the WE M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol. WE claims an fps of around 366+ using the extended barrel that comes with it so this is how I tested it. I did use .26 gram airsoft BB’s so the fps was a bit lower but I did get close to 320 fps, So you should expect around a 20% increase in FPS using .20 gram Airsoft BB’s, so closer to 360-380 fps. In terms of accuracy I did notice that the WE M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol shot rather low for me, as much as 8 inches at 30 feet out, perhaps adjustment get hop-up will fix that, at longer ranges it should… That said I found I was able to get around a 1-5.2 inch 10 round grouping at 30 feet out. In terms of full auto, all I can say is don’t expect to hit very much you point at as the gun really likes to rock around!
Build Quality: The WE M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is a really gorgeous looking pistol and has one of my favorite looking finishes in that stainless steel look. You will find it has an overall solid build quality, it is virtually all metal with only the grips and some internal parts like the gas chamber and nozzle being plastic. There is almost zero slide wiggle and all in all this Airsoft pistol performed great for me with no mechanical problems.
Realism: As is with most Full Blowback Airsoft Pistols they are built to look and act the part of their real steel counterparts and the WE M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is no exception! All mechanical parts work as intended and you can easily field strip the WE M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol to swap out the internal barrel and adjust the hop-up. I like the fact that WE Airsoft color matched the magazine rather than simply shipping it with the black magazine as I have found some other companies do.
Pros:
All metal pistol with good weight to it.
Crisp firm full blowback operation.
Excellent fit and finish.
No markings on the metal parts at all, just the WE branding on the grips.
Color matching magazine.
Gun will accept real Beretta M9 grips.
Semi and full auto selector safety switch.
White dot sights front and back.
Good fps, right around the claimed 366 using .20 gram Airsoft BB’s.
Very believable working replica of the real steel Beretta M9 Pistol.
Fully field strip-able.
Comes with extension barrel and replaceable inner barrel if not going to use extension.
Cons:
No marking on the gun if that is important to you?
Shot rather low in my testing but hop-up and barrel change may fix it.
Almost unusable in Full Auto mode.
The WE M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is one of the nicer looking Airsoft Beretta M9 pistols on the market and is comparable in quality to other higher end brands like KWA and KJWorks. The price point is also in line with what you are getting. I really like the Stainless - Silver - Chrome finish or what ever you want to call it… One thing I was not able to determine 100% is if this version is in fact the Gen 2 version but I do believe it is given that it has the black gas tube in it. We just don’t have it advertised as such. If you’re in the market for a Beretta style M9 Pistol then consider the WE M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol as a solid choice.
I haven’t reviewed many WE products over the years as they where not part of our inventory in the Replica Airguns Store. The good news is we do carry a selection of their pistols in our Canada Store including the WE 1039 M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol I review in this video along with some 1911’s. In this Field Test Shooting Video I test out the WE 1039 M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol in the Replica Airguns Sea Can Indoor Shooting Range to find out what the real world velocity and accuracy is.
Starting with the velocity portion of the test I place 6 rounds through my Chronograph using .25 gram Airsoft BB’s and I averaged 317 fps which is about right considering the claimed fps is 366+ using .20 gram Airsoft BB’s. The temperature was also not overly hot or cold in the Sea Can so in warner shooting conditions the fps will up a bit too.
Next I performed my accuracy test where i generally shoot 10 rounds on a paper target for 30 feet back ling a rested shooting position, sand bag up front and sensated in the back. I found the WE 1039 M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol was shooting a good 6-8 inches low at this range with the default hop-up setup so I had to aim near the top of my target to place rounds closer to the bullseye for the sake of the video. I would say the WE 1039 M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is capable of 1-2 inch 10 rod groupings, my test was closer to 2 inches but I can see potential for sub 2 inch groups. A quick hop-up adjustment should bring the aim point closer to where the rounds are actually hitting. I did perform a full auto mag dump and the WE 1039 M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol was able to get through all 26 rounds with a full mag of gas but as expected accuracy was not very goo dat all as the heavy blowback action really throws this gun around.
All in all the WE 1039 M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is a really nice Airsoft pistol that performs fairly well and in a game situation would get the job done nicely. It’s also a real looker with it’s stainless looking finish. Keep posted for my Table Top Video I will be making shortly for the WE 1039 M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol.
I originally made this Field Test Review Video a few months ago but had to pull it down because it featured two WE Products. The WE AK74-UN and the WE G18C which unfortunately looks a bit like a Glock. If you are not familiar with the video I made on the Glock Trademark Infringement Cease Order I received then you should probably watch that video, it will fill in some of the gaps on why I had to cut out the WE G18C portions from this video and repost it with only the parts that showcase the WE AK74-UN.
