Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Crosman Vigilante CO2 Pellet and BB Revolver is rather nice in single action with virtually zero take-up and it has a not too light weight with a predictable feel to it. In double action it does get much longer and heavier but still very usable. If you have larger thicker finger then you may want to start off in single action as the finger opening is a bit tight.

Accuracy: I have not specifically tested out the Crosman Vigilante CO2 Pellet and BB Revolver so far but I would be very surprised if it was any different than the standard Crosman 357 I tested back in 2012. Other than the shape of the outer barrel, both of these guns are virtually the same including the frame and the 6 inch barrels. Back in 2012 when I tested out the Crosman 357 I averaged 402 fps using 6.9 grain pellets and was able to get a 1 inch multi-shot grouping at 30 feet away from my paper target. Not sure if this was the entire 10 round mag or not? I will be making an update Field Test Shooting Video so we will see if I can replicate these results with the Crosman Vigilante CO2 Pellet and BB Revolver.

Build Quality: The Crosman Vigilante CO2 Pellet and BB Revolver is a fairly basic pistol that incorporates a plastic outer barrel and inner steel barrel, the grips are also plastic as expected and so are the magazines and sights. Most everything else is metal including the receiver, trigger and hammer. This line of Crosman 357 pistols has been around for decades so you can expect hours of fun and reliable shooting with it.

Realism: There are for sure a lot more realistic looking Revolvers out there with swing out cylinders that except shells just like their real steel counterparts but where the Crosman Vigilante CO2 Pellet and BB Revolver shines is in performance. You will get more shots per CO2, higher fps and better accuracy with the Crosman Vigilante CO2 Pellet and BB Revolver over other more realistic Revolvers on the market.

Pros:

• Inexpensive Pellet revolver with a proven track record that goes back decades.

• Good usage of metal parts where you need them most. (Metal  trigger, hammer, frame, barrel, CO2 Tab screw

• Single and double action trigger for action and more focused shooting.

• Excellent accuracy and good power with a reasonable amount of shots per CO2.

• Fully adjustable rear sight.

• Can mount a bunch of accessories on the picatinny barrel top and bottom rails.

• CO2 and CO2 tab are nicely hidden and use all metal.

• Comes with both a Pellet and BB magazine.

Cons:

• Outer barrel is plastic but very solid. Metal would have added a bit more weight and perhaps better balance?

• Grips and trigger pull length may be a bit long for smaller handed people when shooting in double action.

• Not your most realistic revolver in terms of replicas out there but I would say more usable than most.

• No white dots on the sights.

The Crosman Vigilante CO2 Pellet and BB Revolver is basically a reskinned Crosman 357 at the end of the day but I have to say it is my favorite looking Crosman 357 out there with its aggressive barrel design. And the added bonus are the top and bottom Picatinny rails which make for mounting accessories like Red Dots, Lasers and Tac Lights super easy! if you’re looking for function over realism at a price point that is more than fair then pick yourself up one of the Crosman Vigilante’s from our Replica Airguns Store!

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the WE M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is good in both single and double action. Double action as expected has the longer heavier pull but is still smooth and fairly light with a predictable release. Single action shooting has a much shorter trigger pull with a bit of take-up and an even lighter release than in double action shooting mode.

Accuracy: This is one of those times I actually performed my Field Test Portion of my Review first so I do have some feedback in terms of the accuracy and velocity for the WE M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol. WE claims an fps of around 366+ using the extended barrel that comes with it so this is how I tested it. I did use .26 gram airsoft BB’s so the fps was a bit lower but I did get close to 320 fps, So you should expect around a 20% increase in FPS using .20 gram Airsoft BB’s, so closer to 360-380 fps. In terms of accuracy I did notice that the WE M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol shot rather low for me, as much as 8 inches at 30 feet out, perhaps adjustment get hop-up will fix that, at longer ranges it should… That said I found I was able to get around a 1-5.2 inch 10 round grouping at 30 feet out. In terms of full auto, all I can say is don’t expect to hit very much you point at as the gun really likes to rock around!

Build Quality: The WE M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is a really gorgeous looking pistol and has one of my favorite looking finishes in that stainless steel look. You will find it has an overall solid build quality, it is virtually all metal with only the grips and some internal parts like the gas chamber and nozzle being plastic. There is almost zero slide wiggle and all in all this Airsoft pistol performed great for me with no mechanical problems.

