The Webley Alecto (AKA: Zoraki HP-01) may not fit in exactly as a "Replica" Airgun, although it does resemble a bloated Dessert Eagle! But it is an Airgun worthy of spending some time reviewing an this is now my third Vimeo Video review for the Webley Alecto. My first Video Review was a Table Top Review where I covered most of the Webley's basic operation. My second Vimeo Video was a Chronograph Test to see what my Webley Alecto could do performance wise for FPS.

I really wanted to do a video of this gun just shooting because that's what it does best, put lead down range very accurately! So I setup three cameras to capture it all from just about every angle I could think of and I set up 30 feet away from my target and shot 5 rounds in a rested position using a Red Dot Scope. The results where not surprising - pretty close to a 1/2 inch grouping!
If you're looking for a compact, hard hitting, accurate target or small pest control Air gun then look no further, the Webley Alecto has the goods!

Type: BB air pistol.
Manufacturer: Umarex.
Model: CP99 Compact Recon Version.
Materials: Metal slide, polymer frame.
Weight: 1.8 pounds.
Barrel: 5 inches, non-rifled.
Propulsion: CO2 x 1.
Action: Semi auto, blowback, single action only.
Ammunition Type: Steel BBs 4.5mm.
Ammunition Capacity: 18 rounds.
FPS: Up to 400.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex CP99 Compact Recon is amazing, it is short and light making it one of the best action shooters I own. You can fire this gun accurately and fast all day long.
Accuracy: Great! The addition of the Green Dot Scope and slightly longer barrel on the CP99 Compact Recon version work amazingly well, this is one of the most consistent BB shooter I own getting under 2 inch groups at will from 20 feet out.
Build Quality: Excellent, this BB gun is made in Japan and uses metal where it is really needed like in the slide, slide release, safety, trigger, magazine release, magazine and most of the mechanical parts. It's well made, well finished and feels great in the hand.
Realism: This Replica BB gun has many of the same characteristics of the actual 9mm P99 Compact with the exception of having a longer handle and much different safety mechanism. Umarex has even changed the design a bit with the newer CP99 Compacts and made the ejection port cut out adding to the realism of this BB shooter.
Available at: the Replica Airguns Store.
Pros:
Decent reproduction of the original Walther P99 Compact 9mm.
Would make an excellent training gun as it has a similar size, weight, and feel to the actual Walther P99 Compact 9mm handgun.
Blowback action is very firm adding to the realism of shooting this weapon.
Really good FPS, accuracy and CO2 efficiency for a blowback BB air gun.
The Recon version has a longer barrel adding a few more FPS to this already great air pistol.
Amazing light and fast trigger pull making it a blast to shoot.
Addition of the Sight Rail, Compensator and Green Dot scope really add to the esthetics and performance of this BB pistol.
Cons:
The Sight Rail, Compensator and most of the Green Dot scope are plastic but this does not seem to effect the performance in any way.
Safety lever seems out of place and takes away from the realism of this replica.
Switch on the Green Dot Scope is silver making it stand out from the rest of the all black air gun.
Comments:
I already loved the CP99 Compact non-Recon version so I had very high expectations for this BB gun to be at least as good if not better and I was not disappointed! I was actual surprised at the improvements that the longer barrel and Green Dot Scope made not only in a much higher Feet Per Second rating (about 75 fps), but also the much improved accuracy in what was already a decent shooter. For the additional $40, you get the Sight Rail which allows you to add multiple accessories if required. You get the Green Dot Scope that noticeably improved the accuracy, and you also get the compensator which hides the extra long barrel for more FPS.
I already had an all Black Zoraki M906, but I didn't have the Sliver slide version and that was just no good because the two-tone finish just looks great on this blank shooter. It's pretty much the same gun as my all black Zoraki M906 but with a Shiny Chrome Slide and Barrel. I also noticed that the hammer is just a tad bit different but both work just as well!
Here are some more photos for your viewing and drooling pleasure...
I wanted to let you know we have a couple new Zoraki 914 color finishes to choose from, Shiny Chrome and Titanium. We have limited quantities so get them while we still have them. And that goes for all of our Zoraki line as I can not ensure we will be carrying it for much longer - it has nothing to do with quality as the Zoraki line of blank guns is one of the best! SORRY - ALL GONE!
I am really focused on adding more products all the time to the Replica Airguns Store and one product that was completely missing was rifle scopes.
I just listed 4 new scopes from NcSTAR:

I already have a customized full auto Drozd Blackbird who can pass up another Dorzd when the price is right! I will be making a double Drozd video down the road :)
My new Classic Drozd came with the Full Auto mod chip, the JimC hand made barrel, a 68ci Nitro Duck 4500 PSI carbon fiber tank and bulk air hose.
I also got the Red Dot scope with my new purchase but used one of my rial risers that fit perfectly giving my new Drozd an AR look to it.
I purchased a bunch of "near new" air guns from a friend of mine last week who was't using them anymore and thought I could put them to better use. I was happy to oblige!
I already have the Crosman Quest 800 Break Barrel .22 caliber rifle for my pest control but you can always use one with more power! The break barrel Benjamin Sheridan Super Streak in .22 caliber is rated at up to 1000 fps and it is a real beast of an air gun to say the least. It came with a nice 4-16-40mm scope and I added an NCStar bi-pod to it to help distribute some of the weight.
I sighted it in at about 50 feet and was able to get about a nice 1 inch grouping with it from a rested position. I am looking forward to using this gun when my fruit trees start producing.
Another very popular EKOL Blank gun just made it into the Replica Airgun Store, and this one has selectable Full Auto! The EKOL Jackal Dual looks like the EKOL Firat and both of them look like the popular Beretta 92FS semi auto pistol.
Many of you have asked if we would be making the EKOL Dicle available for purchase in the Replica Airguns Store and now I am happy to say we do have it in both Gloss Black and Satin finish.
The EKOL Dicle is a beefy 9mm P.A.K. blank shooter with a heavy slide that closely resembles the Beretta Cougar semi auto pistol.
When I got my EKOl Firat a while back with a bunch of other fine EKOL products, I decided to not do a full review on it as it is essentially the same gun as my EKOL Jackal. Well, the people have spoken and I have given into the pressure and made a short comparison video on the differences between the EKOL Jackal and the EKOL Firat.
The Blank EKOL guns in this video are represented in both the Magnum (EKOL Jackal) and Compact (EKOL Firat) sizes which will also help you get an idea of the size difference when ordering as both guns can be purchased in Magnum and Compact versions.
Here are the main differences:
The EKOL Jackal can shoot in both semi auto and full auto while the EKOL Firat is semi auto only.
The EKOL Jackal's rear safety is non-functioning for all intents and purposes as the semi-full auto selector switch is also used as a safety switch. The EKOL Firat uses the rear safety as its safety and it is fully functional.
The EKOL Firat can be shot in single action or double action mode while the EKOL Jackal is a single action only gun meaning you have to either cock the hammer or rack the slide to shoot the first round in this gun. (Once the first shot is fired the blowback of the slide will automatically re-cock the action for you)
The EKOL Firat is about $60 less expensive as it does not have the full auto feature.
Enjoy my Vimeo video of the EKOL Jackal and Firat comparison:

Here is a fairly short YouTube video of my EKOl Aras 9mm P.A.K. Blank gun (Browning Hi-Power Replica) shooting 5 blank rounds in semi auto. I use my HD camera and high speed camera to capture the event in regular speed and slow motion. The EKOL Aras fired all 5 rounds without any failures to chamber, fire or eject.
We just got in some Wood Grips for your Zoraki 914. Well technically they are plastic but they look like wood! We have limited supplies of these real imitation wood grain grips and once they are gone they may be gone for ever - or at least till we get some more. That is if we can get some more, it's really hard to say?
I don't post a lot of other people's video here on the site but from time to time when I see a really good one, I'll feature it. This video is from a YouTuber named NicFitNation. What I like about this video most of all is the way VST sums up the reasons for getting a blank gun to begin with. I know most of you already understand the reasoning behind owning a blank gun, but for some reason I seem to answer this question a lot on my YouTube channel.
Make sure to watch the video right to the end as there is a nice demo of the Zoraki 914 shooting in full auto!
We get requests for accessories all the time and one of the more popular requests is for Red Dot Scopes! I will be expanding the Replica Airguns Store more frequently now and posting new arrivals as we add them to the Replica Airguns Store.
So to kick things off we have the BSA Multi-Purpose RD30 Red Dot Scope:
The BSA Multi-Purpose Sighting Systems are a wonderful light weight sight for close quarter and medium range targets. Light enough for small calibers plicking on the range, yet durable enough for larger calibers used by hunters and law enforcement departments. A great addition to your pistol or rifle!

EKOL - ARDA - TUNA - MAJOR - SPECIAL 99 - ASI - BLANK GUN SHOOTING REVIEW
Type: Blank Pistol.
Manufacturer:EKOL - VOLTRAN.
Model: Major.
Materials: Mostly Metal.
Weight: 1.25 pounds.
Barrel: Semi plugged - front firing.
Propulsion: Gun powder.
Action: Semi auto single action.
Ammunition Type: 9mm P.A.K. blanks.
Ammunition Capacity: 7+1 rounds.
FPS: N/A.
Trigger Pull: The EKOL Major is single action only, the trigger pull is relatively light as would be expected.
Accuracy: N/A.
Build Quality: The build quality is similar to that of my Zoraki blank guns. The EKOL Major is well built and uses good quality materials, this gun is almost all metal. The finish quality is typical of other Turkish guns - good but not perfect, the satin finish on the Major looks really good giving the gun a nice two-tone look. I can't say I like the grips all that much as they are a bit shinny, but they do the job and don't to be brittle or anything. The gun seems solid and the fit and finish are also respectable.
Realism: The EKOL Major is a copy of the Walther PPK pistol most notoriously used by Agent 007 in many of the early James Bond movies. It is a fairly accurate PPK copy other than the magazine release which on the EKOL Major is located on the bottom of the handle just behind the magazine, whereas on the real Walther PPK it is located on the left side of the frame just behind the trigger.
Purchased From: the Replica Airguns Store
Pros:
In Canada you can only get this gun in a blank version unless you have a prohibited gun license.
If you're a James Bond fan, would make a great addition to your 007 collection.
Performed well - no loading, ejecting or misfires.
Even though it's small it still can take 7+1 rounds of 9mm P.A.K. ammo.
One of the lower priced blank guns.
Nice Satin two-tone finish.

Cons:
Magazine ejector is on the bottom and not the side like a real PPK, but it's still effective.
No slide release but this is true to the original design.
I wouldn't of minded the grips to be more of a matte finished, not a big fan of shinny grips
Comments:
The EKOL Major is a nice overall 9mm P.A.K. blank shooter, it has a very simple design and the classic semi auto compact pistol look. It is one of the easier guns to filed strip making it easy to clean if you plan on using it regularly. If your a James Bond fan and want the Agent 007 sidearm without the hassle of actually purchasing a real Walther PPK then the EKOL Major might just be right for you.