Anyways you can still read my Original Field Test Review post minus the video and photos of the WE G18C.
All references, photos and video claiming that any item in this review/video looks like a Glock or is a Replica of a Glock in any way shape or form have been removed from this post as requested by Glock "Renzulli Law Firm"
I almost forgot to do my field test review for my WE AK-74UN & WE G18C Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol and Rifle! I decided to do them both together on this one but I still did my usual full testing for both guns which consisted of my Chronograph, Target and Can destruction along with some high speed slow motion of the blowback action of both guns in full auto mode.

Your best bet is to watch my Youtube video and see how both of these WE Airsoft guns perform. Overall they are both rally nice and super realistic, the WE G18C Tactical is definitely the full auto monster here while the AK-74UN is the bull in the China store with its crazy heavy blowback action, it has so much recoil that when shooting in full auto it kind of runs our of steam near the end, not so with the WE G18C as it did not slow down even with the 50 round magazine loaded up!
The WE AK-74UN even with it's crazy recoil holds on target very well in semi and full auto and of course has the superior fps performance. I found when shooting the G18C in full auto, I needed to hold my aim-point low as the blowback and super fast cycle rate wanted to pull the gun up and over my target, same would be true with a real gun so no surprise here.
Photo of WE G18C Removed by Request from Glock "Renzulli Law Firm"
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the WE AK74UN GBB Airsoft Rifle is very light (maybe even under 1 pound) since the blowback action has already pre-cocking the action making this rifle single action only. The take-up is very short, about one eighth of an inch or even less! The magazine has two switches, the one on the top allows you to dry fire while the one on the backside resets the trigger block. You will need to push the side switch down after reloading your magazine to allow the trigger/hammer to function again.
Accuracy: Out of the box the WE AK74UN Airsoft Rifle shot on the high side for me, about 8 inches at 30 feet, you can adjust the front sight post to some degree for elevation but I was not able to find any way of adjusting the windage? I did my pretest shooting from the 30 foot mark and I found the WE AK74UN Gas Blowback Airsoft Rifle AK74 Replica shot a very respectable 5 shot 1.5 inch group in semi auto which opened up of course when I shot the rest of the rounds in full auto. The full auto group stayed pretty tight considering all the recoil that was going on. I would say this gun should be able to shoot fairly accurately at distances even greater than 50 feet and even in full auto.
Build Quality: The WE AK74UN Airsoft Rifle is very well made with a lot of actual stamped steel parts, the only metal (zinc alloy) would be the trigger group, bolt, and part of the front sight, the pistol grip and front stock are made out of a matt finished hard plastic. Fit and finish is near perfect and I had no problems with the functionality of this Airsoft replica in any way. There are third party steel replacement parts for the trigger group and bolt if you want to swap these out at some point.
Realism: Everything about this gun is realistic! Operation, field stripping, tones of steel and metal parts, the long travel bolt, the slower cycle rate, and the heavy recoil all make the WE AK74UN GBB Airsoft Rifle as near perfect a working replica that you can find. Sure WE modernized this AK74 variant a bit with the addition of some enhancements but they do work well and make this Airsoft rifle very usable.
Long travel bolt with heavy blowback, lower cycle rate like a real AK!
Lots of steel and metal in this gun, very hefty and solid.
Awesome blowback kick really hits you in the shoulder.
Semi auto & full auto selectable.
Field strips just like the real AK.
Nice high 400+ FPS and good 1.5 inch 5 shot group from 30 feet away.
Decent use of Gas.
Modified improved selector/safety switch can be used with trigger finger and also can be used to lock the bolt back for easy hop-up adjustments.
Magwell guide helps with insertion of the magazine.
Cons:
Long travel bolt kicks so hard that it can wear the softer Zinc Alloy internal parts quickly like the bolt and trigger grouping.
Sights are not really very adjustable, at least for windage.
Comments:
I really love my WE AK74UN Gas Blowback Airsoft Rifle, it is truly one of the most realistic replica guns I own, not just in looks but in how it functions and shoots. The heavy use of stamped steel, lots of metal throughout, full travel bolt with heavy blowback and realistic AK cycle rate make this one of the most fun guns to shoot that I own. If you're looking for a Gas Blowback AK styled Airsoft rifle this one is one of the best out there!

