G&G Piranha SL GBB Airsoft Pistol Field Test Review

In this Field Test Review Shooting Video I take the G&G Piranha SL GBB Airsoft Pistol through its paces to find out what we can expect in terms of velocity and accuracy. I perform two main tests, the Chronograph Test where I shoot around 5 rounds and average them out to see what the real world fps is and then I shoot 10 rounds at a paper taggert setup 30 feet downrange to see how tight of a grouping I can achieve with the G&G Piranha SL GBB Airsoft Pistol. I don’t talk much about the specifications and details in this video so if you are interested in that information you can watch my Table Top Video for this Airsoft Pistol here.

Starting first with the Chronograph Velocity Test I loaded .20 gram Airsoft BB’s into both of the supplied magazines and filled them up with propane gas. Often times because the valves may be tuned just a bit differently, you can expect each magazine to shoot a slightly different velocities or fps. This was the case with the G&G Piranha SL GBB Airsoft Pistol as the shorter double stack 25 round magazine averaged 353 fps while the longer single stack 20 round magazine shot a 328 average fps. So 25 fps difference between the two.

Moving on to the accuracy portion of the test I was able to get close to a two inch grouping fairly well centered shooting at a fresh paper target setup 30 feet away from a rested shooting position with my hands on a sand bag up front and sitting in the back. I was having some problems with the shorter double stack 25 round magazine not chambering rounds consistently which meant I had to reset my shooting position many times but even so I was able to get close to a two inch grouping. I did load up a different 25 round magazine from another Piranha Airsoft Pistol I had around and this magazine shot perfectly without any chambering problems so there must be something not exactly right with the short magazine that came with my G&G Piranha SL.

Other than the feeding issue I had for the double stack 25 round short magazine that came with my G&G Piranha SL GBB Airsoft Pistol, the Airsoft gun performed well. It for sure made for an entertaining video spraying Airsoft BB’s all over the Sea Can and trying o figure out why the Airsoft Pisotl was not working as it should. Such is life and at the end of the day it was simply something going on with the one magazine which seemed ot have a problem releasing the Airsoft BB’s into the gas chamber. All that was needed was a new magazine and we where back in business!

G&G Piranha SL GBB Airsoft Pistol Table Top Review

Type: Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistol.
Manufacturer: G&G
Model: Piranha SL
Materials: Metal & Polymer.
Weight: 1.85 pounds (838 grams).
Length: 10.3 inches (262mm) total.
Barrel: 5.6 inches (142.5mm), Metal non-rifled smooth bore.
Propulsion: Green gas or propane.
Action: Blowback, single action only.
Ammunition Type: 6mm plastic Airsoft BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 20/25rounds.
FPS: 370+ fps.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the G&G Piranha SL GBB Airsoft Pistol is typical single action only with a super easy short take up (some of which is the trigger safety engaging), followed by a crisp predictable light release. The quick slide cycle allows for some quick semi auto shooting with the G&G Piranha SL GBB Airsoft Pistol making it a great fast action shooter with quick target acquisition.

Accuracy: I have not done my actual Field Test Shooting video review for the G&G Piranha SL GBB Airsoft Pistol but I expect it to perform similar to the G&G Piranha MK I and TR GBB Airsoft Pistol I made a Field Test Shooting Video for earlier and shoot consistently in the mid to high 300 fps with a 10 round grouping around 1-2 inches. Stay posted for my Field Test Shooting Video where I will confirm these predictions…

Build Quality: Like pretty much all G&G Airsoft guns including the Piranha series, the G&G Piranha SL GBB Airsoft Pistol build quality is really good. Fit and finish are excellent with virtually zero slide wiggle, I like the two tone stainless slide and chrome finish barrel version but the all black looks really good too. As with the entire Piranha line, the SL also has an updated Ceramic Whirl Cylinder Valve technology from G&G that should significantly help with freezing in colder or fast shooting situations along with a new Hop-up system you can easily adjust without taking the Airsoft gun apart by using the bullet shaped tool.

Realism: The G&G Piranha SL GBB Airsoft Pistol as far as I can determines not an exact replica of any specific real steel gun in production but it does share its looks and feel to that of the Glock but perhaps with an even more modernized look to it. Of course the SL version is elongates. You will find realistic function to the G&G Piranha SL GBB Airsoft Pistoling terms of it’s operation with its full blowback action, working slide catch release, magazine release trigger safety and takedown lever allowing for it to be field stripped easily.

Pros:

  • Good balance of metal and plastic for a balanced and light feel.

  • Partial slide Blowback operation should allow for even better gas performance and snappy operation.

  • Fiber optic sights front and back for easy target acquisition.

  • Has a working trigger safety.

  • Smaller grips perfect for people with smaller hands. Larger hands work just fine too!

  • Comes in a well presented soft foam form fitted box case.

  • New Hop-up system for quick and easy fine adjustments with no need to field strip the gun.

  • Long bottom rail for adding accessories.

  • Comes in all black and two tone black and sliver.

