G&G Piranha SL GBB Airsoft Pistol Table Top Review

Type: Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistol.
Manufacturer: G&G
Model: Piranha SL
Materials: Metal & Polymer.
Weight: 1.85 pounds (838 grams).
Length: 10.3 inches (262mm) total.
Barrel: 5.6 inches (142.5mm), Metal non-rifled smooth bore.
Propulsion: Green gas or propane.
Action: Blowback, single action only.
Ammunition Type: 6mm plastic Airsoft BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 20/25rounds.
FPS: 370+ fps.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the G&G Piranha SL GBB Airsoft Pistol is typical single action only with a super easy short take up (some of which is the trigger safety engaging), followed by a crisp predictable light release. The quick slide cycle allows for some quick semi auto shooting with the G&G Piranha SL GBB Airsoft Pistol making it a great fast action shooter with quick target acquisition.

Accuracy: I have not done my actual Field Test Shooting video review for the G&G Piranha SL GBB Airsoft Pistol but I expect it to perform similar to the G&G Piranha MK I and TR GBB Airsoft Pistol I made a Field Test Shooting Video for earlier and shoot consistently in the mid to high 300 fps with a 10 round grouping around 1-2 inches. Stay posted for my Field Test Shooting Video where I will confirm these predictions…

Build Quality: Like pretty much all G&G Airsoft guns including the Piranha series, the G&G Piranha SL GBB Airsoft Pistol build quality is really good. Fit and finish are excellent with virtually zero slide wiggle, I like the two tone stainless slide and chrome finish barrel version but the all black looks really good too. As with the entire Piranha line, the SL also has an updated Ceramic Whirl Cylinder Valve technology from G&G that should significantly help with freezing in colder or fast shooting situations along with a new Hop-up system you can easily adjust without taking the Airsoft gun apart by using the bullet shaped tool.

Realism: The G&G Piranha SL GBB Airsoft Pistol as far as I can determines not an exact replica of any specific real steel gun in production but it does share its looks and feel to that of the Glock but perhaps with an even more modernized look to it. Of course the SL version is elongates. You will find realistic function to the G&G Piranha SL GBB Airsoft Pistoling terms of it’s operation with its full blowback action, working slide catch release, magazine release trigger safety and takedown lever allowing for it to be field stripped easily.

Pros:

  • Good balance of metal and plastic for a balanced and light feel.

  • Partial slide Blowback operation should allow for even better gas performance and snappy operation.

  • Fiber optic sights front and back for easy target acquisition.

  • Has a working trigger safety.

  • Smaller grips perfect for people with smaller hands. Larger hands work just fine too!

  • Comes in a well presented soft foam form fitted box case.

  • New Hop-up system for quick and easy fine adjustments with no need to field strip the gun.

  • Long bottom rail for adding accessories.

  • Comes in all black and two tone black and sliver.

  • Comes with two magazines (20 round short and 25 round extended with fake bullets)

  • Comes with high quality speed loader.

  • Threaded barrel tip for add on mock suppressor if you want to.

Cons:

  • Sights are non adjustable.

  • Not an actual replica of any specific gun I know of but does share some Glock attributes.

  • Wish the extended mag held more rounds?

  • I like the hard shell case better that comes with the other Piranha versions.

Comments:

The G&G Piranha SL GBB Airsoft Pistol is for sure the flashiest version of the Piranha series of G&G Airsoft Pistols with its extended barrel and extended magazine with the fake bullets. I also imagine the extra barrel length will add some addition fps to the velocity and we will find out when I make my Field Test Shooting Video for it shortly. I am hoping the extended magazine holds more than an addition 5 rounds but again we are going to find out in my my Field Test Video so be sure to watch that one! If you don’t mind the additional bulk of the G&G Piranha SL GBB Airsoft Pistol over the MK 1 and TR than you will get an extra magazine and I a bit higher velocity.

