Before I get into this Field Test Video Review for the Umarex Beretta Mod. 92 FS Spring Clear Airsoft Pistol, make sure to watch my Table Top Video for it if you want information like Specifications and Details along with some more closer up video of it. The Umarex Beretta Mod. 92 FS Spring Clear Airsoft Pistol for some people will be a pretty entry level BB Pistol many might overlook but if you are simply looking for a Beretta 92 based Airsoft Pistol that is relatively inexpensive to buy and cheap to shoot. And if you don’t need quick semi auto shooting or anything ultra realistic, then the this Spring Airsoft Pistol could be an option for you.
In this video I test out the velocity, accuracy and I basic operation, so let’s get started with the velocity or fps portion of the testing. I loaded up the Umarex Beretta Mod. 92 FS Spring Clear Airsoft Pistol with a full 12 rounds of .12 gram Airsoft BB’s in the drop out magazine. I shot 5 rounds through my Chronograph hitting the following fps: 285, 288, 289, 292, 289, which averaged 289 fps. Umarex claims a velocity of up to 260 fps which I shot a bit over, but if you do plan on using more standard heavier .20 gram Airsoft BB’s, that numbers going to drop a bit perhaps in the mid or lower 200’s.
I then placed a brand new paper target on my backstop 30 feet down range and proceeded to shoot a full 12 round magazine into it using a semi rested shooting position, hands rested on a sand bag up front and sitting on a stool in the back. This generally gives me good stability while performing these field tests but there is always some human factor to take into consideration. I did not get a super impressive grouping, the Umarex Beretta Mod. 92 FS Spring Clear Airsoft Pistol likes to fling Airsoft BB’s around a bit resulting in around a 7 inch grouping. You can see the BB’s curl as they fly through the air. Using heavier Airsoft BB’s should help tighten up the grouping somewhat, but for all intents and purposes I did get all the shots onto my paper target which would represent a person’s mid section well. So if you were using this simple Airsoft Pistol for some fun war games with your friends, you would be able to hit a person easily from closer in ranges.
The Umarex Beretta Mod. 92 FS Spring Clear Airsoft Pistol is really made for having some fun close range war games with your friends or even shooting pop cans I would say within 20 feet or so. It works pretty good overall with consistent velocity and predictable accuracy even if it is not super accurate. The fact that it is a clear gun makes it a lot less intimidating and for those with parents sitting on the fence about allowing their kids to get an Airsoft Gun, this one may nudge them into the more willing category. So it may come down to the simple fact that you can get this gun or no gun, if your parents are the limiting factor?
Trigger Pull: The single action only trigger pull on the Umarex Beretta Mod. 92 FS Spring Clear Airsoft Pistol is actually pretty decent as all the work is mainly done cocking the hammer when you pull back the slide to preload the internal spring piston. There is about a half inch of take-up and then another quarter inch before you feel some tension on the trigger, and then about another quarter inch of pull where you can feel the pressure of the release. I would say overall it the weight is on the lighter side but the actual full length is long for a single action only trigger. There is no double action trigger so if you decock the hammer you can not shoot until the hammer has been cocked again.
Accuracy: I did quickly load up a 12 round magazine of Airsoft BB’s and give the Umarex Beretta Mod. 92 FS Spring Clear Airsoft Pistol a bit of a whirl to see what it shot and felt like. Airsoft BB’s did seem to get to the target fairly quickly, I did notice a few of them curve just a bit but they did all hit my paper target close to where I was aiming from 30 feet away. We will see how it shoots when I do make my Field Test Shooting Video for it down the road. I would say the 260 fps claimed velocity looks to be about right but again may actual Chronograph test will tell the true story.
Build Quality: The Umarex Beretta Mod. 92 FS Spring Clear Airsoft Pistol is an almost all clear plastic built Airsfot Pistol with some scattered metal parts, like the the inner barrel, some springs and screws, and a chunk of metal in the magazine to give it some extra weight and balance. That said the actual fit and finish are good and it should hold up OK since an Airgun this light when dropped has very little mass which can protect it from damage in a fall or drop.