  • Comes with two magazines (20 round short and 25 round extended with fake bullets)

  • Comes with high quality speed loader.

  • Threaded barrel tip for add on mock suppressor if you want to.

Cons:

  • Sights are non adjustable.

  • Not an actual replica of any specific gun I know of but does share some Glock attributes.

  • Wish the extended mag held more rounds?

  • I like the hard shell case better that comes with the other Piranha versions.

Comments:

The G&G Piranha SL GBB Airsoft Pistol is for sure the flashiest version of the Piranha series of G&G Airsoft Pistols with its extended barrel and extended magazine with the fake bullets. I also imagine the extra barrel length will add some addition fps to the velocity and we will find out when I make my Field Test Shooting Video for it shortly. I am hoping the extended magazine holds more than an addition 5 rounds but again we are going to find out in my my Field Test Video so be sure to watch that one! If you don’t mind the additional bulk of the G&G Piranha SL GBB Airsoft Pistol over the MK 1 and TR than you will get an extra magazine and I a bit higher velocity.

Outside Shooting the G&G SMC-9 with Insta360 Camera Mounted to it

It was a decent day today, not too cold and not raining at least at the time I and ethics video :) I figured with my new Insta60 One R and iVUE Vista cameras it would be a great day to test them out outside shooting with my G&G SMC-9 Full Auto Airsoft Carbine. I like the bak for more regulated Indoor Field Tests, these outside usually clay pigeon shooting videos are a lot more fun and I think a nice break for everyone.

So in this video I have three cameras rolling and switch camera switch back and forth throughout the video to make the experience more immersive. I have cameras setup front and back (Sony RX100 IV in front & Sony HDR-AS15 Back), along with my iVUE camera glasses and my Insta360 One R mounted to the barrel of my G&G SMC-9. All in all I think the video turned out well. It may be time to upgrade my Sony Action Camera as it is probably the oldest camera in my collection and you can see in the video it does not look as good as the other cameras.

G&G SMC-9 GBB Airsoft Carbine Field Test Review

In this Field Test Shooting Video I test out the G&G SMC-9 GBB Airsoft Carbine in the Replica Airguns Indoor Sea Can Airgun Shooting Range to see if the real world performance matches the manufacturers claims. I first place 5 rounds through my Chronograph using .25 gram Airsoft BB’s with a fully gassed up extended magazine to find out what the actual FPS is. I then shoot 10 rounds from a seated and rested shooting position into a fresh paper target setup 30 feet down range to see just what we can expect and then just for fun I shoot the 40 rounds left in the 50 round magazine in full auto to see how this also effects accuracy.

Starting with my Chronograph test, the G&G SMC-9 GBB Airsoft Carbine averaged 339 FPS with the fastest shot recorded at 350 fps and the slowest being 324 fps, so very consistent in terms of sustained fps during my Chronograph velocity testing. The velocity was a bit under the claimed 366-375 fps but I was using slightly heavier BB’s and it wasn’t super warm temperatures in the Sea Can on this testing day, around room temperature, (20 degrees Celsius or 68 degrees Fahrenheit).

Moving onto the accuracy testing for the G&G SMC-9 GBB Airsoft Carbine, it performed pretty decent shooting about a 10 round 4 inch grouping but if I removed two flyers top and bottom the grouping would have been loser to 1.5 inches. The grouping was well centered on the target but I did adjust the sights up a bit as initially out of the box the G&G SMC-9 GBB Airsoft Carbine was shooting fairly low at 30 feet out. The good news is the G&G SMC-9 GBB Airsoft Carbine has fully adjustable sights for windage and elevation along with the 120 clicks of hop-up adjustment. When it came to my full auto testing I found I was shooting really low, perhaps from the blowback recoil pushing me of target? This was the case at least when I did a 40 round mag dump. When I performed the test using shorter bursts I was able to keep more rounds centered on the target for sure but accuracy in full auto was not nearly as good as in semi auto because of the heavy blowback.

Over all the G&G SMC-9 GBB Airsoft Carbine performed decent for me, the velocity was bang on right around what is claimed by G&G allowing this GBB Airsoft Carbine to shoot targets at further out ranges. Accuracy in semi auto was also very good but again shooting in full auto will take a bit more of your attention keeping the blowback recoil under control, for this reason burst fire in full auto will give you better accuracy which is more than likely how you would be shooting the G&G SMC-9 GBB Airsoft Carbine anyways. I really like the diversity you get with the G&G SMC-9 GBB Airsoft Carbine and if you are into Gas Blowback Airsoft guns, then I feel you get similar performance to an AEG but with a lower capacity magazines, but then again I may just have to get my hands on a drum magazine for the G&G SMC-9 GBB Airsoft Carbine and see how that changes things.

G&G SMC-9 GBB Airsoft Carbine Table Top Review

Type: Gas Blowback Airsoft Carbine.
Manufacturer: G&G
Model: SMC-9
Materials: Metal/Aluminum & Polymer.
Weight: 4.7 pounds (2125 grams).
Length: 410/620mm folded/unfolded length
Hop-up: Yes - 120 click adjustment.
Propulsion: Green gas or propane.
Action: Semi & Full Auto Blowback, single action only.
Ammunition Type: 6mm plastic Airsoft BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 50 rounds.
FPS: 366-375 fps.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the G&G SMC-9 GBB Airsoft Carbine is typical single action only with a soft short take-up and light release point. I would not call this a crips trigger since it does have a rather spongy feel to it but this is only noticeable when you are easing the trigger slowly. In reality you will be engaging the trigger quickly when shooting it on the field and won’t notice any of the creep or take-up. I would consider it to be a decent trigger pull over all.

Accuracy: I have not done my actual Field Test Shooting video review for the G&G SMC-9 GBB Airsoft Carbine but as with most of my Full auto Airguns I find it hard not resist going outside and blasting off at least one magazine in full auto. Of course this was the case with the G&G SMC-9 GBB Airsoft Carbine and I can tell you I went through all 50 rounds in not time and the G&G SMC-9 GBB Airsoft Carbine rounds went exactly where I pointed the gun short and long range so I expect my Field Test Shooting video to produce good results.

Build Quality: The G&G SMC-9 GBB Airsoft Carbine feels amazing in the hand with a lot of metal going on in the upper Carbine conversion kit portion, the front rail assembly is CNC Aluminum and the Pop-up iron sights are actually metal. The rear fold out stock is plastic but it is sold and just like the rest of the G&G SMC-9 GBB Airsoft Carbine very well made with great fit and finish. Of course the lower polymer frame is from the G&G GTP9 and just like all of the G&G pistols is very well made.

Realism: The G&G SMC-9 GBB Airsoft Carbine genuinely feels like a real steel firearm when holding it in the hand. Shooting it feels much the same but obviously with a lot less recoil than a powder burner. Just like a real steel 9mm Carbine the G&G SMC-9 GBB Airsoft Carbine mechanically works virtually the same with working slide catch release, charging handles, magazine release, and duel safeties, all ambidextrous by the way. As expected you can fully field strip the G&G SMC-9 GBB Airsoft Carbine.

Available in the: Replica Airguns Store

Pros:

  • Lots of metal parts giving the G&G SMC-9 GBB Airsoft Carbine really good weigth and feel.

  • Fold out stock sits nice and tight using magnets when not in use.

  • Integrated QD sling swivel.

  • Comes with two different sized Back-straps to accommodate small and larger hands.

  • Super high capacity extended 50 round magazine that holds a ton of gas for consistent power and lots of shots per fill.

  • Converts the standard GTP9 semi auto pistol into a full auto Carbine.

  • Almost everything is ambidextrous.

  • CNC 20mm / MLOK  Rail for lots of accessories options.

  • Actual metal pop-up fully adjustable sights.

  • Easy to adjust hop-up without disassembly.

  • Dual safety system, cross bolt on frame and trigger safety.

Cons:

  • Fold out stock is not adjustable which makes the sights are a bit tight.

  • Does not come with the pistol slide if you want to covert it back to the GTP9.

Comments:

I am a big fan of the full line of G&G Airsoft guns and so far their GBB pistol lineup has been a treat to review, adding their new G&G SMC-9 GBB Airsoft Carbine to the lineup for me is the perfect mix between their GBB Pistol lineup and their mostly AEG Rifle lineup. I am hoping to see if I can acquire the drum magazine and eventually see how that works with the G&G SMC-9 GBB Airsoft Carbine, for now the 50 round extended magazine will have to do. Really looking forward to testing out the G&G SMC-9 GBB Airsoft Carbine so stay posted for those results shortly!

G&G Piranha MK I & TR GBB Airsoft Pistol Field Test Review

In this Field Test Shooting Video I test out the G&G Piranha MK I & TR GBB Airsoft Pistols in the Replica Airguns Indoor Sea Can Airgun Shooting Range to see what the real world performance is for these very similar Airsoft Pistols. I first place 5 rounds through my Chronograph for each Airsoft Gun using .25 gram Airsoft BB’s with fully gassed up magazines to find out what the actual fps velocity is. I then shoot 10 rounds from a seated and rested shooting position into fresh paper targets setup 30 feet down range to see just what we can expect in terms of accuracy from the G&G Piranha series.

Starting with my Chronograph test, a placed 5 rounds through my Chronograph with both the G&G Piranha MK I and G&G Piranha TR GBB Airsoft Pistols. Technically they should have performed nearly identical but not all guns are setup exactly the same out of the box and so the G&G Piranha MK I GBB Airsoft Pistol did shoot a bit hotter than the G&G Piranha & TR GBB Airsoft Pistol averaging 290 fps versus 257 fps. As a quick test I placed the magazine from the MK I into the TR and the G&G Piranha TR GBB Airsoft Pistol did shoot much hotter and very close to the G&G Piranha MK resultsI. I would assume the valves in these magazines where perhaps not letting out the same amount of Gas hence the difference in velocity. The velocity was well under the claimed 370+but I was using slightly heavier BB’s and it was a little cold in the Sea Can on this testing day, not quite room temperature. Around 19 degrees Celsius or 66 degrees Fahrenheit.

Moving onto the accuracy testing for the G&G Piranha MK I & TR GBB Airsoft Pistols, they performed pretty well shooting 10 round 2 inch groupings with both Airsoft Pistols shooting on the money vertically while the G&G Piranha MK I shot a bit to the left and the G&G Piranha TR shooting well centered all around.

All in both of the G&G Piranha MK I & TR GBB Airsoft Pistols performed good for me, I would have liked to have seen the fps higher since both guns where well under the claimed 370+ fps but for close quarter shooting you should have no problem with either of them and again maybe your magazine will shoot a bit hotter than mine did. The partial blowback action is snappy and quick with just enough recoil action to give that realistic shooting experience. The triggers on the G&G Piranha MK I & TR GBB Airsoft Pistols are really nice allowing for quick tight followup shots and again if you like the look and feel of a Glock but perhaps want something a bit more unique then you will want to consider one of the G&G Piranha series Airsoft Pistols know doubt.

G&G GPM92 GP2 GBB Airsoft Pistol Field Test Review

In this Field Test Shooting Video I test out the G&G GPM92 GP2 GBB Airsoft Pistol in the Replica Airguns Indoor Sea Can Airgun Shooting Range to see what the real world performance is for this Beretta 92 styled G&G Airsoft Pistol. I first place 5 rounds through my Chronograph using .25 gram Airsoft BB’s with a fully gassed up magazine to find out what the actual FPS is. I then shoot 10 rounds from a seated and rested shooting position into a fresh paper target setup 30 feet down range to see just what we can expect in terms of accuracy from the G&G GPM92 GP2 GBB Airsoft Pistol.

Starting with my Chronograph test, the G&G GPM92 GP2 GBB Airsoft Pistol averaged 275 FPS with the fastest shot recorded at 278 FPS and the slowest being 274 FPS, so very consistent in terms of sustained FPS doing my testing. The velocity was well under the claimed 366 but I was using slightly heavier BB’s and it was a little cold in the Sea Can on this testing day, not quite room temperature. Around 19 degrees Celsius or 66 degrees Fahrenheit.

Moving onto the accuracy testing for the G&G GPM92 GP2 GBB Airsoft Pistol, it performed pretty decent shooting about a 10 round 1.5 inch grouping if I removed one flyer that pulled a bit to the left. The grouping was a little bit low but well centered left and right so even though the sights are none adjustable I should be able to pull up the shot placement a bit using the hop-up adjustment.

All in all the G&G GPM92 GP2 GBB Airsoft Pistol performed well for me, I would have liked to see the FPS just a bit higher but for close quarter shooting you should have no problem with it. The blowback action is nice and firm and the typical Beretta single and double action trigger is true to form allowing for a round in the pipe with the hammer safely decocted but ready to go with a quick release of the safety and a double action pull of the first round. The G&G GPM92 GP2 GBB Airsoft Pistol may be a bit bulky and heavy for some smaller handed shooter so keep that in mind.

G&G Piranha TR GBB Airsoft Pistol Table Top Review

Type: Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistol.
Manufacturer: G&G
Model: Piranha TR
Materials: Metal & Polymer.
Weight: 1.5 pounds (670 grams).
Length: 7.8 inches total
Barrel: 4.01 inches, Metal non-rifled smooth bore.
Propulsion: Green gas or propane.
Action: Blowback, single action only.
Ammunition Type: 6mm plastic Airsoft BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 25rounds.
FPS: 370+ fps.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the G&G Piranha TR GBB Airsoft Pistol is typical single action only with a easy short take up (some of which is the trigger safety engaging), followed by a crisp predictable light release. The quick slide cycle allows for quick semi auto shooting with the G&G Piranha TR GBB Airsoft Pistol making it a great fast action shooter with quick target acquisition between shots.

Accuracy: I have not done my actual Field Test Shooting video review for the G&G Piranha TR GBB Airsoft Pistol but I expect it to perform similar to most G&G Blowback Gas Operated Airsoft Pistols and shoot consistently in the mid 300 fps with a 10 round grouping around 1-2 inches. Stay posted for my Field Test Shooting Video where I hope to confirm these predictions in the Sea Can indoor Airgun Shooting Range.

Build Quality: Like most off theG&G Airsoft guns, the G&G Piranha TR GBB Airsoft Pistol build quality is really nice. Fit and finish are excellent with virtually zero slide wiggle, you can also get the G&G Piranha TR GBB Airsoft Pistol in a two tone stainless slide and chrome finish barrel that looks really sharp. It also has an updated Ceramic Whirl Cylinder Valve technology from G&G that should significantly help with freezing in colder or fast shooting situations along with a new Hop-up system you can easily adjust using a special tool without taking the Airsoft gun apart.

Realism: The G&G Piranha TR GBB Airsoft Pistol as far as I can determines not an exact replica of any specific real steel gun in production but it does share looks, size and feel to that of the Glock but perhaps with an even more modernized look to it. You will find realistic function to the G&G Piranha MK I GBB Airsoft Pistoling terms of it’s operation with its full blowback action, working slide catch release, magazine release trigger safety and takedown lever allowing for it to be easily and quickly field stripped.

Available in the: Replica Airguns Store

Pros:

  • Good balance of metal and plastic for a balanced and light feel.

  • Partial slide Blowback operation should allow for even better gas performance and snappy operation.

  • Ceramic Whirl Cylinder Valve should expect to get decent amount of shots per green gas fill.

  • White dot sights front and back.

  • Nice two tone slide.

  • Has a working trigger safety.

  • Smaller spit grip perfect for people smaller hands.

  • Comes with hard shell case.

  • New Hop-up system for quick and easy fine adjustments with no need to field strip the gun.

  • Dual 20mm top and bottom Rails for accessories.

  • Comes in all black and two tone black and sliver.

  • Comes with high quality speed loader

  • Threaded barrel tip for add on mock suppressor.

Cons:

  • Sights are non adjustable.

  • Not an actual replica of any specific gun I know of but does share some Glock attributes.

  • No actual frame safety other than the trigger safeties, (not always a bad thing).

Comments:

Overall I really like the new G&G Piranha TR GBB Airsoft Pistol, it has a really modern look to it yet has a familiar feel. The G&G Piranha TR GBB Airsoft Pistol is fairly light weight with that quick and snappy partial slide allowing for very quick follow up shots. Combine all of that with the new Gas saving Ceramic Whirl Cylinder Valve I expect the G&G Piranha TR GBB Airsoft Pistol to perform really well when in action. I like that you have the option of the more subdued all black version or if you like your guns to be a little bit more flashy you can also get it in the two tone with black and stainless version. The TR version over MK 1 does allow for optics on top which personally would not be my choice for this gun but it’s nice that you have this option.

The G&G Piranha MK I GBB Airsoft Pistol is fairly light weight with a quick and snappy slide allowing for very quick follow up shots. Combine all of that with the new Gas saving Ceramic Whirl Cylinder Valve I expect the G&G Piranha MK I GBB Airsoft Pistol to perform really well when in action. I like that you have the option of the more subdued all black version or if you like your guns to be a little bit more flashy you can also get it in the two tone with black and stainless version.

G&G GPM92 GP2 GBB Airsoft Pistol Table Top Review

Type: Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistol.
Manufacturer: G&G
Model: GPM92 GP2
Materials: Metal slide & frame, real wood grips.
Weight: 2.3 pounds (1040 grams).
Length: 8.9 inches total
Barrel: 4.6 inches, Metal non-rifled smooth bore.
Propulsion: Green gas or propane.
Action: Blowback, single and double action.
Ammunition Type: 6mm plastic Airsoft BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 28rounds.
FPS: 366+ fps.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the G&G GPM92 GP2 GBB Airsoft Pistol is very good in both single and double action. Double action is a bit longer but not that much heavier when shooting in single action. Single action shooting is short, light and crisp as you would expect when shooting a real steel Beretta 92 style pistol.

Accuracy: I have not done my actual Field Test Shooting video review for the G&G GPM92 GP2 GBB Airsoft Pistol but it should perform similar to my earlier review of the G&G GPM92 GBB Airsoft Pistol where it performed fairly well shooting in the mid 300 fps with a nice under 1 inch 10 round shot placement for 30 feet down range.

Build Quality: Like pretty much all G&G Airsoft guns, the G&G GPM92 GP2 GBB Airsoft Pistol build quality is right inline. Fit and finish where excellent and a lot of attention to detail was seen all over this Replica Airsoft Pistol. It also has an updated Ceramic Whirl Cylinder Valve technology from G&G that should significantly help with freezing in colder or fast shooting situations along with a new Hop-up system you can easily adjust without taking the Airsoft gun apart.

Realism: The G&G GPM92 GP2 GBB Airsoft Pistol is an excellent replica of the real steel Beretta Mod. 92FS, the safety even acts as a working de-cocker. You'll also find 5, 10, and 15 numbered markings on the backside of the magazine that would normally indicate how many bullets are in the magazine, a nice touch for sure! Everything works pretty much the same as it would on a real Beretta M9 including the ability to fully field strip the G&G GPM92 GP2 GBB Airsoft Pistol. I like the addition of th real wood grips that are a bit thicker than the plastic ones but if you ahed decent sized hands this shoudl not be a problem for you.

Available in the: Replica Airguns Store

Pros:

  • Lots of metal and good overall weight.

  • Pretty heavy Blowback operation.

  • Ceramic Whirl Cylinder Valve should expect to get decent amount of shots per green gas fill.

  • White dot sights front and back.

  • Nice real wood grips.

  • Comes with hard shell case.

  • New Hop-up system for quick and easy fine adjustments with no need to field strip the gun.

  • 20mm Rail for accessories.

  • comes in three different color schemes. Black, Silver, Gold.

  • Comes with high quality speed loader

  • Safety also works as a de-cocker.

  • Threaded removable barrel tip for add on mock suppressor.

Cons:

  • Sights are non adjustable.

  • Wood grips make the grips a bit thicker than plastic grips.

  • Price does go up especially if yo want the silver or gold version.

Comments:

I would have to say the new G&G GPM92 GP2 is one of the nicest Beretta Model 92FS Airsoft Pistols you are going to find out there, even a step up over the previous GPM92 model. There is a ton of attention to detail for sure, You also get the hard shell case with included high quality speed loader and G&G's updated Ceramic Valve and Revolutionary Whirl Cylinder Valve that help with freeze-up issues. It’s also nice that you no longer are required to filed strip the G&G GPM92 GP2 GBB Airsoft Pistol in order to adjust hop-up and the real wood grips just really finish off this quality product from G&G.

Crosman AK1 - G&G SMC9 - ICS CXP APE Update Preview Unboxing Video

I am super excite to showcase three awesome rifles in this Update Preview Unboxing Video. Two of which are Airsoft and one is a Steel BB shooter, all of which are semi and full auto selectable. In this video I do a bit of an unboxing and preview of each Rifle not going into too much detail as I want to leave most of the information for my Table Top and Filed Test Videos. The main purpose of this video is to let everyone know we have these Rifles in our Canada Replica Airguns Store now for sale.

I may as well talk about them in the order they appear in my video so lets start with the ICS CXP APE AEG Airsoft Rifle. The ICS CXP APE AEG Airsoft Rifle is a mostly metal Electric Airsoft Rifle with realistic electronic blowback operation along with a CNC machined aluminum upper and lower receiver. It comes with a hi-cap 300 round magazine and a Ver 2 Full Metal ICS Split Type Gearbox. The ICS CXP APE AEG Airsoft Rifle weighs in at just under 3kg.

Next I showcase the G&G SMC9 GBB Airsoft Carbine, a unique product that converts the G&G GTP9 pistol into a a semi and full auto Carbine and includes a 50 round extended magazine, there is an even higher capacity drum magazine made for this product! You will find a fold out stock along with a CNC Machined MLOK Rail for additional mounting options.

Last but perhaps one that I have been the most eagerly anticipating is the Crosman AK1 CO2 Blowback BB Rifle a twin CO2 Blowback 4.5mm Semi and Full auto AK style BB Rifle, finally a decent AK BB Rifle! The Crosman AK1 CO2 Blowback BB Rifle has a claimed fps of 430 and shoots 1400 rounds per minute in full auto, very similar to the Crosman DPMS series of AR styled CO2 Blowback Full Auto BB Rifles. The Crosman AK1 CO2 Blowback BB Rifle comes with a 25 round magazine and swing out rear adjustable stock.

G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol Field Test Review

I’m going to start off by saying this Field Test Shooting Review for the G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol did not go all that well as I had some complications with this Airgun when chambering rounds. I am pretty sure it is magazine related and hope to try a different magazine with it soon. I say this because I am following through with my review regardless of my initial results to demonstrate that not all Airguns perform as expected during my reviews and sometimes you get a lemon even with a good quality brand like G&G.

I am fairly certain the defect in this case for the G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol was the magazine tip being too tight and not allowing an Airsoft BB to position all the way to the top of the magazine which means when the slide cycled and the nozzle was in position to push an Airsoft BB into the breach, it simple was hitting the top of the BB and pushing it even further into the magazine. All said and done I was able to test the fps and accuracy on target so let’s get on with my review.

Using .20 gram Airsoft BB’s with a fully filled propane gas magazine in my G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol, I was able to get 6 recoreded shots through my Chronograph averaging 319 fps. The slowest shot being 313 fps and the fastest shot hitting 330 fps. The temperature was right around room temperature so around 22 degrees Celsius or 72 degrees Fahrenheit.

As I was having issues with with the G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol chambering rounds with the .20 gram Airsoft BB’s. I was hoping that when I switched to a different .32 gram Airsoft BB for my target portion of this review that perhaps the different Airsoft BB’s would chamber better but they did not. To get through the target portion of my test, with each shot I had to drop the magazine, make sure the Airsoft BB’s was at the top of the magazine, rack the slide, insert the magazine and then release the slide. So as you can see I was resetting completely for each shot which does not always make for the tightest groupings. Surprisingly I was still able to get about a 1.5 inch grouping on my paper target setup 30 feet downrange using a rested and seated shooting position.

Not all reviews go as planned but you still have to make the best of it. I really feel the G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol is a good gun overall even though mine did not perform that well for me. When I was able to chamber a round it shot a consistent fps and placed Airsoft BB’s downrange accurately and very close to the bullseye. Perhaps simply by swapping out the magazine I will have a much more reliable Airsoft gun? I will have to get back to you on that one.

G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol Table Top Review

Type: Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistol.
Manufacturer: G&G
Model: GPM1911
Materials: Metal slide, frame & Magazine.
Weight: 2.25 pounds (1020 grams).
Length: 8.66 inches (22.0 cm) total.
Barrel: 4.58 inches (11.7 cm), Metal non-rifled smooth bore.
Propulsion: Green gas or propane.
Action: Blowback, single action only.
Ammunition Type: 6mm plastic Airsoft BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 25 rounds.
FPS: 300-330 fps.

Trigger Pull: The single action only trigger pull on the G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol is what you would expect from a traditional single action only 1911 trigger, a very short take-up and a crips and light release. Great for getting a lot fo shoots off quickly and accurately down range without making your trigger finger do a lot of work.

Accuracy: I have not done my actual Field Test Shooting video review for the G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol so I can into comment just yet but I will be making a Field Test Shooting Video for it as soon as I can and will post that here on the website and of course over on the Replica Airguns YouTube channel when I have it ready.

Build Quality: The G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol is in my opinion one for the nicer looking finishes wise and I would have to say it seems to also be one of the better quality 1911 Airguns out there, for sure a step up from a KWC blowback 1911’s and in line with what KWA and KJWorks is making these days which is good quality. The G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol is one of the heavier Airsoft 1911 Blowback Pistols which makes me think the metal is a bit higher quality where it needs to be. Tolerances are nice and tight and the blowbacks action is very heavy.

Realism: The G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol like most of these full blowback 1911 Airguns, Steel BB or Airsoft BB, is super realistic with an all metal build. All the real steel working parts like the slide catch release, back strap safety and pretty much everything else function as they should. The G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol even field strips like a traditional 1911 pistol. Not sure what you could do to make it more authentic for an Airgun?

Available in the: Replica Airguns Store

Pros:

  • Nice high capacity magazine compared to other GBB 1911 Airsoft pistols.

  • Heavier than most Airsoft 1911’s.

  • All parts fit nice and tight, tolerances are very good.

  • Working back-strap safety.

  • No ugly red tip.

  • Finish is really nice, gun looks really good.

  • Expect to get decent amount of shots per gas fill.

  • Micro Gas Filter and Whirl Cylinder Valve help to manage gas efficiency and reduced frost buildup.

  • Traditional adjustable Hop-up.

  • Full Size Dropout metal magazine pretty standard on Airsoft pistols.

  • Comes with high quality hard shell case and speed loader.

Cons:

  • Sights are pretty basic, no white dots and non-adjustable as you would expect on a 1911 A1.

  • Very simple Airsoft gun, no modern bits and pieces on it.

  • FPS could be a bit higher but fine for close quarters.

Comments:

The G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol is for sure one of the nicer 1911 A1 styled Airsoft pistols, inline with KWC and KJWorks. It does come in a little bit heavier and seems to have more blowback recoil action which is nice. All I need to do now is find out how well it shoots! If it’s not half bad then it is for sure worth the price which by the way is a little bit cheaper than a KWA or KJWorks 1911 and about the same price as a KWC 1911. So many choices I know but that’s a good thing :)

Webley Nemesis and G&G GPM1911 Unboxing Preview Video

I keep getting more and more really cool airguns to review and it’s been hard to keep up with them all and get out Table Top and Field Test videos for each new product. I at least want to be able to get the word out so to speak for some of the new Airguns that come across my tassel even if I may not be able to get to their full reviews right away.

That said I have two new Airguns that we have in our Replica Airguns Stores to show everyone, the Webley Nemesis in .177 Caliber Pellet and the G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol. Both could not be any more different for sure but I really like each of them for their own reasons.

The Webley Nemesis is a very unique CO2 powered pistols since it is bolt action like many of the corpsman pistols but the Webley Nemesis .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol comes with a duel sided rotary magazine that holds 7 rounds on each side, the .22 caliber version holds 6 rounds on each side. The .177 caliber version can shoot up to 450 fps while the .22 caliber version has a claimed fps of up to 370. I look forward to testing and reviewing the Webley Nemesis .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol as soon as I can.

I also showcase the G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol which is a well priced basic A1 styled 1911 that is really well built and about one of the heaviest full metal 1911’s I have come across to date hitting the scale at nearly 2 pounds and 4 ounces. Another Replica Airgun I look forward to treating out!

G&G Armament GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol Field Test Review

Make sure to checkout my Table Top Review for the G&G GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol where I show you around the G&G Armament GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol nice and close and perform a Field Strip of it.

In the Field Test Shooting Video I perform my standard Chronograph and accuracy tests on the G&G GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol. I put 5 rounds ( At least I try to…) through my Chrony Chronograph using slightly heavier than usual .32 gram plastic Airsoft BB's with a full propane filled magazine. My Sea Can Indoor Airgun Range was warmed up sufficiently for a gas gun test (Around 22 degrees Celsius or 70 degrees Fahrenheit) but perhaps because I was using the heavier .32 gram Airsoft BB’s I only managed to get around 230fps for the G&G GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol.