G&G Piranha MK I & TR GBB Airsoft Pistol Field Test Review

In this Field Test Shooting Video I test out the G&G Piranha MK I & TR GBB Airsoft Pistols in the Replica Airguns Indoor Sea Can Airgun Shooting Range to see what the real world performance is for these very similar Airsoft Pistols. I first place 5 rounds through my Chronograph for each Airsoft Gun using .25 gram Airsoft BB’s with fully gassed up magazines to find out what the actual fps velocity is. I then shoot 10 rounds from a seated and rested shooting position into fresh paper targets setup 30 feet down range to see just what we can expect in terms of accuracy from the G&G Piranha series.

Starting with my Chronograph test, a placed 5 rounds through my Chronograph with both the G&G Piranha MK I and G&G Piranha TR GBB Airsoft Pistols. Technically they should have performed nearly identical but not all guns are setup exactly the same out of the box and so the G&G Piranha MK I GBB Airsoft Pistol did shoot a bit hotter than the G&G Piranha & TR GBB Airsoft Pistol averaging 290 fps versus 257 fps. As a quick test I placed the magazine from the MK I into the TR and the G&G Piranha TR GBB Airsoft Pistol did shoot much hotter and very close to the G&G Piranha MK resultsI. I would assume the valves in these magazines where perhaps not letting out the same amount of Gas hence the difference in velocity. The velocity was well under the claimed 370+but I was using slightly heavier BB’s and it was a little cold in the Sea Can on this testing day, not quite room temperature. Around 19 degrees Celsius or 66 degrees Fahrenheit.

Moving onto the accuracy testing for the G&G Piranha MK I & TR GBB Airsoft Pistols, they performed pretty well shooting 10 round 2 inch groupings with both Airsoft Pistols shooting on the money vertically while the G&G Piranha MK I shot a bit to the left and the G&G Piranha TR shooting well centered all around.

All in both of the G&G Piranha MK I & TR GBB Airsoft Pistols performed good for me, I would have liked to have seen the fps higher since both guns where well under the claimed 370+ fps but for close quarter shooting you should have no problem with either of them and again maybe your magazine will shoot a bit hotter than mine did. The partial blowback action is snappy and quick with just enough recoil action to give that realistic shooting experience. The triggers on the G&G Piranha MK I & TR GBB Airsoft Pistols are really nice allowing for quick tight followup shots and again if you like the look and feel of a Glock but perhaps want something a bit more unique then you will want to consider one of the G&G Piranha series Airsoft Pistols know doubt.

G&G GPM92 GP2 GBB Airsoft Pistol Table Top Review

Type: Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistol.
Manufacturer: G&G
Model: GPM92 GP2
Materials: Metal slide & frame, real wood grips.
Weight: 2.3 pounds (1040 grams).
Length: 8.9 inches total
Barrel: 4.6 inches, Metal non-rifled smooth bore.
Propulsion: Green gas or propane.
Action: Blowback, single and double action.
Ammunition Type: 6mm plastic Airsoft BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 28rounds.
FPS: 366+ fps.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the G&G GPM92 GP2 GBB Airsoft Pistol is very good in both single and double action. Double action is a bit longer but not that much heavier when shooting in single action. Single action shooting is short, light and crisp as you would expect when shooting a real steel Beretta 92 style pistol.

Accuracy: I have not done my actual Field Test Shooting video review for the G&G GPM92 GP2 GBB Airsoft Pistol but it should perform similar to my earlier review of the G&G GPM92 GBB Airsoft Pistol where it performed fairly well shooting in the mid 300 fps with a nice under 1 inch 10 round shot placement for 30 feet down range.

Build Quality: Like pretty much all G&G Airsoft guns, the G&G GPM92 GP2 GBB Airsoft Pistol build quality is right inline. Fit and finish where excellent and a lot of attention to detail was seen all over this Replica Airsoft Pistol. It also has an updated Ceramic Whirl Cylinder Valve technology from G&G that should significantly help with freezing in colder or fast shooting situations along with a new Hop-up system you can easily adjust without taking the Airsoft gun apart.

