KWC Jericho 941 CO2 Airsoft Pistol Field Test Review

Make sure to watch my Table Top Review video for the KWC Jericho 941 CO2 Airsoft Pistol where I show you around this Israeli designed pistol a bit more and talk about its specifications and features.

I have also previously done a full review of the Cybergun distributed Jericho 941. Both versions are pretty much the same with the exception of ammo types - the Cybergun Jericho 941 using 4.5mm Steel BB's and the KWC 941 made to shoot 6mm Plastic Airsoft BB's.

Getting back to this Field Test Shooting Video, so how did the KWC Jericho 941 CO2 Airsoft Pistol perform for me? I was expecting some pretty decent fps performance sine the steel BB version was a pretty hot shooter but in Airsoft you don't always want crazy high fps performance or the gun may not be usable in any Airsoft games since it could injure an opponent. My 5 shot Chronograph test using .20 gram Airsoft BB's with a brand new 12 gram CO2 gave me an average of 438 fps which is about as fast as you are going to want an Airsoft gun to shoot. This pistol should be capable of hitting targets pretty far down range.

When I setup for the accuracy portion of my Shooting Field Test, as usual I stood 30 feet back from a paper target and used a semi rested stance (sand bag up front and standing in the back). My first round of 10 shots shot really high, with most of the shots hitting the target off camera. So I decided to take another 10 shots but this time with my aim point set at the bottom of the target. Using this method I was able to get all 10 shots fairly well centred on the paper target all within about 3 inches of each other. Not bad. So yes the KWC Jericho 941 CO2 Airsoft Pistol at 30 feet shoots a bit high but depending on what ranges you want it set for it may be just what you want?

The KWC Jericho 941 CO2 Airsoft Pistol is a double action only pistol without blowback operation so the trigger pull is longer and heavier then a blowback pistol with a single action trigger but I would have to say you can still rip off a bunch of quick shots regardless of the heavier trigger pull. In a nutshell the KWC Jericho 941 CO2 Airsoft Pistol is a really solid and consistent shooter with a fairly low price tag and the advantage of full size drop out metal magazines which are perfect for in field shooting.

KWC Model 941 (Jericho) CO2 Airsoft Pistol Table Top Review

Type: Airsoft pistol.

Manufacturer: KWC.

Model: IWI Jericho 941.

Materials: Metal & polymer build.

Weight: 2 pounds (800 grams).

Barrel: 4.62 inches, brass, non-rifled.

Propulsion: CO2 x1.

Action: Semi auto non-blowback, double action only.

Ammunition Type: Airsoft Plastic 6mm BB's.

Ammunition Capacity: 15 rounds

FPS: 400+

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the KWC IWI Jericho 941 CO2 Airsoft Pistol is about medium to hard but defiantly not the worst airgun I have tested. After you quickly shoot off a full CO2 cartridge you may need a bit of a break to rest your trigger finger but the actual shooting experience is just fine and it does not effect accuracy too much once you get used to the pull and break point of the trigger.

Accuracy: Accuracy and power are yet to be determined with the Airsoft version but here is what I had to say about the 4.5mm Steel BB version I tested out a while back:

"Accuracy was pretty good for a double action shooter, I got around a 1.5 inch grouping from a 20 foot away free standing position, shooting just a hair to the left but a bit on the high side. It is a bit unfortunately that the Jericho 941 does not have sight elevation adjustments as it would make a very accurate airgun otherwise. I also put the Cybergun IWI Jericho 941 through my Chrony Chronograph and got very impressive FPS results, actually starting off and staying well above the claimed manufacturers FPS. My 8 shot average on a new CO2 was a very high 488 FPS, again well above Cybergun's claimed 443 FPS."

Build Quality: Very good, the KWC Model 941 CO2 Airsoft Pistol weighs in at about 2 pounds which is a very hefty weight for a medium sized pistol. The build quality and fit and finish is good all around with decent usage of metal in the slide, magazine, outer barrel and trigger. There are not a lot of moving parts so I would expect good durability since there is not a lot to go wrong with this Airsoft pistol.

Realism: The KWC IWI Jericho 941 Airsoft Pistol is very close to the look, weight, and feel of the real Israel Weapons Industries Jericho 941! Even though it doesn't have a working slide it definitely looks the part with its cut out ejection port, full size drop out metal magazine and recessed metal barrel. The KWC Model 941 does not have any licensed trade marks to speak of but on the positive side of things it also doesn't have the ugly warning instructions written on it either.

Available From: The Replica Airguns Store

Pros:

  • Very good weight and solid feeling gun.

  • Metal Slide and metal barrel.

  • All metal full size drop out magazine holds CO2 and Airsoft BB's.

  • Very accurate IWI Jericho 941 replica in terns of looks, size and weight.

  • Should get good FPS based on the steel BB version results.

  • Can expect lots of shots per CO2 based on Steel BB version.

  • Expecting good accuracy based on the steel BB version results.

  • Very affordable price at well under $100.

Cons:

  • Non-blowback and the slide is non-functioning.

  • The hammer is only for show and does not cock back for single action shots.

  • Non adjustable rear sights.

  • Trigger action is bit on the heavy side and gets a bit tiring after lots of shooting.

Comments:

For a relatively inexpensive Airsoft gun you get good value for your money, most importantly a very accurate reproduction of the real IWI Jericho 941 firearm in terms of size, looks and weight. I am hoping to get similar shooting results shooting the KWC Airsoft Model 941 as I did with my BB shooting Cybergun IWI Jericho 941 I tested a few yeas back as it was one of my highest fps BB pistols tested. So make sure to check back shortly for my Field Test Shooting Video Review for this Jericho 941 Airsoft version from KWC.

Umarex Desert Eagle and Cybergun Jericho 941 CO2 Airgun Silent Auction

I recently picked up a couple of really nice condition pre-owned Air pistols, both replicas of some IWI (Israel Weapon Industries) semi auto pistols. The biggest and baddest being a very authentic replica of the notorious Desert Eagle. This Umarex CO2 Airgun Desert Eagle shoots .177 caliber pellets using an 8 shot rotary magazine and has realistic blowback action with over 400 fps velocity. It has excellent accuracy and packs a real punch.

I also have my Cybergun Jericho 941 which again is a very believable replica of the real steel semi auto pistol, some people refer to it as the Baby Eagle. The 4.5mm BB version has a full metal slide and full size drop out metal magazine that holds the BB's and CO2.

Both guns are in like-new condition and come with the original boxes and manuals, the Desert Eagle even comes with three magazines.

To get in on the bidding, simply Email Me Here with your highest bid by no later than October 10th 2012 at midnight. At the conclusion of this Silent Auction I will notify the winner.

This Airgun Silent Auction is open to both my Canada and US customers, Canadian Customers will pay an additional $17.99 for Shipping/Handling plus their local provincial sales Tax. US Customers will pay $29.99 International Canada to US Shipping & Handling but will not pay any sales tax. Good luck to everyone!

Comments:

I ordered my Cybergun IWI Jericho 941 with two other Cybergun pistols (The Sigarms GSR and Sig Sauer SP2022), all of them in the lower and more affordable price point, the Jericho 941 is definitely the hardest shooting out of the bunch. For a relatively inexpensive BB gun you get good value for your money, most importantly a very accurate reproduction of the real IWI Jericho 941 firearm! If you want to purchase an air pistol replica that's very hard hitting, accurate, get's lots of shots per CO2, has excellent weight and realism then the Jericho 941 may be the airgun for you?

I wanted to give you a quick preview of some very nice yet inexpensive Cybergun - KWC BB guns I received today, and I am happy to say I'm also selling them in the Replica Airguns Store.

The Cybergun Air Pistols are the Sig Sauer SP2022, the Jericho 941, and the Sigarms GSR. All of which have metal slides, full size all metal drop out magazines and corresponding licensing and trademarks. Make sure to scroll down to the bottom of this preview where you will find my YouTube video Preview for these Cybergun Air Pistols.

First off is the Cybergun Sig Sauer SP2022:

This BB shooting Sig Sauer SP2022 is a metal and polymer gun with a metal slide and polymer frame just like the real steel it is licensed under. The full size drop out all metal magazine holds the 23 BB's and CO2. The Sig Sauer SP2022 shoots 4.5mm steel BB's, has a rated velocity of 328 fps, weighs in at 1.7 pounds, has a double action only trigger and is just over 7 inches long. The SP2022 is probably my favorite gun out of all of them so far!

2nd we have the Cybergun IWI Jericho 941:

The Jericho 941 is a replica of the Baby Desert Eagle and is the most powerful out of the group with a claimed velocity of 443 fps. The Jericho 941 also has a full metal slide, metal outer barrel, and full size metal drop out magazine that holds 22 4.5mm steel BB's and the CO2. The Jericho 941 weighs in at a hefty 2 pounds and is over 8 inches long with a double action only trigger. It also is claimed to get more than 200 shots out of a single CO2 cartridge!

Lastly we have the Sig Sauer GSR Sigarms:

By far the heaviest gun out of the trio, the GSR comes in at 2.4 pounds and is made almost entirely out of metal, even including the grips so if your looking for a gun that feels the part this is the one for you. The Sig Sauer GSR also has the full size drop out metal magazine like the rest of them and can hold 21 4.5mm steel BB's along with the CO2 in it. You can expect to get close to 400 fps and the 1911 styled GSR even has a true 1911 styled trigger, although it is double action only.

All three of these Cybergun - KWC value priced air pistols are available at the Replica Airguns Store so make sure to drop in and get yours today!
