Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle Field Test Review

If you are wondering why I am doing another Field Test of a Crosman AR-15 type CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle… Well why not, any excuse to play around with one of these and I will take it. You never know, even though the Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle is essentially just a re-skinned R1, what if it performs better or worse than the standard R1. I better test it out and find out for myself.

Like all my other Field Test Shooting Videos I test out the Velocity and Accuracy in the Replica Airguns Indoors Sea Can Shooting Range where I can control the temperature, wind and lighting conditions. The goal is to see if the velocity is what the manufacturer claims and what kind of groupings I can get in this case shooting 10 rounds in semi auto and the rest in full auto.

Starting with my velocity test for the Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle I shot five 4.5mm Steel BB’s through my Chronograph and was able to average 389 fps. Crosman claims a max fps of 430 which would be best case scenario in what would most likely be fairly warm shooting conditions. During my testing the temperature was not overly warm or cool, right around room temperature so around 20 degrees Celsius (70 ish degrees Fahrenheit) and I was using dual brand new CO2 Cartridges.

Next I tested out the accuracy for the Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle first shooting 10 rounds in semi auto and then dumping the rest of the magazine in full auto. Right out of the box using the iron pop-up sights I was able to get all but 1 shot in the Bulls-eye which is about 1 inch in diameter so not only is the Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle very accurate but it was really well centered out of the box in my case. Switching over to full auto the grouping spread out as expected more to around 2+ inches and placing a bit lower on the target but this is expected when shooting a blowback Airgun in full auto as it will move around a bit.

I do have to say the Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle is probably one of the best looking AR’s in the Crosman series of Full Auto BB Rifles and I am happy to report the performance was as expected since I have done several Field Test Shooting Reviews for this series of BB Rifles. No you do not get a red dot with the Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle but rather more old school iron sights but it really suits this BB Machine Gun and for me it didn’t hurt performance at all!

Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle Table Top Review

Type: BB Rifle.
Manufacturer: Crosman.
Model: R1 Fallen Patriots AR.
Materials: Metal & plastic.
Weight: 6 pounds (2.7 kilograms).
Length: 26.25 / 29.25 inches (Stock closed / extended).
Propulsion: 12 gram CO2 dual cartridges.
Action: Semi & Full Auto Blowback - single action only.
Ammunition Type: 4.5mm steel BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 25 rounds.
FPS: 430fps.
Rate of Fire: 1400 rounds per minute in full auto.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle is single action only since the charging handle must be pulled back first before you can shoot it. The trigger is short and fairly light as you would expect from an AR type trigger action. The real fun happens with the Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle when you switch it over to full auto mode and with just one pull and hold of the trigger you empty the 25 round magazine in mere seconds.

Accuracy: I have not Filed Test Reviewed the Fallen Patriot version of the R1 just yet but you checkout my Filed Test Shooting Video for the Crosman R1 Regular Version where I test out it using my Chronograph and I get an average of 385 fps and a nice 30 foot grouping of right around 1 inch in semi out and a decently tight full auto group of about 3-4 inches.

Build Quality: The Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle as with all the Crosman AR type BB Machine Guns is well made all around. Weighing in at 6 pounds without any add on accessories it feels solid and well built. There is a lot of metal going on inside and out of this rifle but keep in mind the top and bottom receiver are plastic with metal parts where they need to be like in the internals, pretty much all the working parts are metal, the magazine is full metal, the buffer tub is metal, charging handle, selector switch, magazine release, bolt release, trigger and of course the barrel is metal.

Realism: The Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle is about as real as you are going to find in a CO2 Blowback AR/M4 styled Airgun. You can even take it apart and split the top and bottom receivers like the real steal version. The blowback action gives you some recoil but more importantly offers a true single action trigger and of course the full auto ability we all want and love. Almost all the working parts work like they would on a real AR/M4 other than the forward assist which is moulded into the receiver.

Pros:

  • Color scheme is awesome looking.

  • Super realistic working M4/AR 4.5mm BB Rifle just like the otters Crosman Rifles in this lineup.

  • Full blowback operation with both semi and full auto shooting, can feel the blowback operation rocking the gun.