Realism: The G&G GPM92 GP2 GBB Airsoft Pistol is an excellent replica of the real steel Beretta Mod. 92FS, the safety even acts as a working de-cocker. You'll also find 5, 10, and 15 numbered markings on the backside of the magazine that would normally indicate how many bullets are in the magazine, a nice touch for sure! Everything works pretty much the same as it would on a real Beretta M9 including the ability to fully field strip the G&G GPM92 GP2 GBB Airsoft Pistol. I like the addition of th real wood grips that are a bit thicker than the plastic ones but if you ahed decent sized hands this shoudl not be a problem for you.

Available in the: Replica Airguns Store

Pros:

  • Lots of metal and good overall weight.

  • Pretty heavy Blowback operation.

  • Ceramic Whirl Cylinder Valve should expect to get decent amount of shots per green gas fill.

  • White dot sights front and back.

  • Nice real wood grips.

  • Comes with hard shell case.

  • New Hop-up system for quick and easy fine adjustments with no need to field strip the gun.

  • 20mm Rail for accessories.

  • comes in three different color schemes. Black, Silver, Gold.

  • Comes with high quality speed loader

  • Safety also works as a de-cocker.

  • Threaded removable barrel tip for add on mock suppressor.

Cons:

  • Sights are non adjustable.

  • Wood grips make the grips a bit thicker than plastic grips.

  • Price does go up especially if yo want the silver or gold version.

Comments:

I would have to say the new G&G GPM92 GP2 is one of the nicest Beretta Model 92FS Airsoft Pistols you are going to find out there, even a step up over the previous GPM92 model. There is a ton of attention to detail for sure, You also get the hard shell case with included high quality speed loader and G&G's updated Ceramic Valve and Revolutionary Whirl Cylinder Valve that help with freeze-up issues. It’s also nice that you no longer are required to filed strip the G&G GPM92 GP2 GBB Airsoft Pistol in order to adjust hop-up and the real wood grips just really finish off this quality product from G&G.

G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol Table Top Review

Type: Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistol.
Manufacturer: G&G
Model: GPM1911
Materials: Metal slide, frame & Magazine.
Weight: 2.25 pounds (1020 grams).
Length: 8.66 inches (22.0 cm) total.
Barrel: 4.58 inches (11.7 cm), Metal non-rifled smooth bore.
Propulsion: Green gas or propane.
Action: Blowback, single action only.
Ammunition Type: 6mm plastic Airsoft BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 25 rounds.
FPS: 300-330 fps.

Trigger Pull: The single action only trigger pull on the G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol is what you would expect from a traditional single action only 1911 trigger, a very short take-up and a crips and light release. Great for getting a lot fo shoots off quickly and accurately down range without making your trigger finger do a lot of work.

Accuracy: I have not done my actual Field Test Shooting video review for the G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol so I can into comment just yet but I will be making a Field Test Shooting Video for it as soon as I can and will post that here on the website and of course over on the Replica Airguns YouTube channel when I have it ready.

Build Quality: The G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol is in my opinion one for the nicer looking finishes wise and I would have to say it seems to also be one of the better quality 1911 Airguns out there, for sure a step up from a KWC blowback 1911’s and in line with what KWA and KJWorks is making these days which is good quality. The G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol is one of the heavier Airsoft 1911 Blowback Pistols which makes me think the metal is a bit higher quality where it needs to be. Tolerances are nice and tight and the blowbacks action is very heavy.

Realism: The G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol like most of these full blowback 1911 Airguns, Steel BB or Airsoft BB, is super realistic with an all metal build. All the real steel working parts like the slide catch release, back strap safety and pretty much everything else function as they should. The G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol even field strips like a traditional 1911 pistol. Not sure what you could do to make it more authentic for an Airgun?

Available in the: Replica Airguns Store

Pros:

  • Nice high capacity magazine compared to other GBB 1911 Airsoft pistols.

  • Heavier than most Airsoft 1911’s.

  • All parts fit nice and tight, tolerances are very good.

  • Working back-strap safety.

  • No ugly red tip.

  • Finish is really nice, gun looks really good.

  • Expect to get decent amount of shots per gas fill.

