KWC SP2022 NBB CO2 BB Pistol Field Test Review

In this Field Test Shooting Video Review of the KWC SP2022 NBB CO2 BB Pistol I set out the Velocity in FPS using a Chronograph along with the accuracy shooting 10 rounds at a paper target setup 30 feet away. Umarex claims just under 400 fps so the goal will be to see how close we can get to that power rating. I have already made a Table Top Review Video for the KWC SP2022 NBB CO2 BB Pistol where I go into details about specification and also show more close up video of this NBB CO2 BB Pistol. Make sure to watch that video if that is the information you are looking for as this video only goes into performance characteristics.

For my Velocity Test of the KWC SP2022 NBB CO2 BB Pistol, I shot 5 rounds through my Chronograph using a brand new CO2 in a typical room temperature environment, not too cold or too warm. I was able to get an average velocity of 355 fps with my slowest recored shot hitting 344 fps and my fastest recored shot hitting 362 fps. I did notice that the fps seemed to increase a bit with each shot which is not typical of CO2 Airguns. This may mean the CO2 was not fully pierced but I did crank it down pretty tight. Perhaps there is more potential power out of this CO2 pistol by using a slightly different brand CO2 than I was using, as sometimes a CO2 can just not fight properly, so by switching CO2 brands with a slightly different nozzle shape, you can get a better fit?

Moving on to my accuracy test, I setup a brand new paper target 30 feet away form my shooting position which uses a sand bag up front to rest the gun on and me sitting on a stool in the back to help stabilize each shot. There is also some human factor when performing accuracy shooting totes with any gun but I do my best to get the most out of each Airgun. The KWC SP2022 NBB CO2 BB Pistol shot very well centered on the target left to right and just a bit on the high side but not by much. The 10 shot grouping did spread out a bit to around 4 inches or so but it was an even spread. I would have liked to have seen just bit tighter grouping, even a 3 inch grouping means you are going to hit a pop can at 30 feet pretty consistently.

All in all the KWC SP2022 NBB CO2 BB Pistol is a fun plinker with enough power and accuracy at the end of the day to enjoy blasting targets in your back yard effectively. The double action trigger is pretty good, like most double action trigger it is a little longer but it is smooth and the trigger weigth is light to medium with a predictive breaking point at the end. I am a Sig Sauer fan so I do like the look and feel of this pistol an even though it is mostly plastic, the all metal magazine adds enough weight to make it feel more substantial in your hand than what you would expect form a mostly plastic Airgun. if you want a fun inexpensive plinker that is going to be efficient on CO2 and cost very little to shoot then the KWC SP2022 NBB CO2 BB Pistol would be a good choice.

KWC 2022 NBB - 24/7 NBB - 24/7 Blowback CO2 BB Pistol Field Test Review

This is a combined Filed Test Shooting Video for the KWC 2022 NBB - 24/7 NBB - 24/7 Blowback CO2 BB Pistols. I already made an update video for these KWC Steel BB Pistols since they are slightly different version I have not covered in any video beforehand.

As per my typical Field Test Shooting Videos I first place 5 shots through my Chronograph to test out the real world fps of each gun. I then shoot 10 rounds on a paper target setup 30 feet away using a seated and rested shooting position. My ammo for this test was 5.1 grain zinc coated 4.5mm Steel BB’s for all airguns along within a brand new 12 gram CO2. The temperature in my indoor Sea Can Airgun Shooting Range was around 25 degrees Celsius (77 degrees Fahrenheit) for this test.

First up was the KWC 2022 NBB 4.5mm CO2 Steel BB Pistol with an average five shot fps of 347. The KWC 2022 NBB 4.5mm CO2 Steel BB Pistol was the least accurate of the three Airguns tested on this day getting about a 5-6 inch 10 shot grouping. I did notice when I went to edit the video that it did shoot a double shot on the first shot which lowered that first shot making the group a bit larger. This may have been as a result of pulling the trigger with the safety on right before which probably loaded a round into the barrel followed by the second pull loading a second BB into the barrel.