  • Great weight and feel to it.

  • Almost everything works exactly like the real steel version. (Charging handle, dust cover, bolt release, magazine release, selector switch…)

  • Duel CO2 full metal drop out magazine that holds the 25 4.5mm steel BB’s as well.

  • Adjustable and customizable AR butt stock.

  • Included iron pop-up sights you can add a red dot sight on rail if you want to but looks classic without it..

  • Lots of rails for mounting additional cool hardware.

  • Removable flash hider that uses standard threading.

Cons:

  • Receiver is plastic but well made and does not compromise feel or weight since there is lots of metal throughout this gun.

  • No red dot included with this version.

Comments:

The Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle is really pretty much the same as the Standard Version Crosman R1 with really only cosmetic color scheme changes. That said these cosmetic changes make it look awesome and in my books this is the nicest looking Crosman AR Series Full Auto BB Gun so far. I even like the fact that it comes with Iron Sights over a Red Dot. Typically I prefer a Red Dot as I find them easier to shoot with but on this version the iron sights really suit it and give it a more classic AR look to it. If you want you can easily add a Red Dot sight so do what every makes you happy.

Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots - BARRA 400e Preview Unboxing Video

In this Preview Unboxing Video I take a look at two full auto BB Machine guns but both very different and both from two separate companies. One is traditionally CO2 operated and the other is AEG operated which is a very new concept for a 4.5mm Steel BB Airgun. I have always wondered why nobody had attempted an AEG 4.5mm Steel BB gun before so here we have the first one to be released…

Starting with the Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Full Auto CO2 BB Rifle it is essential a re-skinned R1 with a very unique coloration and of course the Fallen Patriots markings on it. The main receiver is a gun metal grey with black and red accents throughout and a purple-blue magazine. It really is stunning to look at and perhaps my favorite Crosman AR series Full Auto BB Gun to date. You do get pop-up Iron sights rather than a red dot which I feel suits this Airgun best and everything else in terms of specifications will be the same as the R1 so check that rifle out for more info.

Now the BARRA 400e is really something new to Steel BB Guns, basically it steals the AEG (Automatic Electric Gun) from what is typically reserved for Airsoft Rifles. I have always wondered why this technology has never been transferred over to 4.5mm Steel BB Airguns? Well now it has with the BARRA 400e Full Auto AEG BB Rifle. According to BARRA you can export to get around 410 fps and that should be super consistent since there is no CO2 cool down effect. You can also shoot in semi or full auto and it has a 50 round magazine that comes with a speed loader for easy loading. Another point to mention is that the BARRA 400e is almost all metal and feels really solid.

Crosman ST-1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto Steel BB Machine Gun Field Test Review

In this Field Test Shooting Video Review I test out the brand new Crosman ST-1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto Steel BB Machine Gun in the Replica Airguns Indoor Airgun Range Sea Can to see what the actual velocity is along with accuracy. I first test fps using my Chronograph and I perform this test with and without the barrel extension to see how much the additional barrel length will increase velocity. I also shot the Crosman ST-1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto Steel BB Machine Gun in both semi auto shooting 10 rounds into my paper target setup 30 feet down range and then I perform a full auto 25 round magazine dump to see if the grouping expands or not.

Staring with the velocity test I did use brand new CO2 for this and the temperature was around 20 degrees Celsius or 68 Fahrenheit so not too cold or warm. With the Barrel extension installed I managed to average 418 fps shooting 4 rounds. With the barrel extension removed as expected the velocity did drop a bit down to 373 fps shooting 4 rounds and averaged out.

For my Accuracy Test I placed the Crosman ST-1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto Steel BB Machine Gun in semi auto for the first portion and fired 10 shots into the paper target setup 30 feet away, I was using a semi rested shooting position with a sand bag up front to rest the gun on and me sitting on a stool in the back. I did not sight the red dot in and found that out of the box the Crosman ST-1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto Steel BB Machine Gun shot down and too the right a fair amount but at least I was able to get most of the shots on the paper target and on camera. The grouping was around 2.5 to 3 inches so not super great but not bad either.