  • Micro Gas Filter and Whirl Cylinder Valve help to manage gas efficiency and reduced frost buildup.

  • Traditional adjustable Hop-up.

  • Full Size Dropout metal magazine pretty standard on Airsoft pistols.

  • Comes with high quality hard shell case and speed loader.

Cons:

  • Sights are pretty basic, no white dots and non-adjustable as you would expect on a 1911 A1.

  • Very simple Airsoft gun, no modern bits and pieces on it.

  • FPS could be a bit higher but fine for close quarters.

Comments:

The G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol is for sure one of the nicer 1911 A1 styled Airsoft pistols, inline with KWC and KJWorks. It does come in a little bit heavier and seems to have more blowback recoil action which is nice. All I need to do now is find out how well it shoots! If it’s not half bad then it is for sure worth the price which by the way is a little bit cheaper than a KWA or KJWorks 1911 and about the same price as a KWC 1911. So many choices I know but that’s a good thing :)

G&G Armament GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol Table Top Review

Type: Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistol.
Manufacturer:  G&G
Model: GTP9
Materials: Polymer slide & frame.
Weight: 1.5 pounds (680 grams).
Length: 8.85 inches (22.5 cm) total
Barrel: 4.4 inches (11.2 cm), Metal non-rifled smooth bore.
Propulsion: Green gas or propane.
Action: Blowback, single action only.
Ammunition Type: 6mm plastic Airsoft BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 23 rounds.
FPS: 350-400 fps.

Trigger Pull: The single action only trigger pull on the G&G GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol is light with just a little bit of take-up. Since there is a built in trigger safety you will need to make sure your finger is firmly on the trigger or you may notice the trigger safety binding a little bit. Other than that the trigger pull is smooth.

Accuracy: I have not done my actual Field Test Shooting video review for the G&G GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol but I did get the chance to shot it quickly in my Sea Can indoor shooting range. Blowback felt pretty decent considering the slide is polymer and I was able to get most of my shots on or near the bullseye from about 25 feet out free standing. I did really like the more open sight setup as it allowed me to see over and under my target giving me a bigger picture of what I am lined up with.

Build Quality: Like pretty much all G&G Airsoft guns, the G&G GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol build quality is very high quality all around. Fit and finish where excellent and even though the slide is polymer the G&G GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol felt solid in the hadn't and had a decent overall weigth to it. I know plastic slides are not always everyones first choice but the slide on the G&G GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol did have good weight to it allowing for decent blowback feel and in many cases plastic will be more durable than pot metal or zinc metal slides and stand up to abuse and wear and tear better.

Realism: The G&G GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistolis not a replica of any specific real steel gun in production but it is designed to look like your common modern pistol and it seems many of these modern pistols have some Glock like tributes, that square shaped slide, square trigger guard and shallow thumb rest. That all said the G&G GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol has all of the right stuff we look for in a replica pistol like a full size drop out metal magazine, full blowback operation and of course the ability to field strip the gun juts for fun or for occasional cleaning.

Available in the: Replica Airguns Store

Pros:

  • Most external parts on gun are polymer so you will not get finish wear or noticeable scratches on it. Also keeps the weight down.

  • Threaded barrel for adding a mock suppressor.

  • Comes with two different sized Grip Back-straps to accommodate small and larger hands.

  • Expect to get decent amount of shots per gas fill (around 3-4 magazines).

  • Adjustable Hop-up that is super easy to access with no gun disassembly required.

  • Micro Gas Filter and Whirl Cylinder Valve help to manage gas efficiency.

  • Full Size Dropout metal magazine pretty standard on Airsoft pistols these days.

  • Rail for accessories if you choose.

  • Open white dot sights make it super easy to see your target.

  • Dual safety system, cross bolt on frame and trigger safety.

  • Narrow and light, would make a great lightweight side arm for Airsoft battles.

Cons:

  • Some people may not like the polymer slide?

  • Sights is non adjustable but mine got bullseyes from 25 out.