Realism: Again, being a mostly clear plastic Airsoft Pistol with an orange tip, makes this not so real looking as a Replica Airgun, but that is kind of the point here. It is realistic in terms of shape and design to that of a Beretta Mod. 92 FS but that’s about it, the weight is only about a quarter of the real steel version. The Umarex Beretta Mod. 92 FS Spring Clear Airsoft Pistol is made as perhaps a first time Airsoft Pistol for a younger shooter that may have parents that don’t want them getting anything too realistic looking and potentially getting into trouble with it.
Pros:
Fairly low cost and comes with 500 Airsoft BB’s to get you shooting right away.
Full size drop size weighted magazine is nice.
All the parts feel pretty tight, does not feel overly cheap, has some metal parts where they are needed, barrel, springs, weigght in magazine.
Red dot on front sights helps with target acquisition.
No CO2 required, just your Airsoft BB’s.
Beretta licensing via Umarex.
Slide operates as it is required to cock the spring piston.
Hammer is actually operational, can be decocted.
Makes a good beginner pistol for someone getting into the hobby that may not want a gun that looks super realistic.
Not super realistic being clear and having a red tip, so parents may be more open to buying and using for younger shooters.
Cons:
It is on the light weight side.
Does have an orange tip.
Being a clear gun obviously takes away from the realism but that is the point of this gun so as not be confused with a real gun.
Loading is a bit finicky.
Comments:
There is a place for an Airsoft Pistol just like this. Something not too realistic but close enough to give a newer shooter an idea of what it might feel like to shoot a gun like this. The price of the Umarex Beretta Mod. 92 FS Spring Clear Airsoft Pistol is reasonable to purchase and the cost to shoot it is low as you already have a bunch of Airsoft BB’s included, so you can get to blasting cans right away. The fact that you have to rack the slide with each shot means it will take a while to get through the initial 500 rounds that come with it, so again there is some cost saving with a setup like this. I think it makes an ideal first target Airsoft Pistol for younger shooters with concerned parents that may just get them into the hobby.
Type:Airsoft AEG Rifle. Manufacturer: Specna Arms. Model: SA-FX02 FLEX. Materials: Reinforced Polymer, Zinc Alloy, and Steel Construction. Weight: 4.7 pounds (2.1 kg). Trigger Pull: The trigger on the Specna Arms SA-FX02 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle is typical of most AEG Airsfot rifles as it is essentially an off trigger that completes a circuit that signals the controller to use what every trigger programming has been setup by the user. What is unique with the Specna Arms SA-FX02 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifles is the ability for the user to fully program the trigger with various semi and full auto setting, along with an adjustable trigger point and even a pre-cocking adjustment. Specna Arms does give you a plastic card that has all the setting listed to make programing easier.
Accuracy: I have not shot the Specna Arms SA-FX02 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle or tested it out so far here in the Sea Can indoor shooting range, so I have no real idea in terms of accuracy or if it is close to the claimed 360 ish fps. I will be making a full dedicated Field Test Shooting Video for it shortly as soon as I am able to. This AEG Airsoft Rifle is specifically made for even advanced shooters so I would expect it to perform very well. Stay posted for that upcoming Field Test Shooting Video.
Build Quality: The Specna Arms SA-FX02 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle is made to be a light weight and easy to cary Airsoft Rifle that will not break the bank, but still includes a lot of higher grade materials and parts internally like a Metal V2 Gearbox and MOSFET ETU. The outer skin is mostly plastic but it is fiber reenforced for added durability. You do get a 6.03mm precision inner barrel for increased accuracy along with other metal parts like the Picatinny Rails, Charging Handle, Bolt Release, Flash Hider, Assorted Pins, Rings and Screws.
Realism: The Specna Arms SA-FX02 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle is built around an AR-15 (AR-9) based submachine gun (SMG). It is not built as a replica of any specific real steel model, but in terms of size and controls it operates much the same. It is lighter weight since the outer construction incorporates a lot of plastic but it still comes in at a decent weight for an SMG Airsoft Rifle.

Affordable yet very high quality product for what you pay. Perfect for all types shooters.
Quality components throughout.
Customizable trigger settings for sensitivity and shooting modes.