I then flicked the main selector to Full Auto since this is what most people want to see. I also reloaded the magazine with 25 rounds from the onboard hopper and unloaded the full magazine in a second or two. I did aim a bit higher and to the left this time to get the shots closer to the bullseye and I was able to do so with most of the 25 shots all within about 2.5 to 3 inches so not really any difference shooting in semi or full auto at least in terms of accuracy.

As I mention before in my Tabel Top Review for the Crosman ST-1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto Steel BB Machine Gun, it is a bit different looking and for me took a bit of getting use to but the good news is that it performs about the same as the other Crosman CO2 Full Auto Blowback BB Rifles in this similar lineup so if you like the look then don’t be afraid to pick one up over on our Canada or US replica Airgun Stores.

Crosman ST-1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto Steel BB Machine Gun Table Top Review

Type: BB Rifle.
Manufacturer: Crosman.
Model: ST-1.
Materials: Metal & plastic.
Weight: 6.07 pounds (2.75 kilograms).
Total Length: 17.75/33 inches (Pistol/Rifle).
Barrel Length: 15.5 inches.
Propulsion: 12 gram CO2 dual cartridges.
Action: Blowback - single action only.
Ammunition Type: 4.5mm steel BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 25 Round/Spring - 300 Round/Hopper.
FPS: 480fps.
Rate of Fire: 1400 rounds per minute in full auto

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Crosman ST-1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto Steel BB Machine Gun is single action only since the right side charging handle must be cocked first before you can shoot it to engage the action. The trigger is short and fairly light but not overly light. The real fun happens with the Crosman ST-1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto Steel BB Machine Gun when you switch it over to full auto mode and with just one pull and hold of the trigger you empty the 25 round magazine in a mere matter of seconds at 1400 rounds per minute.

Accuracy: I have not actually shot this BB Rifle to date but expect it to get similar results to the other Crosman Full Auto BB Machine guns I have already reviewed. I am expecting a bit more velocity with the longer barrel extension installed and would be happy if I was able to get in the mid 400’s. Accuracy should also be about the same with 1 inch semi auto groups from 30 feet out expending a bit when in full auto.

Build Quality: The Crosman ST-1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto Steel BB Machine Gun is well made all around. Weighing in at 6.07 pounds without any add on accessories other than the included compact Red Dot sight. It feels solid and well built.

Realism: The Crosman ST-1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto Steel BB Machine Gun is not modeled after any real steel gun I know of. It resembles a futuristic weapon you would see in a SciFi Action Movie or Alien First Person Shooter. I was not a fan of it when it was first released by Crosman but after seeing and holding it in person it is growing on me quickly.

Pros:

  • Very unique, not like your regular Replica Rifles, very futuristic in design.

  • Drop out magazine doubles as the 300 round hopper and holds CO2 and BB’s.

  • Comes with Red Dot Sight and lots of rails for mounting what every you want on it.

  • Can be either a Pistol or Rifle or a PDW by adding or removing the Barrel Extension and Rear Stock.

  • Barrel Extension actual lengthens the barrel and should increase fps, not just for show!

  • Tactile comfortable rubber padding in multiple locations.

  • Semi auto and full Auto selectable.

  • Expected higher fps of up to 480.

Cons:

  • Some people may not like the look? Not like your normal modern rifle.

  • Front rubber grip comes off really easy at least on mine?

  • Will require barrel extension for full velocity.

Comments:

The Crosman ST-1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto Steel BB Machine Gun is a brave move by Crosman, I was not expecting something like this from them and when I originally saw it I was not sure if it was a good idea or not but again once seeing it in person and actually holing it I feel a lot better about it. It will for sure appeal to those looking for a futuristic Airgun or wanting something that looks like a gun from a video game or SciFi movie. I also like the versatility you have with the Crosman ST-1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto Steel BB Machine Gun being able to configure it how you like either as a Pistol, full on Rifle or PDW style shooter.

Replica Airguns Huge Mystery Box Unboxing

As the title suggest this a video about a Huge Mystery Box so I am not going to say what’s in it, I can say that their are 4 main products mostly rifles per-say. One is a Futuristic Full Auto BB Rifle, one is a Paintball Shotgun, One is an AEG Airsoft Rifle and one is a Replica Break Barrel Pellet Rifle.