All references, photos and video claiming that any item in this review/video looks like a Glock or is a Replica of a Glock in any way shape or form have been removed from this post as requested by Glock"Renzulli Law Firm"
Type: Airsoft GBB Pistol. Manufacturer:WE. Model:G18C. Materials: Metal & plastic. Weight: 1.7 pounds (776 Grams). Barrel: 4.5 inches, smooth bore. Propulsion: (GBB) Gas Blowback. Action: Semi & full auto. Ammunition Type: Airsoft 6mm Plastic BB's. Ammunition Capacity: 25 rounds. FPS: Up-to 380 with longer barrel attached. Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the WE G18C is very nice and light since the blowback action does most of the work pre-cocking the action. There is a built in and working trigger safety like you would find on a real steel NAME REMOVED with about a quarter inch of take-up leading to a very light and crisp release.
Photo of WE G18C Removed by Request from Glock "Renzulli Law Firm"
Accuracy: Out of the Box the WE G18C shot great rather well for me when I did my pretest from the 20 foot mark, I found the WE G18C was dialed in pretty decent and shot very close to the bulls eye, maybe a hair to the left which is good since the sights are non adjustable. I shot a very respectable 5 shot 1.5 inch group in semi auto which opened up a great deal when I shot the remaining 15 rounds but at least they all seemed to stay pretty much on the paper which is not bad considering how much this gun jumps around in full auto.
Photo of WE G18C Removed by Request from Glock "Renzulli Law Firm"
Build Quality: The WE G18C Airsoft seems to be well made, and you will find lots of metal parts where they need to be, again similar as what you would find in a real NAME REMOVED. Fit and finish is nice but I did have an issue with the gas tube when I first got mine, it broke rendering the gun inoperable, a quick swap out with a new gas tube and all is well and so far after a number of magazine worth of shots the WE G18C is still working well and the new gas tube is holding up.
Photo of WE G18C Removed by Request from Glock "Renzulli Law Firm"
Realism: WE has taken some liberty with the markings on their WE G 18C copy, they are similar to what you would find on a real NAME REMOVED but not actually the same, as longs as you don't look too closely you will most likely be fooled into believing it's a licensed NAME REMOVED! As for how the WE G18C is built and how it operates, you will find it's a dead ringer to a real steel NAME RMOVED and even breaks down exactly the same. Reviewed by:Replica Airguns.

Pros:
It's a NAME REMOVED Replica!
Lots of metal in this gun similar to a real NAME REMOVED.
Kind of licensed similar to a NAME REMOVED.
Semi auto & full auto selectable :)
Very solid blowback kick.
Field strips just like a NAME REMOVED.
Very good accuracy and power even with the shorter barrel installed
Comes with two barrels, one for use with the suppressor to increase fps for Canadian import.
Photo of WE G18C Removed by Request from Glock "Renzulli Law Firm"
Cons:
No real sight adjustments.
Had a problem with the Gas Tube cracking almost right out of the box.
Photo of WE G18C Removed by Request from Glock "Renzulli Law Firm"
Comments: I have heard many people say they love WE products and then there are some that claim they are not all that well made! Other than my issue with the cracked gas tube, my WE G18C is holding up well and is working nicely, I think some earlier WE products lacked some refinement which may have led to problems but from what I have heard as of late, WE has stepped things up and is making a better product these days. My WE AK74UN is a testament to this as it is built like a tank and has tons of real stamped steel all throughout. Getting back to the WE G18C Airsoft GBB, it's really fun to shoot with it's amazing blowback and for a GBB pistol it shoots pretty hard and finds the target with easy.

My YouTube Video of the WE G18C Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistol:
I have a couple of guns I wanted to share with you all and no we do not sell them at this point in time and I can not say if we will or not down the road.
There is just no way we can carry every brand of gun and every gun from every brand, that said I still sometimes have my eye on a gun and will pick it up even if I have to pay full retail juts so I can add it to my collection and also do a review for all of you.
Photo of WE G18C Removed by Request from Glock "Renzulli Law Firm"
Today I showcase two Gas Blowback Airsoft guns from WE. I have been wanting to get an AK variant of some sort since there was a big whole in my collection after the RCMP came into my house and took my scary AK BB gun away. And if for some reason you feel this "again" legally imported through the CBSA non convertible airgun is in some way a concern, please feel free to come on over and have a good look, no SWAT team necessary this time. I am just around the corner from the police station and I make a good cup of coffee!
Getting back to this update, the other WE Airsoft gun is the WE G18C which like the WE AK74UN, also has semi and full auto select-ability. Both guns have excellent blowback kick with the AK74UN having a full travel blot which kicks like a mule and has a slower full auto cycle rate much like a real AK47.
Both guns have metal parts where you would find them on the real steel versions while the AK even goes so far to have actual stamped steel all over just like you would find on an AK.

I will be doing full reviews for both these WE GBB Airsoft guns so stay posted for those video reviews, in the meantime you can watch my Update Video showcasing both these WE Airsoft guns.
Here is my official Field Test Shooting Video Review for my KWC Sigma SW40F CO2 Blowback BB Pistol. Make sure to checkout my previous Table Top Review for more details on the KWC SW40F 4.5mm BB version where I also did a pre-test showing some similar results.
My 5 shot Chronograph test resulted in a somewhat expected 285 average fps while my accuracy test shot from 20 feet out in a semi rested position received a slightly wider 3 inch group this time but with most shots being within 1 inch of each other. In terms of shot placement the KWC SW40F 4.5mm BB Pistol shot very well centered but just slightly low. I also only got 2 full magazines this time around so don't expect a lot of shots per CO2 with this 4.5mm BB pistol.
Overall, the KWC SW40F 4.5mm BB Pistol is a really fun gun to shoot with a very crisp heavy slide that gives a nice firm blowback snap to it. It is one of the nicer sounding slides with a less tinny sound than most. The fps and shots per CO2 is a bit low but other than that performance is very good, you will have no problem nocking down cans and acquiring other miscellaneous targets.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the KWC Sigma SW40F CO2 Blowback BB Pistol is single action only which generally produces a very light trigger, on the SW40F it is a bit firmer than most single actions but still decent with a short take-up and firm release. You will need to pull the slide back (which also chambers your first round) to cock the internal hammer, after which subsequent shots you will not have to pull the slide back as the blowback action does this for you.
Accuracy: When I shot the KWC Sigma SW40F from 20 feet out in semi rested position I was able to get nice clean results. I placed 10 rounds within about 2 inches with the shot placement being very well centered. The KWC S&W Sigma SW40F seemed to keep the rounds tighter from top to bottom over side to side for me. I also noticed when I field stripped this gun that there is a built in hop-up (rubber bar) that sits inside the barrel, this will produce some back spin which will keep the BB's trajectory a bit flatter when shooting further out and is also probably there to stop BB's from rolling out of the barrel once chambered.
Build Quality: The build quality is about the same as all other KWC guns, tolerances seem tight and everything is working as it should, you will get some wear marks (paint wear) on the high spots over time which is normal on just about any (type of gun, real or air) but what I like about the SW40F is that the barrel is polished and since this is the first area to lose paint, it really does not matter since no paint is on the barrel.
Realism: The KWC Sigma SW40F CO2 Blowback BB Pistol is a replica of the real steel S&W Sigma with the exception of the licensing and it really is a bang on Replica, you can field strip this gun exactly like a real Smith & Wesson Sigma. All the mechanical parts work just the same and I like the fact that without the licensing, this gun is very clean looking with no obtrusive warning instructions on it.
Lots of metal in this gun with very good weight to it.
Very accurate S&W Sigma replica.
Heavy crisp blowback feel.
Predictable single action trigger.
Shots where well centered, got good accuracy.
White dot sights for quick target acquisition.
No ugly warning markings.
Full size drop out magazine holds BB's and CO2.
Like the polished barrel and ejection port.
Fully field strip-able.
Cons:
I only got two magazines in my pre-test for some reason?
FPS is not super high?
A bit finicky when loading BB's
Comments:
Just like my Airsoft review of the KWC Sigma SW40F, this blowback Air Pistol was a lot of fun to shoot, with it's super snappy heavy slide and ultra realistic shooting characteristics. It did seem to go through a lot of CO2 very quickly which is not uncommon for this style of full blowback heavy slided airgun, and to be honest I don't really mind since it shot well, felt good in the hand and backs it up with great looks. And heck it's still so much cheaper to shoot than a real 9mm hand gun ;) For those of you looking for something that is similar to a Glock in terms of looks and operation, the KWC Sigma BB or Airsoft pistol may be your only real option here in North America now that the Umarex SA177 is history.
My Vimeo Table Top Review of the KWC Sigma SW40F Blowback CO2 BB Pistol:
Here's a heads up on some new items we will be adding to the Canada Replica Airguns Store very soon so keep checking back if you're interested in them!
Your best bet is to Watch My Vimeo Video as I go over them all and show you around the new products, but for now here is some basic info on each item:
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the WE G39C is about what you would expect from a Single action only Semi Auto rifle, it has a very slight take up and then about a 4 pound trigger pull that is crisp and smooth.