Realism: As is with most Full Blowback Airsoft Pistols they are built to look and act the part of their real steel counterparts and the WE M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is no exception! All mechanical parts work as intended and you can easily field strip the WE M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol to swap out the internal barrel and adjust the hop-up. I like the fact that WE Airsoft color matched the magazine rather than simply shipping it with the black magazine as I have found some other companies do.

The WE M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is one of the nicer looking Airsoft Beretta M9 pistols on the market and is comparable in quality to other higher end brands like KWA and KJWorks. The price point is also in line with what you are getting. I really like the Stainless - Silver - Chrome finish or what ever you want to call it… One thing I was not able to determine 100% is if this version is in fact the Gen 2 version but I do believe it is given that it has the black gas tube in it. We just don’t have it advertised as such. If you’re in the market for a Beretta style M9 Pistol then consider the WE M92 GBB Full Auto Airsoft Pistol as a solid choice.

Looking at the 2016 US version of the Sig Sauer ASP MPX .177 Cal. Pellet Rifle verses the more resent Canada version we have in our Canada Replica Airguns Store it is hard to really see any difference other than my US version is all black and Canada version is two tone desert tan with black highlights. To be honest I really like both color schemes but that will be a personal preference.

In this Field Test Shooting Comparison video my main goal was to see if there is any significant performance difference between the two versions. Did Sig Sauer perhaps detune the Canada version as is often the case with Canada versions of Airguns? Did Sig Sauer make any changes internally and improve the accuracy or shooting characteristics of their newer Canada model?

I am happy to say both version performed really similar, maybe the US version shot just a little bit hotter but they where within around 5 fps of each other so the same test on a different day could yield the opposite results. The same is true for my accuracy test shooting 10 rounds 30 feet downrange on a paper target. This time the Canada version shot just a tad bit tighter I would say just under an inch grouping but then again the US version was really close with really only 1 pellet extending the grouping out just over an inch. A different test I am sure and the results may be switched? After all I am only human and this was all shot using the open sights on both guns using a sand bag as a rest and sitting in a chair in the back to help with stability.

This Table Top Comparison video is also a bit of a revisit since I reviewed the US version of the Sig Sauer ASP MPX .177 Cal. Pellet Rifle back in 2016 when it first came out. I actually had to go across the border and bring it back across with me which can be a lot of fun dealing with Canada Customs border agents. They are well meaning but often don’t fully understand their own import guidelines for Airguns. After about an hour or so I was able to convict the CBSA officer that no my Sig Sauer Airguns where not regulated Firearms and no they did not require any registration or transfer permits.

Anyway that was 5 years ago and now we have the Canada import version which makes purchasing one of the Sig Sauer ASP MPX .177 Cal. Pellet Rifles so much easier and to be honest there really isn’t any difference as far as I can tell since my original US version even though it had a claimed fps of up to 600 was actually closer to somewhere in the mid 400’s using standard .177 caliber lead pellets.

This may the one of the most Airguns I have tested out at the same time here in the Replica Airguns Indoor Shooting Range. It took a little bit longer than normal but I go through it with only one of the CO2 Blowback BB Pistols acting up juts a bit at the beginning. After a quick fix the rest of the show went on the road you could say!

What exactly was the purpose of testing out 5 CO2 Blowback BB Pistols all together? I wanted to compare my most compact CO2 Blowback BB Pistols to each other to see which one performed the best in my Chronograph Velocity Test and 30 foot 10 Round Target Test. There was no definitive clear winner at the end of the day two of the Air Pistols performed almost the same and then the rest kind of lingered behind them to lesser degrees.

After my Umarex Walther PPK/S Revisit Videos several people commented about comparing the Umarex Walther PPK/S to some more similar Compact Blowback Airguns other than the KWC Makarov PM. The Sig Sauer 936 came up a few times and so I figured I would see what I could find in terms of some other compact CO2 Blowback BB Pistols.

I picked out a total of 4 other CO2 4.5mm BB Pistols that where compact, had blowback action and shot all around a similar fps or velocity and decided on the Sig Sauer P365 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol, the Umarex Walther PPS M2 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol, the ASG Bersa BP9CC CO2 Blowback BB Pistol and lastly the Umarex Beretta Mod 84FS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol.

This is both a revisit and a comparison Field Test Shooting Video all wrapped up into one so hold onto your socks! As always with my Indoor Filed Test Shooting Videos I test out the velocity of each Airgun along with the accuracy but in this case I want to see how a nearly 20 year old Blowback BB Pistol stacks up agains a much more modern similar BB Pistol. The closest CO2 Powered Blowback BB Pistol to the Umarex Walther PPK/S CO2 Blowback BB Pistol as far as I could tell was the KWC Makarov Full Blowback BB Pistol since both are about the same size, share a similar look and design, have similar velocities and should perform relatively the same.