Cons:
Lots of plastic on this Airsoft Rifle makes it a bit light weight.
Will need your own battery and charger setup.
You will need a very compact battery setup with most Specna Arms models
Comments:
The Specna Arms SA-FX02 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle is specially built for beginners and more advanced users. How can this be? Well it is priced so someone getting into the hobby can afford it and see if this is something they might be interested in pursuing. Often times a first Airsoft Gun when priced lower is going to have a lot of compromises that can affect performance and use. With the Specna Arms SA-FX02 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle, this is not the case. So why would a more advanced user want something like this? Maybe they have already invested a ton of money into their primary weapon, but want something a bit different, or even something they can beat up a bit and not feel bad about it. But they still want an Airsoft Rifle that performs. Well the Specna Arms SA-FX02 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle kinda checks all those boxes. I hope I don’t eat my words when I make my Field Test Shooting Video so don’t let me down Specna Arms…
Type: GBB Airsoft Pistol. Manufacturer: WE Airsoft Model:1039 M2 Materials: Mostly all metal build. Weight: 2.43 pounds (1100 grams). Barrel: 4.53 inches, non-rifled. Length: 8.5 inches. Propulsion: Green Gas Action: Semi & full Auto, single and double action trigger. Ammunition Type: 6mm Plastic Airsoft BB's. Ammunition Capacity: 26 round full size dropout metal magazine. FPS: 366+.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the WE M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is good in both single and double action. Double action as expected has the longer heavier pull but is still smooth and fairly light with a predictable release. Single action shooting has a much shorter trigger pull with a bit of take-up and an even lighter release than in double action shooting mode.
Accuracy: This is one of those times I actually performed my Field Test Portion of my Review first so I do have some feedback in terms of the accuracy and velocity for the WE M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol. WE claims an fps of around 366+ using the extended barrel that comes with it so this is how I tested it. I did use .26 gram airsoft BB’s so the fps was a bit lower but I did get close to 320 fps, So you should expect around a 20% increase in FPS using .20 gram Airsoft BB’s, so closer to 360-380 fps. In terms of accuracy I did notice that the WE M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol shot rather low for me, as much as 8 inches at 30 feet out, perhaps adjustment get hop-up will fix that, at longer ranges it should… That said I found I was able to get around a 1-5.2 inch 10 round grouping at 30 feet out. In terms of full auto, all I can say is don’t expect to hit very much you point at as the gun really likes to rock around!
Build Quality: The WE M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is a really gorgeous looking pistol and has one of my favorite looking finishes in that stainless steel look. You will find it has an overall solid build quality, it is virtually all metal with only the grips and some internal parts like the gas chamber and nozzle being plastic. There is almost zero slide wiggle and all in all this Airsoft pistol performed great for me with no mechanical problems.
Realism: As is with most Full Blowback Airsoft Pistols they are built to look and act the part of their real steel counterparts and the WE M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is no exception! All mechanical parts work as intended and you can easily field strip the WE M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol to swap out the internal barrel and adjust the hop-up. I like the fact that WE Airsoft color matched the magazine rather than simply shipping it with the black magazine as I have found some other companies do.
Pros:
All metal pistol with good weight to it.
Crisp firm full blowback operation.
Excellent fit and finish.
No markings on the metal parts at all, just the WE branding on the grips.
Color matching magazine.
Gun will accept real Beretta M9 grips.
Semi and full auto selector safety switch.
White dot sights front and back.
Good fps, right around the claimed 366 using .20 gram Airsoft BB’s.
Very believable working replica of the real steel Beretta M9 Pistol.
Fully field strip-able.
Comes with extension barrel and replaceable inner barrel if not going to use extension.
Cons:
No marking on the gun if that is important to you?
Shot rather low in my testing but hop-up and barrel change may fix it.
Almost unusable in Full Auto mode.
The WE M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is one of the nicer looking Airsoft Beretta M9 pistols on the market and is comparable in quality to other higher end brands like KWA and KJWorks. The price point is also in line with what you are getting. I really like the Stainless - Silver - Chrome finish or what ever you want to call it… One thing I was not able to determine 100% is if this version is in fact the Gen 2 version but I do believe it is given that it has the black gas tube in it. We just don’t have it advertised as such. If you’re in the market for a Beretta style M9 Pistol then consider the WE M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol as a solid choice.