So I have a lot of variety here to show everyone! I did absolutely zero research on any of the products I show in this video since like you I had no real idea what was inside other than how many and that most where rifle based.

Enjoy finding out what new products I will be reviewing over the next month with dedicated Table Top and Field Test Shooting videos.

BB Versus Airsoft Full Auto Fun Video 2 AK

I have another Full Auto Fun Video this one focusing on 4.5mm Steel BB Versus 6mm Plastic and which one is better in terms of accuracy and shredding power. I perform this super scientific test by shooting obviously in full auto two comparable Steel BB and Plastic Airsoft Rifles at a paper target setup 20 feet away with a magazine as a backer so I can see what the accuracy is like and how much of the paper magazine gets shredded by each ammo being tested.

I have split this video into three separate videos, in video one I compare two similar AR styled rifles, a CO2 powered Blowback 4.5mm BB Rifle to a Gas Blowback 6mm Airsoft Rifle. In video two I compare two AK type Blowback Rifles to each otters, again a CO2 4.5mm Steel BB along with a Gas 6mm Airsoft.

And lastly in Video three I compare my top picks for each category which include a non-Blowback CO2 4.5mm BB Machine gun to an AEG 6mm Airsoft Rifle.

In this video (Video Two) the Airguns being used are the Crosman AK1 CO2 Blowback BB and the WE AK74 UN GBB AIrsoft.

This is Video 2 of the Full Auto Fun 2022 video series where I shoot my Crosman AK1 Duel CO2 Full Auto BB Machine Gun at some water filled cans and a paper gel target just for some good old fun times! In Video 1 which is already posted, I tested out the Crosman A4-P Duel CO2 Full Auto BB Gun. Full Auto Fun 2022 Video 1 Crosman A4-P

In this years 2022 Full Auto Fun Video series I take three Full auto Airguns outside in the yard and have some fun with them shooting at water filled cans and a gel target. I picked two Full Auto CO2 4.5mm Steel BB Guns from Crosman, the A4-P AR-15 Pistol and the AK1 Rifle which is a modernized AK 47. The Crosman A4-P representing my most compact entry with the Crosman AK1 representing my mid size entry even though it is fairly large. I end this series with the Air Ordnance SMG .22 which is a PCP powered Full Auto .22 Caliber Pellet Machine Gun and yes this represents my large or at least most powerful choice for this years 2022 Full Auto Fun Video.

In this video, (Video 1 of the series) I have some Full Auto Fun with the Crosman A4-P, watch and enjoy along with me as I place 100 rounds down range ripping up some water filled cans and putting holes in my gel target.

Crosman A4-P CO2 Blowback BB Machine Gun Field Test Review

Yet another Field test Shooting review for the Crosman AR line of CO2 BB Blowback Full Auto Machine Guns. Today I test out the Pistol version or A4-P model. Basically this is the same BB Gun mechanically as all the other Crosman AR’s but with some cosmetic differences which can affect power and accuracy a bit. And that would be a slightly shorter barrel which can reduce velocity and the lack of a but stock for less stability.

As always I first test out the power or velocity for the Crosman A4-P CO2 Blowback BB Machine Gun, I always use brand new CO2 and make sure the temperature is not too cold in the Replica Airguns Sea Can. Crosman claims around 400+ fps for the Crosman A4-P CO2 Blowback BB Machine Gun and in my Chronograph test I was able to get a 5 shot average of 357 fps. The temperature was not super warm so I would expect on a hot summer day to get closer to 400 fps so pretty close.

I then proceeded to see what kind of accuracy I could get from the Crosman A4-P CO2 Blowback BB Machine Gun shooting 10 rounds in semi auto at a paper target setup 30 feet down range. I use a stabilized shooting position with the Airgun resting on a sand bag up front and me sitting on a stool in the back so the lack of a stock was not a huge drawback here. Regular stand up shooting and not being able to shoulder this Airgun as easily will mean a difference for sure. In semi auto mode with 10 rounds I was able to get around a 2 inch group but I would say this BB Machine gun should get closer to a 1 inch grouping as 8 out of the 10 rounds where all within 1 inch of each other so perhaps some human error on my part was at play here. Just for fun I unloaded the last 15 rounds in full auto on the unsuspecting target and as expected the grouping widened to around 4-5 inches.