I then tested out the KWC 24/7 NBB 4.5mm CO2 Steel BB Pistol which was by far the most powerful Airgun tested out of the three hitting a top fps of 452 with a five shot average of 420 fps! The KWC 24/7 NBB 4.5mm CO2 Steel BB Pistol was also fairly accurate getting a nice 2 inch 10 shot grouping, slightly to the left and just under the bullseye. Nothing wrong with that!

The last KWC 4.5mm Steel BB pistol for the day was my KWC 24/7 Blowback CO2 4.5mm Steel BB Pistol. The only only blowback single action shooter out of the bunch. As expected from a blowback CO2 Airgun the fps was lower averaging just under 300 fps (298 to be precise). The surprise of the day was the accuracy from the KWC 24/7 Blowback CO2 4.5mm Steel BB Pistol was the best out of this test group getting really close to a 1 inch grouping very well centered just a tad to the right but with near perfect elevation.

Depending on what you are going for, all of these Airguns are great choices. If you want ultimate power perhaps go for the KWC 24/7 NBB 4.5mm CO2 Steel BB Pistol with its 450+ fps, if you want accuracy and realism then I would suggest the KWC 24/7 Blowback CO2 4.5mm Steel BB Pistol with its full blowback action and excellent accuracy.

Cybergun Sig Sauer SP2022 Sportline CO2 Airsoft Pistol Shooting Review

First off let's get the fact that the Cybergun Sig Sauer SP2022 Sportline CO2 Airsoft Pistol is not going to win any awards for true to scale weight and materials used in its production. This Airsoft pistol is virtually all plastic with the exception of some internal metal parts. It weighs next to nothing but that could actually be a good thing if you don't want a heavy sidearm dragging you down on the field. Once you are all geared up with your primary weapon and all it's extra magazines and what not. And of course you are probably covered head to toe in some sort of tactical uniform, why drag yourself down even more with a heavy sidearm and all it's heavy backup magazines? Just a thought!

What's really important is how does the Cybergun Sig Sauer SP2022 Sportline CO2 Airsoft Pistol actually perform? Well really good for an inexpensive pistol and since there is no blowback operation you are going to get a lot more shots per CO2 and higher fps.

In terms of power, being non-blowback did seem to help out the Cybergun Sig Sauer SP2022 Sportline CO2 Airsoft Pistol. I got an average of 390 fps shooting 6 shots through my Chrony Chronograph. I was using .20 gram plastic Airsoft BB's with a brand new CO2 cartridge. The temperature was around 16-17 degrees Celsius which is around 62 degree Fahrenheit.

Next up I placed 10 rounds into my paper target setup 30 feet down range. From my seated and rested position I was able to get about a 2 inch grouping and all the shots where fairly well centered, just a tad to the left. This is good considering most lower priced Airsoft pistols are not going to have adjustable sights which is the same with the Cybergun Sig Sauer SP2022 Sportline CO2 Airsoft Pistol.

Being that the Cybergun Cybergun Sig Sauer SP2022 Sportline CO2 Airsoft Pistol is non-blowback, it only shoots in double action only but I found the trigger to be really good. It's nice and light, not too long and even good for rapid fire shooting! You just need to learn the break point if you want to slow it down and go for accuracy. Overall I think the Cybergun Sig Sauer SP2022 Sportline CO2 Airsoft Pistol is a nice under the radar kind of Airsoft pistol and if you are looking for a light weight inexpensive backup gun then the Cybergun Sig Sauer SP2022 Sportline CO2 Airsoft Pistol would be a good option.

Gletcher SS 2202 Metal Slide CO2 BB Pistol Field Test Shooting Review

This is my Official Field Test Shooting Review video for the Gletcher SS 2202 Metal Slide CO2 BB Pistol. You can also checkout my full review including a Field Test for the KWC SP 2022 which by the way is pretty much the exact same BB pistol but distributed by KWC rather than Gletcher.

In this Field Test Shooting video I test out the performance of the Gletcher SS 2202 Metal Slide using my Chronograph to get a real world Feet Per Second rating, I also step back 30 feet and shoot 10 rounds at a paper target using a semi rested position (Sand bag up front and standing in the back).