I haven’t reviewed many WE products over the years as they where not part of our inventory in the Replica Airguns Store. The good news is we do carry a selection of their pistols in our Canada Store including the WE 1039 M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol I review in this video along with some 1911’s. In this Field Test Shooting Video I test out the WE 1039 M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol in the Replica Airguns Sea Can Indoor Shooting Range to find out what the real world velocity and accuracy is.
Starting with the velocity portion of the test I place 6 rounds through my Chronograph using .25 gram Airsoft BB’s and I averaged 317 fps which is about right considering the claimed fps is 366+ using .20 gram Airsoft BB’s. The temperature was also not overly hot or cold in the Sea Can so in warner shooting conditions the fps will up a bit too.
Next I performed my accuracy test where i generally shoot 10 rounds on a paper target for 30 feet back ling a rested shooting position, sand bag up front and sensated in the back. I found the WE 1039 M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol was shooting a good 6-8 inches low at this range with the default hop-up setup so I had to aim near the top of my target to place rounds closer to the bullseye for the sake of the video. I would say the WE 1039 M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is capable of 1-2 inch 10 rod groupings, my test was closer to 2 inches but I can see potential for sub 2 inch groups. A quick hop-up adjustment should bring the aim point closer to where the rounds are actually hitting. I did perform a full auto mag dump and the WE 1039 M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol was able to get through all 26 rounds with a full mag of gas but as expected accuracy was not very goo dat all as the heavy blowback action really throws this gun around.
All in all the WE 1039 M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is a really nice Airsoft pistol that performs fairly well and in a game situation would get the job done nicely. It’s also a real looker with it’s stainless looking finish. Keep posted for my Table Top Video I will be making shortly for the WE 1039 M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol.
First off make sure to checkout my Table top review for the G&G GPM92 Beretta Mod. 92FS GBB Airsoft Pistol, it really is a nice Beretta Airsoft copy, perhaps one of the best out there!
In the Field Test Shooting Video I perform my standard Chronograph and accuracy tests on the G&G GPM92 Beretta Mod. 92FS GBB Airsoft Pistol. I put 5 rounds through my Chrony Chronograph using .20 gram plastic Airsoft BB's with a full propane filled magazine. My Sea Can indoor airgun range was warmed up sufficiently for a gas gun test but I found the G&G GPM92 Beretta Mod. 92FS GBB Airsoft Pistol did shoot a tad bit slower than the 330 or so claimed fps coming in closer to 300fps. Still totally usable for indoor airgun wars.
Moving onto my accuracy test I placed 10 shots on target 30 feet down range using a rested shooting position, sitting in the back and sand bag up front. This time I was impressed with how tight a group I got, I was able to get the bulk of the shots all within about three quarters of an inch with only two shots hitting just a little outside of this. I did notice the G&G GPM92 Beretta Mod. 92FS GBB Airsoft Pistol was shooting a bit low for me but that can be easily corrected by adjusting the the internal hop-up to raise the shot placement up as required.
The G&G GPM92 Beretta Mod. 92FS GBB Airsoft Pistol has a somewhat relaxed blowback but has plenty to give some recoil feel. You will get at least a full 27 round magazines worth of shots from each gas fill, perhaps even two if you stretch out your shooting a bit.
Type: Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistol. Manufacturer: G&G Model: GPM92 Materials: Metal slide & frame. Weight: 2.24 pounds (1016 grams). Length: 8.9 inches total Barrel: 4.6 inches,Metal non-rifled smooth bore. Propulsion: Green gas or propane. Action: Blowback, single and double action. Ammunition Type: 6mm plastic Airsoft BB's. Ammunition Capacity: 27 rounds. FPS: 350+ fps.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the G&G GPM92 Beretta Mod. 92FS GBB Airsoft Pistol is very good in both single and double action. Double action is a bit longer but not that much heavier when shooting in single action. Single action shooting is short, light and crisp as you would expect when shooting a real steel Beretta 92 style pistol.