Personally I prefer the Crosman AR Full Auto BB guns with a rear stock for that added extended shoulder support but the Crosman A4-P CO2 Blowback BB Machine Gun will fit much better into a back pack if you want to take it out in the woods for some shooting fun. Not everyone has a proper backyard or indoor range to use! the Crosman A4-P CO2 Blowback BB Machine Gun is also one of the coolest looking in this lineup so that has to count for something ;) I wonder what Crosman has planned for their line of Full Auto BB Machine guns now that they have several AR versions and even the AK1. Maybe an MP5 or a SCAR?

Umarex Ruger Mark IV - Action Army AAP-01 - Bear Desire XL - Crosman A4-P - Air Venturi Avenger Preview

In this Preview Unboxing Vimeo Video I take a look at five very different products! A Spring Piston .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol, an Airsoft GBB Pistol, a Compact Crossbow, a full auto CO2 Blowback BB Pistol and a PPC .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle.

First up is the Umarex Ruger Mark IV Spring Piston Pellet Pistol which is a single shot replica pellet pistol that shoots .177 caliber pellets at up to 320 fps using a spring piston break barrel system. The Umarex Ruger Mark IV Spring Piston Pellet Pistol is a target plinker with fully adjustable fiber optic sights and should be a lot of fun to shoot!

Next I take a look at a Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistol from Action Army that closely resembles the Ruger Mark IV pistol with perhaps a more compact look. The Action Army AAP-01 GBB Airsoft Pistol is full blowback a full size drop out magazine and fiber optic sights. It also come with a threaded barrel and barrel extension for adding a longer barrel and much suppressor.

Next on my list of new items is the Bear X Desire XL Crossbow which is a 2.2 pound compact bolt shooting crossbow that sports a rail system with included adjustable iron sights that also allow for a red dot if you want to really customize it. The Bear X Desire XL Crossbow has a 60 pound draw and shoots arrows/bolts at up to 175 fps.

Another AR BB Rifle/Pistol from Crosman is the Crosman A4-P Full Auto CO2 BB Pistol which is essentially a pistol version of the AR Platform. If you like the Crosman DPMS SBR, R1, PDW then you will probably also like the Crosman AP-4. Like the others it uses dual CO2’s and shoots 4.5mm Steel BB;s in semi or full auto at 1400 rounds per minute until the 25 round magazine is empty.

Last included in this preview video is the Air Venturi Avenger Regulated PCP Pellet Rifle. I’m a bit uncertain about this one as I am pretty sure it is the non detuned PAL version that requires a firearms license here in Canada as it shoots at full velocity (.22 caliber pellet at 950 fps). If that’s the case then it will not be available in our Canada Replica Airguns Store but may be available in the US Replica Airguns Store. If it is the detuned version or a detuned version becomes available in Canada then I imagine we will at some point have it in the Canada replica Airguns Store. That said the Air Venturi Avenger Regulated PCP Pellet Rifle uses compressed air and shoots either .177. .22 or .25 caliber pellets using a latch system and rotary magazine.

Back in 2017 I made “Which Beretta Airgun is the Best” Video and showed off some 4.5mm Steel BB and .177 Caliber Pellet versions of my favorite Beretta 92 - M9 style Air Pistols. There have been some changes since then most noticeably the addition to Airsoft versions so I thought I would update this video with more current Beretta Airguns along with of course some of the same ones form my last video.