In terms of velocity the Gletcher SS 2202 Metal Slide CO2 BB Pistol performed very close to the KWC SP 2022 review I did earlier shooting as high as 468 fps. I did have some chronograph miss-readings that made the average come down a bit but I would say a flawless string of readings would have been around 450+ fps.

Stepping back 30 feet and shooting at my paper target, the Gletcher SS 2202 CO2 BB Pistol produced a respectable 4 inch grouping that was just a little to the left but not by too much. I really like the trigger on the Gletcher SS 2202 CO2 BB Pistol, for a double action only pistol it is very smooth, light and not overly long! The release is very predictable and there is zero stickiness in the first stage.

The fairly high fps for a shorter barrel pistol is most likely due to a more than average amount of CO2 released per shot but even so you can expect close to 100 shots per CO2. If you plan on using the Gletcher SS 2202 in your back yard, keep in mind that it is louder than most CO2 BB pistols, it really gives a nice loud crack with each shot.

All in all a real decent performance out of the Gletcher SS 2202 Metal Slide CO2 BB Pistol, if you are a Sig Sauer fan like I am then this Sig Pro replica is a no brainer to have in your collection!

Cybergun Sig Sauer SP2022 Metal Slide CO2 BB Gun Review

Type: BB air pistol.
Manufacturer: Cybergun.
Model: Sig Sauer SP2022.
Materials: Metal and polymer build.
Weight: 1.7 pounds.
Barrel: 4 inches, brass, non-rifled.
Propulsion: CO2 x1.
Action: Semi auto non-blowback, double action only.
Ammunition Type: Steel BBs 4.5mm.
Ammunition Capacity: 23 rounds
FPS: 328 (Tested way higher!)
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Sig Sauer SP2028 was much lighter then I expected! As the SP2022 is a double action only pistol, the trigger must first cock the hammer before the hammer can be released, usually requiring additional force. The trigger was a bit long but smooth and light.

Accuracy: Very decent for a low cost short barreled BB shooter, I got just over a 2 inch grouping from a 20 foot away free standing position, shooting just to the left and a bit high. I also put the Cybergun Sig Sauer SP2022 Metal Slide version through my Chrony Chronograph and even though the box has a 328 fps rating on it, I got an incredible 8 shot average velocity of 478 fps and no my Chronograph was not broken! I really don't know what to say abut this? Perhaps my gun was an exception or maybe I accidentally got the "powered Version" as one does exist from Cybegun with a higher 426 fps claimed velocity. Or maybe they are all just this way?
Build Quality: Very good, I was extremely pleased with the fit and finish of my Cybergun Sig Sauer SP2022 Sig Pro! The metal slide and polymer frame along with the all metal full size drop out magazine gave this air pistol a really nice balance and weight to it, I would expect it to be very similar to the real steel as they are both constructed similarly.

Realism: The Cybergun Sig Pro SP2022 is very close to the look, weight, and feel of the real Sig Sauer SP2022 Sig Pro! For a lower cost airgun, I was very impressed with all the detail that it had including the licensing and trademarks throughout the pistol and amazing attention to detail.
Available From: The Replica Airguns Store

Pros:

  • Good weight and very solid feeling gun.
  • Metal slide and all metal full size drop out magazine.
  • Very Accurate licensed Sig Sauer SP2022 replica.
  • Crazy high fps results!
  • Very affordable.
  • Fairly light double action trigger.
  • Magazine holds both the CO2 and BB's - always nice.
  • Recessed barrel for added realism.
  • Good overall accuracy and shots per CO2.

Cons:

  • Non-blowback and the slide does not move either.
  • The hammer is only for show and does not move when firing.
  • Non adjustable rear sights.

Comments:
I ordered my Cybergun Sig Sauer SP2022 Sig Pro with two other Cybergun pistols (The Jericho 941 and Sigarms GSR), all of them in the lower and more affordable price point, out of all three of them so far I am really liking the SP2022 for a lot of reasons: It just looks really good, it has good weight and feel, for an air pistol in this price range to have a metal slide and full metal drop out magazine is also a welcome change. But most of all mine shot so much harder then expected that I was almost afraid to publish my test results! Even if it shot closer to the claimed fps this gun is well worth it and I would still be very happy and quick to recommend the Cybergun Sig Sauer SP2022 Sig Pro.