Accuracy: I have not done my actual Field Test Shooting video review for the G&G GPM92 Beretta Mod. 92FS GBB Airsoft Pistol but I did get the chance to shot it quickly in my Sea Can indoor shooting range. Blowback felt good and accuracy seemed tight even though I was shooting free hand. I did notice the G&G GPM92 Beretta Mod. 92FS GBB Airsoft Pistol shot just a little bit low but I can adjust the hop-up slightly to account for it.
Build Quality: Like pretty much all G&G Airsoft guns, the G&G GPM92 Beretta Mod. 92FS GBB Airsoft Pistol build quality is right inline. Fit and finish where excellent and a lot of attention to detail was seen all over this Replica Airsoft Pistol. There is also some new gas valve technology from G&G that should significantly help with freezing in colder or fast shooting situations.
Realism: The G&G GPM92 Beretta Mod. 92FS GBB Airsoft Pistol is an excellent replica of the real steel Beretta Mod. 92FS, the safety even acts as a working decocker. You'll also find 5, 10, and 15 numbered markings on the backside of the magazine that would normally indicate how many bullets are in the magazine, a nice touch for sure! Everything works pretty much the same as it would on a real Beretta M9 including the ability to fully field strip the G&G GPM92 Beretta Mod. 92FS GBB Airsoft Pistol.
Whirl Cylinder Valve system should expect to get decent amounts of shots per gas fill.
White dot sights front and back.
Comes with hard shell case.
Very detailed full size drop out metal magazine.
20mm rail for accessories.
Comes with high quality speed loader.
Safety also works as a decocker.
Threaded removable barrel tip for add on mock suppressor.
Cons:
Sights are non adjustable.
A little bit more expensive than some other Beretta M92 full blowback Airsoft pistols
Barrel opening not as recessed as much as a real 9mm would be.
Comments:
I would have to say the G&G GPM92 is one of the nicest Beretta Model 92FS Airsoft Pistols you are going to find out there. There is a ton of attention to detail for sure, You also get the hard shell case with included high quality speed loader and G&G's new Advanced Safety Release Valve and Revolutionary Whirl Cylinder Valve that help with freeze-up issues. You might pay just a smidgen more that some other similar Blowback Beretta M92's out there but I feel it is well worth it.
My Vimeo Table Top Review of the G&G GPM92 Beretta Mod. 92FS GBB Airsoft Pistol:
I just received some really nice G& G Airsoft guns to share with everyone, I have two CQB Styled AEG rifles and a fantastic Gas Blowback Beretta Mod. 92FS.
The AEG CQB AR or M4 styled rifles are similar in a lot of ways and are super compact and really well built. The G&G ARP-9 has a polymer receiver and hand guard while the G&G ARP-556 has a full metal receiver and hand guard. Both have good weight to them. You will also find Skeletonized PDW stocks and large crown flash hiders on both models along with M-LOK hand guards. Inside you will find upgraded ETU and MOSFET electronics.
Obvious difference are the 9mm style magazine found on the G&G ARP-9 versus the M4 styled high capacity magazine on the G&G ARP-556. You also get an ambidextrous safety sector switch on the G&G ARP-556.
Next I show off the G&G GPM92 Beretta Mod. 92FS Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistol. It comes in a high quality hard plastic case with a well made speed loader. If you place the magazine in the gun you will have room for two magazine in the hard shell case. The G&G GPM92 hold 27 roads in it's double stack magazine that has some interesting new features that help it perform much beet in cold environments and really boost green gas usage. G& G calls them the Whirl Cylinder Valve system and Micro gas filter. Both help eliminate free up in the gun when shooting fast.
The G&G GPM92 Beretta Mod. 92FS is really well made and shoot in double and single action and the safety even works as a decocker. For those looking to add a mock suppressor you will happy to know the G&G GPM92 has a threaded barrel tip.
In this comparison video I look at a variety of different Beretta 92/Taurus PT92 Airguns and compare them to each other to determine which one I feel is the best Beretta/Taurus Airgun. Keep in mind what's best in for me may not be best for you.