Way back in 2006 I made a video called the World Smallest Full Auto BB Pistol and uploaded it to YouTube then I kind of forgot about it fro a while… A few months later I went back and checked on it and had received around 100,000 video views and I lost my mind for a bit. It made me wonder perhaps if people wanted to see more Airgun Videos so I started making the occasional Airguns Video when I bought a new Airgun and uploaded them to YouTube. They kept getting decent views and people seemed to want to watch them so I decided maybe starting an Airgun Blog that I could link my YouTube Videos to would be something people would be interested in?

Well that was how the Replica Airguns YouTube Channel and Website all began and since then things have really grown with over 300 thousand Subscribers, 138 million Video Views and over a thousand Video made to date.

I figures it was time to take a look back at the Airgun that started things all off and see if it still stands up to the newer Airguns on the market. That Airgun is the Umarex Walther PPK/S CO2 Blowback BB Pistol which by the way was Umarex’s first ever BB Pistol and was also the first BB pistol to have a working blowback slide. I tried to find out exactly when the Umarex Walther PPK/S CO2 Blowback BB Pistol went into production but could not find this exact info but I’m guessing it is around 20 years old by now.

As far as I know there are no new Walther PPK or PPK/S Steel BB pistols on the market, perhaps some in 6mm Airsoft versions so the closest 4.5mm BB Airgun I could compare it to was the Makarov line of Airguns, Umarex and KWC have made versions of the Makarov including the original Umarex non blowback all metal Makarov, the Umarex Legends Blowback Makarov Ultra and the KWC Full Blowback Makarov PM. Of course there is the Baikal Makarov but that is a gun that is hard to compare to other Airguns so I left that one out of the picture.

In this video I compare the Umarex Walther PPK/S CO2 Blowback BB Pistol to the newer Makarov BB Pistols to see if it holds up at least in terms of appearance and features and to be honest other than the plastic stick magazine it really does hold up considering its age and how much time Airgun Manufacturers have had to make improvements over the years.

As with most of the new tech I purchase or acquire that I will be using in my Videos for either my GetFitOver40 or ReplicaAirguns YouTube channels, I generally like to do some sort of a practical review for the item. In this case I take a look at the Synco G1 (A2) Wireless Microphone Set which is a pair of wireless transmitters that pair with a single dedicated receiver allowing me to quickly and easily capture good quality audio for my Videos.

For the past couple of years my go to microphone setup for my video was to use a generic lapel mic connected to my Samsung Galaxy Smartphone recording into an audio program. I would then send the audio file via dropbox to my computer where I would then line up the audio file with the video file in my video editing software to get a much higher quality and more clear voice recording versus what the camera mic would be able to capture.

This system has been working fairly well for me but required a somewhat cumbersome lapel cable and of course my bulky Smartphone in my pocket at all times but did allow me to be as far away from the camera as I wanted without any interference or loss of audio clarity.

After playing around with the Synco G1 (A2) Wireless Microphone System I have determined I will most likely simply be clipping the transmitter onto my shirt without the lavaliere mic plugged in and transmitting the audio into either my Samsung Smartphone or my iPad where I can then again dropbox the audio file to wherever I plan on editing the video.

This video was kind of a test to see how everything sounded in terms of the lapel mic versus the built in mic. What settings to use and how distance effected the audio signal and quality. Unfortunately the lapel mic was a bit close to my voice causing some distortion to occur but you can still hear what I am saying no problem. In the future I would place the lapel mic a bit further away from my voice lower down on my shirt or simply use the built in mic as it was not as sensitive to this distortion and seemed to handle louder volume much better than the lapel mic.

I made a video a little bit ago talking about how Canada’s new Bill C-21 will affect pretty every gun owner in Canada including even airgun owners of BB, Pellet Airsoft and even Paintball Guns. Make sure to watch that video first called Bill C-21 Canada is Going After Your Red Ryder BB Gun.

This video is all about how you can get involved in making some waves by signing two online petitions along with contacting your local Member of Parliament and letting them know your disapproval of Bill C-21 and all that it imposes on law abiding Canadian gun owners.

Probably the most important online petition to sign would be the House of Commons Petition E-3201 Bill C-21 so make sure to sign that one!

The other online e-petition we need to sign is the change.org petition.

And lastly but also super important is to send an email to your local member of Parliament again let them know your disapproval of Bill C-21. I have included a link to the web[age where you can locate your local MP and below that is a template of what you could include in your email to them.

(2) Section 84 of the Act is amended by adding the following after subsection (3.1): Certain firearms deemed to be prohibited devices

(3.2) For the purposes of sections 99 to 101, 103 to 107 and 117.03, a firearm is deemed to be a prohibited device if

(a) it is proved that the firearm is not designed or adapted to discharge a shot, bullet or other projectile at a muzzle velocity exceeding 152.4 m per second or at a muzzle energy exceeding 5.7 Joules; and (b) the firearm is designed or intended to exactly resemble, or to resemble with near precision, a firearm, other than an antique firearm, that is designed or adapted to discharge a shot, bullet or other projectile at a muzzle velocity exceeding 152.4 m per second and at a muzzle energy exceeding 5.7 Joules."

I wanted to compare the KWC/Cybergun PT 24/7 G1/G2 BB and Airsoft Pistols to each other in the Replica Airguns Indoor Airgun Shooting Range to see how they compare side by side not only in terms of accuracy but also what their Feet Per Second Velocity performance would be.

Like all my Field Test Shooting Videos I place 5 rounds through my Chronograph and average out the fps to see what their real world velocity is using a brand new CO2 along with standard 4.5mm Steel BB’s and .25 gram 6mm Plastic Airsoft BB’s. I then place a paper target 30 feet down range and proceed to put 10 rounds from each gun into a fresh paper target to see not only how close the Airguns shoot to the bullseye out of the box but also how close each 10 round grouping is.

All of the KWC Cybergun Taurus PT 24/7 G1/G2 BB and Airsoft Pistols performed fairly well, the KWC PT 24/7 G1 NBB Steel BB Pistol as expected had the highest velocity at close to 400 fps while the KWC PT 24/7 G2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol with the slightly heavier then normal Airsoft Plastic BB’s shot closer to 300 fps. The KWC PT 24/7 G2 Blowback Steel BB Pistol shot just over 300 fps.

In terms of accuracy The KWC PT 24/7 G1 NBB Steel BB Pistol had one of the tighter grouping close to 2 inches but shot a fair amount to the left of the bullseye. The KWC PT 24/7 G2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol shot well centered left to right but low on the target with a spread of just over two inches and the KWC PT 24/7 G2 Blowback Steel BB Pistol was the most centered on target getting again close to a two inch grouping.

I do like the KWC Cybergun Taurus PT 24/7 G1/G2 BB and Airsoft series of Airguns and personally prefer the newer Blowback G2 models but to each their own.

Yup, another Camera Video but to be fair without decent cameras and quality microphones the videos would look and sound terrible even if the content was awesome :)

Pretty sure this is the last Camera update for a while now that I have added the Insta360 One R and now the iVUE Vista 4k Camera Glasses to my arsenal of video recording gear.

I was well overdue for a new pair of Camera Glasses as my PivotHead Recon’s where 7 years old which is surprising that they held up this long and even have fared well in terms of quality compared to what is available even today for HD Camera Glasses. The main problem I had with my aging PivotHead Recon Camera Glasses was mainly battery life related, can’t record video without a good battery!

After a fair amount of online digging I found the iVUE Vista 4k Camera Glasses, I was hoping to get another pair of Pivothead Camera Glasses but it looks like they are no longer in business… Too bad! iVUE from my research looks to be a decent company with quality products and they were the only company that offered a Camera Glass that was capable of 4k and 1080p 60 frame which is what I was most interested in.

In this video I compare my iVUE Vista Versus my older PivotHead Recon Camera Glasses to see how far the tech has improved over the last 7 years our so, I was a bit surprised at how well my old PivotHead Recon Camera Glasses faired but there are some obvious improvements especially in low light and audio quality when compared to the much newer iVUE Vista 4k Camera Glasses.

The iVUE Vista Camera Glasses are capable of 4k video but only at 24 frames per second which is not smooth enough for action style shooting so I plan to record using 1080p with 60 frames per second frame rate which is what I use with my other cameras when recording video for YouTube.

In this YouTube Video I test out my new Insta360 One R with the 1 Inch Mod, comparing it to my Sony RX 100 IV to see how they compare against each other.

It’s not really a fair comparison since my Sony RX 100 IV is now 5 or 6 years old which is a long time for a digital camera but it has been really good to me and provided some really great quality video over the years. Compare that to the Insta360 One R that is about a year on the market now and you would think the clear winner would be the Insta360 One R.

On it’s own the Insta360 One R with the standard 4k lens would perform well against the Sony RX 100 IV but the Sony RX 100 IV has a 1 inch sensor allowing it to get the most out of each pixel and since I primarily shoot in 1080p 60 frames per second I need to get as much out of each pixel as I can.

One really great feature about the Insta360 One R is that it is modular so I can swap the 4k module out for a 5.7 k 360 module or even a 1 inch 5.3k module allowing both the Insta360 One R and the Sony RX 100 IV to have that large 1 inch sensor keeping the comparison more inline with each other.

Some things to not that will make a big difference in quality and limitations for this video is that the Insta360 One R 1 Inch Mod was shot using 4k 60 fps while the Sony RX 100 IV was shot using 1080p 60fps. The Insta360 One R 1 Inch Mod has a fixed focus while the Sony RX 100 IV has a variable focus.

Anyway I will let you be the judge and decide which camera you like the look of the video for at least in this shooting situation.

I often have people ask me what is more powerful in terms of one gun over another and which Airguns have more raw power, BB versus, Pellet, versus Airsoft, versus Paintball?

Well in this indoor field test shooting video I compare all of the above head to head to see which Airgun not only has the most raw power but also how well they perform on a target setup 30 feet down range since after all what does it matter how powerful a gun is if it can not hit the target!

The Airguns I used in this head to head shooting performance test where as follows:

• EKOL ES 55 Non Blowback 4.5mm BB Pistol

• Umarex Desert Eagle Blowback .177 Cal. Pellet Pistol

• Cybergun Desert Eagle Blowback 6mm Airsoft Pistol

• Umarex T4E TR50 .50 Cal. Paintball Revolver

Keep in mind the ammunition for each Airgun is very different not just in terms of materials but also their weight which will have a big effect on the energy they produce. For example for this test I used 4.6 grain 4.5mm Steel BBs, 4.6 grain 6mm Aluminum Airsoft BB’s. 6.9 grain .177 cal. Lead Pellets and 17.7 grain .50 cal. Rubber Paintballs.

In this Field Test Shooting Video I test out the G&G Piranha MK I & TR GBB Airsoft Pistols in the Replica Airguns Indoor Sea Can Airgun Shooting Range to see what the real world performance is for these very similar Airsoft Pistols. I first place 5 rounds through my Chronograph for each Airsoft Gun using .25 gram Airsoft BB’s with fully gassed up magazines to find out what the actual fps velocity is. I then shoot 10 rounds from a seated and rested shooting position into fresh paper targets setup 30 feet down range to see just what we can expect in terms of accuracy from the G&G Piranha series.

Starting with my Chronograph test, a placed 5 rounds through my Chronograph with both the G&G Piranha MK I and G&G Piranha TR GBB Airsoft Pistols. Technically they should have performed nearly identical but not all guns are setup exactly the same out of the box and so the G&G Piranha MK I GBB Airsoft Pistol did shoot a bit hotter than the G&G Piranha & TR GBB Airsoft Pistol averaging 290 fps versus 257 fps. As a quick test I placed the magazine from the MK I into the TR and the G&G Piranha TR GBB Airsoft Pistol did shoot much hotter and very close to the G&G Piranha MK resultsI. I would assume the valves in these magazines where perhaps not letting out the same amount of Gas hence the difference in velocity. The velocity was well under the claimed 370+but I was using slightly heavier BB’s and it was a little cold in the Sea Can on this testing day, not quite room temperature. Around 19 degrees Celsius or 66 degrees Fahrenheit.

Moving onto the accuracy testing for the G&G Piranha MK I & TR GBB Airsoft Pistols, they performed pretty well shooting 10 round 2 inch groupings with both Airsoft Pistols shooting on the money vertically while the G&G Piranha MK I shot a bit to the left and the G&G Piranha TR shooting well centered all around.

All in both of the G&G Piranha MK I & TR GBB Airsoft Pistols performed good for me, I would have liked to have seen the fps higher since both guns where well under the claimed 370+ fps but for close quarter shooting you should have no problem with either of them and again maybe your magazine will shoot a bit hotter than mine did. The partial blowback action is snappy and quick with just enough recoil action to give that realistic shooting experience. The triggers on the G&G Piranha MK I & TR GBB Airsoft Pistols are really nice allowing for quick tight followup shots and again if you like the look and feel of a Glock but perhaps want something a bit more unique then you will want to consider one of the G&G Piranha series Airsoft Pistols know doubt.