Comments:

Normally I am not a big fan of all plastic or polymer guns but in the case of the G&G GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol I think it makes sense, G&G has done a great job of making the plastic slide feel solid and have good overall weigth to it so you still get that weighty feeling int he hand and enough blowback to feel the recoil with each shot. I also think the G&G GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol will be more durable long term and look better even if it gets knocked around since you won’t see the scratches and dings that you would see on a metal gun. The G&G GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol also has a ton of stuff going on that I have not seen on other guns to date like the open rear sights for better sight framing and that super cool easy to access hop-up adjustment system.

G&G ARP-556 and ARP-9 AEG Airsoft CQB Table Top Review Review

Type: Airsoft AR, M4, M16 Styled Rifle.
Manufacturer: G&G.
Model: ARP-556 and ARP-9.
Materials: Metal and plastic/polymer construction.
Weight: (ARP-9 4.4 pounds) (ARP-556 5.3 pounds).
Barrel: 6 inches, metal non-rifled.
Propulsion: AEG non-blowback.
Action: Semi & full auto SAO.
Ammunition Type: 6mm plastic Airsoft BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: (ARP-9 300) (ARP-556 450).
FPS: 400+.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the G&G ARP rifles is an electric mechanical trigger that simulates a single action only trigger. There is essentially a light spring internally which supplies the trigger pressure. Pressure is even and smooth.

Accuracy: I have already made my Field Test Shooting Video Review for the G&G ARP-556 and ARP-9 AEG Airsoft CQB Rifles so make sure to watch that video for the results. Both G&G AEG Airsoft Rifles share similar internal components so I expect them to both shoot about the same in terms of power and accuracy. My testing of the G&G ARP-556 AEG Airsoft CQB found an average fps of about 400 using .20 gram plastic Airsoft BB's. Shooting at my paper target 30 feet down range, pretty much every shot hit the 1.5 inch bulls eye!

Build Quality: As with all of the G&G product line the G&G ARP-556 and ARP-9 AEG Airsoft CQB Rifles are really well made. Fit and finish is flawless and I had no issues shooting these guns at all. Every engagement of the trigger resulted in an Airsoft BB downrange and in full auto mode BB's where literally streaming from the barrel :) You will find a little more metal specifically in the receiver for the G&G ARP-556 over the G&G ARP-9 AEG Airsoft CQB Rifle which does make the ARP-556 a little bit heavier but not by much.

Realism: Both the G&G ARP-556 and ARP-9 AEG Airsoft CQB Rifles are super realistic, they are based on the AR, M4, M16 Rifle design but are scaled down for tactical close quarters use with their compact barrels and adjustable stocks. Most parts work as you would find on a real steel M4 like the charging handle, dust cover, simulated forward assist and of course the magazine releases. There is however no blowback operation but I can attest that if you have an 11.2 volt battery and are shooting in full auto you will feel this gun a rock'n.

Purchased From: The Replica Airguns Store.

Pros:

  • 2 lower and higher priced models with similar looks and performance to choose from.

  • Super compact CQB rifles.

  • Fully adjustable pop-up iron sights front and back.

  • Crown flash hider acts as a sound amplifier if you’re into that sort of thing?

  • Great internals, Internally upgraded with an ETU and MOSFET system.

  • Skeltonized PDW stock perfect for close quarters combat.

  • Nice 400 feet per second velocity, good for close and even further out ranges.

  • Very accurate, one of the best Airsoft rifles tested to date.

  • ARP-526 has an ambidextrous selector / safety switch.

  • ARP-556 has full metal receiver.

  • ARP-9 is a bit lighter and less tiring to carry, great if you plan to add on a bunch of accessories.

Cons:

  • No blowback operation.

  • ARP-9 has a plastic receiver.

  • You need some pretty compact batteries to fit into the short bumper tube.

Comments:

I am going to go on the record and say that the G&G ARP-556 and ARP-9 AEG Airsoft CQB Rifles would be my go to Airsoft battle rifle of choice. They have enough power for out door shooting and not too much for indoor shooting. Their compact and lightweight design will make them super easy to carry around all day and quick to place on any target in a hurry. Accuracy is not a concern since these AEG Airsoft Rifles can cut a bullseye out of a paper target no problem. Price for what you get, quality, looks. performance are all top notch with either choice of G&G ARP-556 or ARP-9 AEG Airsoft CQB Rifle you decide to go with.