Yes, I have more of my personal guns for sale, now we are getting into the pistols! I am showcasing here on the Replica Airguns website and over on the Replica Airguns YouTube channel a series of videos I am making for the purpose of selling some guns out of my personal collection. I simply have to make room for the new guns I will be testing and reviewing for everyone, my collection has gotten a little bit out of hand and needs to be thinned down a bit :)
In this 5th Mike's Personal Guns For Sale video, I am offering some of my pellet pistols in a variety of models ranging from some classic Crosman SAA .22 caliber revolvers to more modern CO2 blowback pistols like the Umarex Beretta PX4 Storm
Make sure to watch my above YouTube video to see these Pellet Pistols I am selling and instructions on how you can take part in the sale and purchase of them. By the way I am only selling to Canadian residents since shipping cross borders is a little sketchy.
Here is a list of the Pellet Pistols I am selling from my personal gun collection:
I was hoping my Bruni Mod. 92 Top Venting 8mm PAK Blank Pistol would also perform just as well and as luck would have it, it did :) I did notice on the last round the shell kind of stayed in place and got re-chambered, not really sure what happened there but all 4 rounds fired which was my main goal and of course I caught it all in slow-motion HD!
Both CO2 4.5mm Replica Air Pistols feature full size drop out metal magazines that hold the CO2 and 4.5mm steel BB's. These super realistic BB guns also have full blowback with working slide catches, safeties and magazine releases and they can both be field stripped juts like the real steel versions.
In this field test comparison I shoot both guns through my Chronograph to see what kind of feet per second performance each one shoots, I also take them back 30 feet and shoot 10 rounds on a paper target using a semi rested position for true accuracy results.
Watch my Field Test Head to Head Shootout for the KWC Model M1911 Tac A1 vs Cybergun-KWC GSG 92-M92:
Trigger Pull: The Umarex Beretta M 92FS has a double action trigger and is extremely nice in both single and double action mode with the single action having the lightest pull. As this gun uses a rotary magazine, the first part of the trigger motion not only cocks the hammer but also rotates the internal 8 shot magazine.
Accuracy: I shot this air gun from 20 feet away in a free standing position at my target, and it performed well getting a mainly tight grouping with a few flyers possibly because of the awkward camera mount position I was using. I removed the camera and shot another 4 magazines in double action and was able to keep most of the pellets in a 1.5 inch group. My Chrony testing with an eight shot averaged result was 363 fps using 6.9 grain RWS pellets.
Build Quality: This is an almost all metal air gun with excellent fit and finish and a nice heavy 2.9 pound weight to it. It's made in Germany, so you know it's a quality product? The only non-metal parts to speak of are the grips which are a hard plastic or real wood depending on what version of this gun you have. The mechanics of this gun are very fluid.
Realism: The Umarex Beretta M 92 FS is a licensed replica of the real Beretta M 92FS semi auto pistol. It looks very close to the real steel with the exception of the break in the slide where the rotary magazine is accessible.
Purchased From: Used.
Pros:
All metal construction - good weight and very solid feeling gun - 2.9 pounds!
German made!
Comes in a nice hard-shell case.
Very nice looking gun with in the Matte black - Blued finish and in the two-tone Nickel.
Adjustable rear sight for windage.
Double and Single Action trigger, very smooth and light in both actions.
Ambidextrous safety just like the real steel.
Good accuracy, decent FPS for a pellet shooing pistol and very good usage of CO2 (12 magazines).
More expensive then many entry level guns but much higher quality.
The sights are a bit hard to see when shooting on certain darker backgrounds.
Engraving on the right side of the gun is a bit loud on the black version.
Comments:
I have to say I pretty much like most everything about this airgun; Its size, its looks, it's German build and quality and the ease in which it shoots. The Umarex Beretta M 92 FS air pistol along with the other German made Umarex rotary magazine air pistols are one of those airguns I think everyone should save up for just to have the pleasure to own and shoot. There is nothing to substitute quality and a gun like this will not only give you teh pride of ownership but also years and years of shooting enjoyment.
My Vimeo Video Review for this quality German made Beretta M 92FS Airgun:
