Build Quality & Design

The Specna Arms SA-E10 PDW EDGE features an exceptional full metal build with an aluminum alloy upper and lower receiver finished in a scratch-resistant Nano Coating. It is officially licensed by Rock River Arms and showcases crisp, deep laser-engraved trademarks across the receiver.

The rifle incorporates high-strength polymer furniture where appropriate (such as the pistol grip and sights) while keeping all major structural components, including the receiver, telescopic stock guide rods, partial buffer tube, and outer barrel assembly all solid metal.

Key Design Elements:

  • Rock River Arms Licensing: Authentic deep-engraved receiver markings and unique serial number.

  • PDW Stock: Telescoping 4-position wire stock with integrated buffer tube battery compartment.

  • Front Quad Rail: Short 22mm RIS Picatinny handguard providing mounting space on top, bottom, and sides.

  • QD Pistol Grip: Tool-free quick-access base plate for fast motor inspection and maintenance.

  • Mock Suppressor / Muzzle Device: Aggressive front muzzle device mounted via standard 14mm CCW threading.

  • Rotary Hop-Up: Accessible behind the dust cover by pulling back the metal charging handle.

Features Overview

  • GATE X-ASR 4th Gen MOSFET: Protects internal trigger contacts, optimizes battery efficiency, speeds up trigger cycle response, and features built-in onboard diagnostics.

  • ORION V2 Gearbox: Features a reinforced gearbox shell, steel gears, 8mm ball bearings, and polymer piston with full steel teeth for outstanding out-of-the-box durability.

  • ESA™ Quick Spring Change System: Allows players to swap out the main spring in minutes without having to remove or open the gearbox.

  • Mid-Cap S-MAGs: Ships standard with two 125-round mid-cap magazines, eliminating winding wheels and BB rattle during movement.

  • Tool-free QD pistol grip provides instant access to the motor.

  • Extremely compact, maneuverable PDW layout with 22mm RIS rail mounting options.

  • No orange tip on Canada Store versions.

Cons:

  • PDW buffer tube battery compartment is very tight (requires a compact stick LiPo setup, approx. 12 x 17 x 75 mm max).

  • Charging handle must be manually held back to access the rotary hop-up adjustment.

  • Flip-up sights and fire selector switch are primarily polymer construction.

  • Fire selector is right-hand oriented (non-ambidextrous).

Overall Impression & Availability

The Specna Arms RRA SA-E10 PDW EDGE is an outstanding, ultra-compact AEG that combines premium full-metal exterior construction with top-tier internal components. Between the factory GATE MOSFET, ORION reinforced gearbox, dual mid-cap magazines, and included M90 spring, it delivers high-end out-of-the-box CQB performance without requiring immediate aftermarket upgrades.

Replica Airguns August 2026 Unboxing - 4 New Products to Review

We’ve got yet another box on the table today for our August Mystery Unboxing. It took a while to arrive, but it was absolutely worth the wait. We’re diving into four highly anticipated products across the BB, Pellet, and Airsoft categories.

Here is a quick first look at what’s hitting the review table soon!

Marksman Model 1018 .177 Caliber Air Pistol

First out of the box is the Marksman 1018. This is a very budget-friendly (around $50), 1911-inspired spring-actuated pistol. It features fiber-optic sights on the front and back, making it an excellent, quiet option for basement or backyard plinking. While it can technically shoot darts and bolts, we'll be sticking to BBs and pellets for our tests.

Basic Specifications:

  • Action: Single-stroke spring piston

  • Caliber: .177 Caliber (BBs and Pellets)

  • Capacity: 18-shot internal BB reservoir

  • Velocity: Up to 200 FPS

  • Weight & Length: 1 lb / 9.0 inches

Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol

Next up is a beauty from Umarex, the Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS. If you love ultra-realistic replicas, this is it. It features a heavy full-metal slide spring, a recessed barrel, and classic white dot sights. The "MOS" means it comes ready with all the mounting plates you need to attach your favorite red dot sights. It runs on a full-size, drop-out 17-round metal magazine and utilizes a full blowback system for ultra realistic blowback operation.

Basic Specifications:

  • Action: Semi-auto full blowback, single CO2 cartridge

  • Caliber: 4.5mm (.177) steel BBs

  • Capacity: 17-round drop-out metal magazine

  • Velocity: Approximately 300 FPS

  • Weight & Length: 1.5 lbs / 7.95 inches

A&K M1873R M-LOK Lever Action Airsoft Gas Rifle

I'm incredibly excited to finally do a proper field test on this one. This is a replacement for a previous model that had a leaky loading valve. This gas-operated, "Mares Leg" style lever-action rifle is heavily modernized. It features a gorgeous real wood stock, an enlarged lever loop, a Picatinny top rail, an M-LOK handguard for accessories, and a mock suppressor on the front.

Basic Specifications:

  • Action: Gas Non-Blowback Lever Action (Green Gas)

  • Caliber: 6mm Airsoft BBs

  • Capacity: 25-round internal magazine

  • Velocity: 360 - 390 FPS (with 0.20g BBs)

  • Weight & Length: 3.7 lbs / 24.5 inches

Specna Arms SA-E10 PDW Edge AEG Airsoft Rifle

Finally, we have an absolute powerhouse in a tiny package: the Specna Arms SA-E10 PDW. This is a super-compact AR-style AEG with a polymer-metal build and a telescopic stock. Specna Arms goes above and beyond with the box contents on this one. Along with the rifle, you get two S-MAG mid-cap magazines, an additional M90 drop-in spring to easily lower your FPS for indoor fields, a Deans adapter, and a vertical foregrip.

Basic Specifications:

  • Action: Electric (AEG) with Pre-installed MOSFET

  • Capacity: Includes two 125-round mid-cap S-MAG magazines

  • Velocity: 375-390 FPS (Drops to ~310-320 FPS with included M90 spring)

  • Length: Minimum 505 mm (approx. 19.8 inches)

  • Inner Barrel: 160 mm precision 6.03mm barrel

Stay tuned to the Replica Airguns channel, as I'll be doing dedicated tabletop and field test shooting videos for all of these very soon.