Accuracy: Out of the Box the WE G39C shot great up close and farther out, the hop-up seemed to be already dialed in, and even though I was using only .20 gram BB's which is a bit light for this gun, I still found they tracked well and stayed on target both near and far. My 30 foot semi rested testing produced a nice 2 inch grouping. Shooting the barrel out on the tactical range I did have to aim just a bit higher when back out at 60 or more feet away. Maybe a slight bit more hop-up would do the trick.
Build Quality: The WE G39C is very well made, yes it has lots of polymer but so does the real version and the plastic seems very durable, The fit and finish looked great and there is a lot of metal in and around the G39C where it would be on the real steel gun and where it is really required to be. Like the trigger, flash hider, rails, pins, switches, rear sight, magazine and most internal parts also.
Realism: I bet if you had the real G36C sitting beside the WE G39C you would be hard pressed to tell them apart? WE did a great job making this Airsoft version very believable not just in appearance but also when field stripping it and shooting it with it's heavy bolt and felt blowback recoil.
Amazing attention to detail, just like the real H&K G36C.
All metal internals and metal external mechanical parts.
Semi auto & full auto selectable.
Awesome blowback kick really hits you in the shoulder.
Field strips just like the real steal version.
Nice high 400 FPS and good accuracy near and far.
Full ambidextrous, even the charging handle can be switched side to side.
Can get up to three magazines per propane fill up.
Very well priced for how awesome it really is.
Cons:
Some people may not like that it is a polymer built gun externally but it is what it is!
And that's it!
Comments:
So far I have been impressed with We an Airsoft company, they really know how to make very realistic and high quality products. I wasn't sure if I was going to like the mostly polymer external build on this gun but the sheer quality and solid build took away any ideas that tis Airsoft gun would be anything like a toy. The WE G39C is one of the best performing GBB Airsoft guns I have tried out getting up to 90 shots per gas fill on a magazine which is very impressive. We was also able to keep the price down which means more people can get into one of the G39C's. If you've been thinking about adding one of these to your arsenal I don't see any reason why not to!
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull for both KWC blowback single action pistols is very good, the Desert Eagle is a bit better with less play and a lighter pull while the Sigma SW40F still feels very good but has a little bit more take up and a slight bit more pull required.
Accuracy: I shot both guns from 20 feet out in semi rested position and got similar results. I was able to place 10 rounds in a 2.5 to 3 inch group and both guns shot well centered. I have full confidence that I could easily hit a man sized target from 50 feet away. Both KWC Airsoft pistols got right around 400 fps (5 shot average chrony testing) with the Desert Eagle only 10 fps higher than the Sigma SW40F and this was using .20 gram plastic Airsoft BB's.
Build Quality: The build quality for both guns is pretty much the same, both have a metal slide and barrel with a polymer frame and plastic grips, the Sigma SW40F had a plastic magazine release and trigger while the Desert Eagle used metal in these parts. The KWC Sigma SW40F seemed to wear a bit better as the painted finish seemed more durable. I found the metal on metal areas on the Desert Eagle where losing the paint and also in some of the high spots. Over all the guns worked very well and had good fit and finish.
Realism: The KWC Desert Eagle .50 and Sigma SW40F are very accurate replicas of their real steel counterparts, with the Desert Eagle also having the full licensing on it for added authenticity. The workings of both Airsoft guns are pretty much just like a real gun with full size drop out magazines and very heavy full blowback operation. The slides on each gun give a nice metallic sound when operating.
Very believable replicas of the real steel versions.
Cons:
Paint wear in high spots noticeable on the Desert Eagle.
Non adjustable sights.
Both go through CO2 fast.
No trademarks on the Sigma SW40F.
Comments:
It's wonderful to get these KWC blowback Airsoft guns here in Canada finally and have the ability to review them for everyone. They remind me a lot of the Cybergun 4.5mm Steel BB blowback pistols very much and this is probably because there are Airsoft version of these guns also distributed by KWC. Whether you want one of these very nice Airsoft pistols for plinking and target practice or to use in battle on the Airsoft field, either gun would make a great choice. I am really loving the fact that I now have more guns I can review and Airsoft or 4.5mm Steel BB it really doesn't matter to me, I'm having way to much fun to care ;)
Last update for the day, I am happy to announce that I have added two Gas Blowback Airsoft Rifles from WE to the Canada Replica Airguns Store. They are both fantastic guns that are the spitting image of their real steel counterparts and both have awesome blowback action and feel. Both rifles shoot in semi and full auto which is exhilarating!