Because I show off 4.5mm Steel BB, .177 Caliber Pellet and 6mm Plastic Airsoft versions I decided to pick my favorites form each category. Watch my Vimeo Review Comparison Video so checkout these Air Pistols and see which ones are my favorites…

Crosman MAKO Blowback CO2 BB Pistol Table Top Review

Type: BB Air pistol.
Distributer: Crosman.
Model: MAKO.
Materials: Metal and polymer build.
Weight: 1.71 pounds (775 grams).
Barrel: 6 inches, non-rifled.
Total Length: 8.6 inches
Propulsion: CO2 x1.
Action: Semi auto blowback, double action only.
Ammunition Type: 4.5mm Steel BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 20 rounds.
FPS: 425.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Crosman MAKO Blowback CO2 BB Pistol is a little on the heavy side since it is double action only and it is also longer again being double action only. That said it is fairly smooth and not super heavy which shoudl allow for decent action shooting. It would have been cane if the hammer could be engaged for single action shooting but the design of the Crosman MAKO Blowback CO2 BB Pistol does not allow for this and therefore the hammer is just for show in this case.

Accuracy: I have performed my Field Test Shooting Video for the Crosman MAKO Blowback CO2 BB Pistol which can be found here. I won’t get into too much detail but overall you can expect velocity to be in the 400 fps range with a brand new CO2 and accuracy was decent form 30 feet away but could be a bit tighter. I was surprised at how snappy the blowback action was for a light weight slide with a light spring in it.

Build Quality: The Crosman MAKO Blowback CO2 BB Pistol feels solid enough in the hand and the materials used I am sure are on par with most Airguns out there but the gun may come across as being on the cheaper side as it lacks some of the more full features of more realistic functioning blowback Airguns. Just don’t let that make you think it is not well made as it is well made and may even be more reliable over time..

Realism: The Crosman MAKO Blowback CO2 BB Pistol looks the part of a beretta M92 at first glance but when you get a little closer you can really tell it is an Airgun at heart which is not a bad thing since that’s exactly what it is. You will find working parts like the magazine release and slide catch release and the slide does function since it is a blowback Airguns but the Crosman MAKO Blowback CO2 BB Pistol does have that funny inner barrel that pops out of the front every time you pull the trigger and parts like the slide safety are moulded into the slide and the hammer is just for show.

Pros:

  • Fairly inexpensive.

  • High FPS rating for a blowback BB pistol.

  • Easy to see Fiber Optic front and rear sights.

  • Multi tone color scheme looks good.

  • Has a pleasing tactic look to it.

  • CO2 tab is nicely hidden inside grip under magazine but plate.

  • Double action trigger pull is long but not too firm.

  • Picatinny rail for adding accessories.

  • Notched grips for a firm hold (best for larger hands)

  • Has a working side catch release that locks back after the last shot.

  • Has a surprising decent blowback action to it.

Cons:

  • Slide action feels clanky.

  • Hammer is just for show, does not do anything, no single action shooting ability.

  • Grips are large and will be to bog for smaller hands.

Comments:
All in all the Crosman MAKO Blowback CO2 BB Pistol is a fun inexpensive CO2 Blowback BB Pistol that surprised me a bit when I actual got to shoot it. I originally though ti would feel kind of cheap to shoot but the snappy and firm blowback action and higher fps than usually found on blowback Airguns was surprising! The fiber optic sights making lining up target super easy and for a double action only shooter the trigger is not too bad so if you're a Beretta and Crosman fan then perhaps this is the pistol for you.

Crosman MAKO Blowback CO2 BB Pistol Field Test Review

In this Field Test Review Video I test out the performance of the Crosman MAKO Blowback CO2 BB Pistol to see what the real world velocity and accuracy is for this Crosman Blowback BB Pistol. Crosman States 425 fps which is fairly high for a Blowback Airgun so we’ll see if I can get close to it!

Starting with my Velocity Test, I place 5 rounds through my Chronograph using a brand new CO2 with Daisy Zinc coated 5.1 grain Steel BB’s and averaged 390 fps withy the fastest shot hitting 403 fps and the slowest shot going down to 384 fps. It was not super warm in the sea can so I imagine with a bit warmer temperature this number would have been a little bit higher, maybe just up and over 400 which is still impressive for a blowback BB Pistol.