EKOL - ARDA - TUNA - MAJOR - SPECIAL 99 - ASI - BLANK GUN SHOOTING REVIEW
Type: Blank Pocket Revolver.
Manufacturer:EKOL - VOLTRAN.
Model: Arda.
Materials: Mostly Metal.
Weight: .55 pounds.
Barrel: Semi plugged - front firing.
Propulsion: Gun powder.
Action: Semi auto single action.
Ammunition Type: 8mm P.A.K. blanks.
Ammunition Capacity: 5 rounds.
FPS: N/A.
Trigger Pull: As the Arda is single action only, the trigger pull requires pre-cocking of the hammer before each shot, just like the old west six shooters.
Accuracy: N/A.
Build Quality: The build quality is similar to that of my Zoraki blank guns. The EKOL Arda pocket revolver is well built and uses good quality materials, this gun is almost all metal. The finish quality is typical of other Turkish guns - good but not perfect, the gloss black finish on the Arda looks really good and seems to have filled in most of the imperfections. You will get some powder burns in areas that the gasses escape such as between the cylinder and the beginning of the barrel.
Realism: The EKOL Arda is fairly unique, I don't know of an actual gun that it resembles? It's kind of a cross between a Derringer and a tinny snub nosed revolver.
Purchased From: the Replica Airguns Store
Pros:
In Canada these guns are some of the few blank guns available for purchase that are not prohibited.
Would make a good training gun animals (retrievers - guard dogs - police dogs) or a compact starter pistol.
Revolvers are always dependable, no loading or ejecting problems like you can have with some semi-autos.
Extremely compact blank shooter.
Nice gloss black finish.
Cons:
8mm P.A.K. Blank ammo is expensive.
Only holds 5 rounds
Single action only with pre-cocking required.
The powder from shooting will wear the finish a bit between the barrel and the cylinder.
Comments:
The EKOL Arda blank pocket revolver is a nice addition to our growing number of legal blank guns in Canada. The Arda is a very interesting looking blank pistol and it may not appeal to everyone? I found it so unique looking that I just had to have it as it's just nothing like any other blank gun I own. If you want an ultra compact pistol with revolver reliability then pick yourself up an EKOL Arda and get a small gun with a big bang!

I wanted to bring a few more EKOL guns to the Replica Airguns Store. I have done reviews on guns like the Jackal Dual, the Volga and the Dicle but to date I have not had them available for purchase. I'm happy to say I will have them starting April 1st along with my latest blank shooter from EKOL, the EKOL Aras in both the Magnum and Compact versions.
Since I didn't have the EKOL Aras, I wanted to have one in my hands before offering it on the Replica Airguns Store. I have to say it is very nice. I ordered mine in the Compact Gloss Black version and it looks even nicer then I was expecting. I was actually expecting the non-wrap-around grips as most of the pictures online show the gun that way. Another nice touch was the chrome barrel and ejection port opening. Needless to say I am very happy with my EKOL Aras and will be doing a shooting and table top review as always for it.

We still have lots other great EKOL Blank Guns in our Replica Airguns Store so make sure to check them all out! And there is always hope for the future...

Action: Semi auto single action.
Ammunition Type: 8mm P.A.K. blanks.
Ammunition Capacity: 6 round magazine.

Accuracy: N/A.
Build Quality: The build quality is similar to that of my Zoraki blank guns. The EKOL Tuna is well built and uses good quality materials, this gun is almost all metal. The finish quality is typical of other Turkish guns - good but not perfect, the gloss black finish on the Tuna looks really good and seems to have filled in most of the imperfections.
Realism: The Tuna is very similar in design and appearance to the Tanfoglio GT27, a small .25 Automatic sub compact pistols.
Purchased From: the Replica Airguns Store
Pros:
In Canada these guns are some of the few blank guns available for purchase that are not prohibited.
Very good construction, lots of metal parts and good weight to this blank gun even for its small size.
Inexpensive blank gun to purchase.
Nice extremely compact blank shooter.
Worked very well, no jams, misfires or failure to eject or load in my testing.
Great training gun, as it operates exactly like a real gun without the deadly force.
Cons:
8mm P.A.K. Blank ammo is expensive.
Mine was a bit hard to field strip at first - when removing the slide.
Comments:
The EKOL Tuna blank gun is a nice addition to our growing number of legal blank guns in Canada. EKOL offers a nice variety of models and finishes to choose from. The EKOL Tuna and Volga are very similar with the Tuna being just a bit smaller, chambered for 8mm and the Tuna has a slightly higher capacity magazine. Out of the two, I would recommend the Tuna unless you want to stick with 9mm P.A.K. ammo only.