G&G CM16 Raider and Carbine AEG Airsoft Rifle Mini Review

In this Video Review I show you around the G&G CM16 Raider and Carbine AEG Airsoft Rifle's. Since these AEG Airsoft AR Rifles are a bit large to showcase using my traditional Table Top location I move into my gym and take each gun out of its box to have a good look at them. I talk about some of the main features and specification. The main features being these G&G CM16 AR15 / M16 AEG Airsoft Rifles are all really well priced but also very well made for their rather low overall cost. They do have a primarily all Nylon Fiber build even in the receivers but they still have a nice 4.6 to 5.7 pound weight to them, and once dressed up with a few accessories they come in at a perfect weight that is not too heavy to carry around in just about any game situation. The Nylon material in some way is a better choice in terms of getting scratched and dinged since they will not mark up as easily as painted metals will.

G&G CM16 Carbine Light Version 2 GBB AR Airsoft Rifle Table Top Review

Type: Airsoft AR M16 Styled Rifle.

Manufacturer:G&G.

Model:CM16 Carbine GBB.

Materials: Metal and plastic/fiber construction.

Weight: 5 pounds.

Barrel: 10 inches, metal non-rifled.

Propulsion: GBB

Action: Semi & full auto blowback.

Ammunition Type: 6mm plastic Airsoft BB's.

Ammunition Capacity: 30+ round magazine.

FPS: 370+.

I could pretty much copy and paste my review of my G&G CM16 Raider GBB since both of these guns are pretty much the same Airsoft Rifle with different finishings. Instead I will place a link to my G&G CM16 RaiderVersion 2 GBB AR Airsoft Rifle Review and insert some nice photos of the  G&G CM16 Carbine version for you to admire :)

ASG Dan Wesson 2.5 inch Gold - G&G G731 2.5 Airsoft Pistol Table Top Review Comparison

Type: Airsoft Revolvers.

Manufacturer: ASG - G&G

Model:Dan Wesson 2.5 inch Gold - G&G G731 2.5 inch Silver & Black

Materials: Mostly metal.

Weight: 1.87 pounds. (850 grams) - 1.65 pounds. (750 grams)

Barrel: Metal non-rifled.

Propulsion: CO2 x 1.

Action: Revolver, single and double action.

Ammunition Type: 6mm plastic Airsoft BB's.

Ammunition Capacity: 6 rounds.

FPS: 394.

Trigger Pull: Both of these pistols have about the same style of triggers, they both shoot in true revolvers style offering single and double action triggers. The double action has a bit of friction to it since the cylinder is being rotate during the first part of the trigger pull and there is a spring fed metal gasket between the barrel and the cylinder that creates a seal but does apply pressure and results in some friction and a heavier trigger pull in double action. Single action is much lighter on both guns.

Accuracy: This part of my testing has not been conducted to date, I will put a link in here when I have completed my Shooting Field Test review for the ASG Dan Wesson 2.5 inch Gold and G&G G731 2.5 inch Airsoft pistols. Even thought the claimed fps is around 400 for both guns I am expecting more like 350-375 fps. Accuracy should be decent at closer ranges but since there is no hop-up, neither gun would be good at longer ranges in my opinion.

Build Quality: These detailed revolver are really well built! Both are almost all metal with just a few components made out of plastic, like the handles on both guns and the CO2 screw tab on the Dan Wesson. Both revolvers grips gave me just a bit of concern, you will need to be careful when snapping in the grip on the G&G G731 and the Dan Wesson grips have been known to ware a bit with heavy use. The finish on both of these guns is amazing and while the Silver finish on the G&G looks just like polished stainless steel, the Gold finish on the Dan Wesson offers a very unique and customized finish not found on too many guns. And if you just want classic black then there is always the G&G G731 in standard black as an option.