Moving on to my accuracy test, I placed 11 shots (meant to shoot 10) on a fresh paper target 30 feet down range and was able to get all shots within about a 3 inch grouping slightly low and to the left of the bullseye but not far off. I was shooting from a seated position with my hands resting on a sand bag for stability but of course some human factor is involved here.

Overall the Crosman MAKO Blowback CO2 BB Pistol performed decent for a fairly low cost and basic Blowback Airgun. The Blowback action is crisp with a long but not super heavy trigger. I like the fiber optic sights that make lining targets up super easy on virtually any background you are shooting on. This Airgun does have a large grip so keep that in mind if you have smaller hands but other than that it is a really fun Airguns to shoot!

Crosman Night Stalker CO2 Blowback BB Pistol with Laser Table Top Review

Type: Blowback BB Pistol
Manufacturer: Crosman
Model: Night Stalker
Materials: Metal and Plastic.
Weight: 1.6 pounds (726 grams).
Barrel: 4.75 inches rifled.
Length: 7 inches.
Propulsion: CO2 x 1
Action: Blowback , single action only trigger.
Ammunition Type: 4.5mm Steel BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 20 Rounds.
FPS: 420.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Crosman Night Stalker CO2 Blowback BB Pistol with Laser is single action only and therefor is fairly light in general. It does have a longer take-up then most single action only triggers but has a predictable and crisp release to it. You will need to rack the slide for the first shot in order to pre-cock the hammer but then the blowback action takes over this process for you.

Accuracy: I actually have performed my Field Test Shooting Video for the Crosman Night Stalker CO2 Blowback BB Pistol with Laser and in terms of power I did manage to get really close to the claimed 420 fps with my results being 405 in medium warm temperatures. Accuracy was not as goods as I was hoping for with a 10 shot grouping of around 3 inches. It would have been nice to get closer to a 2 inch grouping. The laser will need to be adjusted out of the box to line up the aim point with the shot placement.

Build Quality: The build quality for the Crosman Night Stalker CO2 Blowback BB Pistol with Laser is good overall, the Airgun feels really solid in the hand and even though it is not super heavy it is also not a large Airguns so it feels solid enough being mostly made out of metal. You will find it has a metal slide, frame, trigger, hammer and also the stick magazine giving the Crosman Night Stalker CO2 Blowback BB Pistol with Laser a nice balance to it. Fit and finish is also good with only a little bit of slide wiggle.

Realism: The Crosman Night Stalker CO2 Blowback BB Pistol with Laser is not an exact replace of any real steel gun in production that I know of but it does kind of look like a larger Walther PPK that is a bit more squared off and modernized. I would say closer in size to a Makarov which also has some PPK looking traits to it. The blowback operation does also help in terms of realism but it is very snappy and quick, almost too fast for the eye to see.

Pros:

  • Pretty much all metal gun feels good in the hand.

  • Snappy blowback operation.

  • Decent single action trigger (has a bit of take-up but fairly light release).

  • Comes with integrated laser which is easy to sight in using the supplied Allen key.

  • Stick mag is all metal with good weight to it.

  • Laser does not impede the rail so you can still add on accessories..

  • White dot sight on the back sight.

Cons:

  • Sights are not adjustable but laser is.

  • Blowback feel is very slight.

  • CO2 tab is slightly exposed.

  • Stick mag rather than full size magazine.

Comments:
I do really like the look and feel of the Crosman Night Stalker CO2 Blowback BB Pistol with Laser, it has a nice size and weight to it and balances nicely in the hand. The integrated laser keeps this airguns streamline and even allows for the addition of a tac light or other rail accessory to be added. Blowbacks action is slight but does allow for single action only trigger which makes it lighter than a double action trigger and more responsive for action shooting. The Velocity is up and into the 400 fps range which is good for a blowback CO2 BB Pistol, I would just like to see the accuracy tighten up a little bit but perhaps my test results could be improved with more trigger time using the Crosman Night Stalker CO2 Blowback BB Pistol.