Realism: The ASG Dan Wesson and G&G G731 revolvers are as close as you can get to real six shooters, all the parts work pretty much like a real revolver, the realistic loading of the metal shells not only make it feel like you are handling a real revolver but also finish off the look making it really hard to tell that both these pistols are in fact Airsoft Revolvers.

Purchased From: The Replica Airguns Store.

Pros:

  • Revolver with actual brass shells giving you the feeling of a real 6 shooter!

  • Almost all metal design.

  • lots of detail in both revolvers, very well made, fit and finish is excellent.

  • Should have respectable power for a short barreled pistol.

  • Fully adjustable sight on the ASG Dan Wesson.

  • G&G G731 is super compact and flush, great out of the way back up side arm.

  • No Red Tip on the Canada version.

Cons:

  • Plastic CO2 screw tab on the Dan Wesson (but is well hidden and protected).

  • A bit of concern with wearing and usage on the grips for both guns.

  • No adjustable sight on the G&G G731 but super clean looking.

  • Red tip on the US version :(

Comments:

As with all of these shell loading revolvers, they are just so realistic and really fun to load up and shoot. You actually get a bit of time in-between shooting to take a breath and enjoy the entire experience rather than just unload round after round with some of the other super high round magazine guns. I love the compact size of both guns, perhaps the G&G G731 just a bit more with it's super clean edges and even smaller profile. But on the other hand the Dan Wesson ASG 2.5 inch has that more aggressive combat look if that is more to your liking! Either way, both guns make a great choice for an out of the way revolver styled side arm when you need that extra backup firepower!

G&G Armament CM16 Raider GBB Version 2 Update Video

You may wonder why I am doing another video on the G&G CM16 Raider Gas Blowback Airsoft AR Rifle? That's because the one I have here in this Update Video is Version 2 and yes there is a difference. So far I can only tell you about the obvious stuff since I really have not tested it out to see if there are any other performance gains with Version 2 over Version 1.

G&G has made some improvement with Version 2 enhancing several areas:

  • First off, there is now a selector switch on both sides of the receiver allowing for left or right handed use.

  • Carrying on with the ambidextrous theme, G&G also added a magazine release to the left side of the receiver.

  • Another missing feature was a bolt lock out when your magazine was empty, this has been added and so the bolt will lock back about 1/3 the way back locking out the gun and letting you know when you are out of ammo.

  • The bolt release on Version 1 was just for show and did not function. On Version 2, with the bolt lock, G&G also added a working bolt release.

Those are some pretty significant improvements to the G&G Armament CM16 Raider GBB Version 2 in my books! So now it's time to test it out and see if full auto mode has been improved. I found with Version 1, that when using full auto, the G&G CM16 Raider GBB would have some trouble getting through a full mag dump but when shooting very quickly in semi auto had no problems at all.

Make sure to check back for my full review and shooting field test for the G&G CM16 Raider GBB Version 2 AR Airsoft Rifle.

KWC Silver Desert Eagle - KWC Model 1911 - KWC Taurus PT99 - G&G Xtreme 45 Update Video

This Update video addresses the similarities between the KWC and Cybergun product lines, specifically the KWC Model 1911 vs. the Cybergun Tanfoglio Witness 1911 and the KWC Taurus PT99 vs. the Cybergun GSG 92. In a nutshell, they are all made by KWC and are exactly the same with the exception of some of the licensing and branding that goes on the slides. Cybergun simply contracts KWC to make the guns for them and add some slight different printing. All parts are interchangeable.

I also show you the Silver Finish Blowback Airsoft KWC Desert Eagle and mention again that the licensing on this one is kind of hit and miss depending on what KWC sends us. So when you order one there is an additional surprise waiting for you when you open the box :)

Lastly, I show for the first time a G&G Airsoft product, the G&G Xtreme 45 Blowback that looks an awful lot like the Umarex Colt Special Combat chambered in 4.5mm Steel BB. The main differences are that the Colt Special Combat is a BB gun and the Xtreme 45 is an Airsoft gun. The G&G has blowback where as the Colt Special Combat does not have blowback.