Crosman Night Stalker CO2 Blowback BB Pistol with Laser Field Test Review

At SHOT Show 2019 Crosman rolled out their new CO2 Blowback BB Pistol called the Night Stalker. Not be confused with their CO2 Rotary Magazine Pellet Rifle also named the “NightStalker” which was discontinued a while back. Today I actually got my hands on one of Crosman’s pistol version Night Stalkers and so I took out through its paces in the Sea Can Replica Airguns Shooting Range to see how well it performs…

Starting with the velocity, Crosman claims 420 fps which perhaps seems a bit high for a blowback CO2 Pistol but my test results yielded very close to that claim with a five shot storing averaging 405 fps in medium warm testing conditions so in a bit hotter environments 420 fps is for sure possible at least on a brand new fresh CO2. The blowback action is incredible fast and snappy, you almost can’t even see it happening but you can feel it for sure. I was even getting some blasts of CO2 coming back at me so the Crosman Night Stalker CO2 Blowback BB Pistol seems to be dumping a fair amount of CO2 with each shot.

For the accuracy portion of my test I of course wanted to use the built in guide rod based laser, out of the box the laser was point rather low and to the right at least when I lined tings up with the iron sights. A quick Allen key adjustment and I was able to line up the laser exactly with where the Crosman Night Stalker CO2 Blowback BB Pistols iron sights where pointing. Unfortunately the Crosman Night Stalker CO2 Blowback BB Pistol shoots rather low so in hind sight I would want the laser to actually be pouting under the iron sight point in order to bring up the Steel BB’s about 56 inches or so to line up with the bullseye. Not a problem as a quick Allen Key adjustment and I can point the red dot anywhere I want it to go. I was able to get about a 3 inch 10 shot grouping that spread out more left to right rather than up and down.

The Crosman Night Stalker CO2 Blowback BB Pistol is a really nice looking Airgun, kind of like a bully Walther PPK, I like the built in guide rod laser that still allows for the use of the Picatinny rail for adding in a tac light. With a little bit of laser adjustment and practice I am sure the Crosman Night Stalker CO2 Blowback BB Pistol would, be more than accurate enough for back yard planning at 20-40 feet away.

Crosman P1 Taurus PT-92 CO2 Blowback Full Auto BB Pistol with Laser Field Test Review

I was hoping this Field Test Shooting Video would go off without a hitch but I did stubble with the laser a bit, I like to shoot guns straight out of the box without really sighting them in but in the case of an add on laser I was expecting to do some sight adjustments. To my surprise when I placed the laser on the Crosman P1 Taurus PT-92 CO2 Blowback Full Auto BB Pistol the laser red dot lined up almost perfectly with the open sights. Sounds great but during my actual test it seems that the heavy blowback action may have nocked the laser sight around placing the laser red dot way to high making the Crosman P1 Taurus PT-92 CO2 Blowback Full Auto BB Pistol shoot really low for this test. I did figure it out via some trial and error and was able to pull off this Field Test Shooting Review in the end for everyone…

Starting with the Chronograph portion of the Field Test Shooting Video, I placed 5 shots through my Chrony and was able to get an average fps of 315. The temperature was not really cold or hot so on a warmer day I would expect around 330 to 340 fps. I did accidentally shoot off around 5 rounds in full auto at the beginning which may have effected the first couple of higher velocity shots that come out when you are using a new CO2 but there results I got I was happy with and give a more realistic velocity fo the Crosman P1 Taurus PT-92 CO2 Blowback Full Auto BB Pistol.

Next I placed 10 rounds into my paper target setup 30 feet down range and did my best to get them on the paper, as mentioned I had to figure out exactly where the laser red dot was pointing in relation to where the BB’s where hitting and once I figured this out I was able to get 10 rounds all within about 2 inches of each other so not bad for a Blowback CO2 BB Pistol. of course the included Laser Sight is adjustable for windage and elevation so I could line up the laser red dot with the actual shot placement which is something you can not do with the non adjustable open sights.

All in all the Crosman P1 Taurus PT-92 CO2 Blowback Full Auto BB Pistol with Laser performed much like all the other KWC PT92 CO2 Blowback Beretta/Taurus type Airguns, the laser red dot simply allows for a more visual and perhaps faster way to place BB’s on your target, at least once you get it sighted in of course!