Moving onto my accuracy test I placed 10 shots on target 30 feet down range using a rested shooting position, sitting in the back and sand bag up front. I was impressed with how tight of a 10 shot grouping I got! I was able to get the bulk of the shots all within about an inch with only two shots hitting just a little outside of this. The G&G Armament GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol did shoot a little bit low and just a tad to the left but you shoudl be able to raise it up as needed using the built in Hop-up adjustment.

You will notice in my Filed Test Shooting Youtube Video that I did has some initial problems with the G&G Armament GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol misfiring some rounds. This seemed to only happen when I switched to a brand new propane tank and topped up the magazine all the way. My first 4-5 shots seemed to vent a lot of gas and for some reason the G&G Armament GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol would misfire. Once I got through the initial rounds the G&G Armament GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol shot just fine. Not the most powerful Airsoft gun I have tested but for indoor close quarter Airgun battles the G&G Armament GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol would perform just fine.

G&G Armament GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol Table Top Review

Type: Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistol.
Manufacturer:  G&G
Model: GTP9
Materials: Polymer slide & frame.
Weight: 1.5 pounds (680 grams).
Length: 8.85 inches (22.5 cm) total
Barrel: 4.4 inches (11.2 cm), Metal non-rifled smooth bore.
Propulsion: Green gas or propane.
Action: Blowback, single action only.
Ammunition Type: 6mm plastic Airsoft BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 23 rounds.
FPS: 350-400 fps.

Trigger Pull: The single action only trigger pull on the G&G GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol is light with just a little bit of take-up. Since there is a built in trigger safety you will need to make sure your finger is firmly on the trigger or you may notice the trigger safety binding a little bit. Other than that the trigger pull is smooth.

Accuracy: I have not done my actual Field Test Shooting video review for the G&G GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol but I did get the chance to shot it quickly in my Sea Can indoor shooting range. Blowback felt pretty decent considering the slide is polymer and I was able to get most of my shots on or near the bullseye from about 25 feet out free standing. I did really like the more open sight setup as it allowed me to see over and under my target giving me a bigger picture of what I am lined up with.

Build Quality: Like pretty much all G&G Airsoft guns, the G&G GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol build quality is very high quality all around. Fit and finish where excellent and even though the slide is polymer the G&G GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol felt solid in the hadn't and had a decent overall weigth to it. I know plastic slides are not always everyones first choice but the slide on the G&G GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol did have good weight to it allowing for decent blowback feel and in many cases plastic will be more durable than pot metal or zinc metal slides and stand up to abuse and wear and tear better.

Realism: The G&G GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistolis not a replica of any specific real steel gun in production but it is designed to look like your common modern pistol and it seems many of these modern pistols have some Glock like tributes, that square shaped slide, square trigger guard and shallow thumb rest. That all said the G&G GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol has all of the right stuff we look for in a replica pistol like a full size drop out metal magazine, full blowback operation and of course the ability to field strip the gun juts for fun or for occasional cleaning.

Available in the: Replica Airguns Store

Pros:

  • Most external parts on gun are polymer so you will not get finish wear or noticeable scratches on it. Also keeps the weight down.

  • Threaded barrel for adding a mock suppressor.

  • Comes with two different sized Grip Back-straps to accommodate small and larger hands.

  • Expect to get decent amount of shots per gas fill (around 3-4 magazines).

  • Adjustable Hop-up that is super easy to access with no gun disassembly required.

  • Micro Gas Filter and Whirl Cylinder Valve help to manage gas efficiency.

  • Full Size Dropout metal magazine pretty standard on Airsoft pistols these days.

  • Rail for accessories if you choose.

  • Open white dot sights make it super easy to see your target.

  • Dual safety system, cross bolt on frame and trigger safety.

  • Narrow and light, would make a great lightweight side arm for Airsoft battles.

Cons:

  • Some people may not like the polymer slide?

  • Sights is non adjustable but mine got bullseyes from 25 out.

Comments:

Normally I am not a big fan of all plastic or polymer guns but in the case of the G&G GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol I think it makes sense, G&G has done a great job of making the plastic slide feel solid and have good overall weigth to it so you still get that weighty feeling int he hand and enough blowback to feel the recoil with each shot. I also think the G&G GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol will be more durable long term and look better even if it gets knocked around since you won’t see the scratches and dings that you would see on a metal gun. The G&G GTP9 GBB Airsoft Pistol also has a ton of stuff going on that I have not seen on other guns to date like the open rear sights for better sight framing and that super cool easy to access hop-up adjustment system.

G&G ARP-556 and ARP-9 AEG Airsoft CQB Table Top Review Review

Type: Airsoft AR, M4, M16 Styled Rifle.
Manufacturer: G&G.
Model: ARP-556 and ARP-9.
Materials: Metal and plastic/polymer construction.
Weight: (ARP-9 4.4 pounds) (ARP-556 5.3 pounds).
Barrel: 6 inches, metal non-rifled.
Propulsion: AEG non-blowback.
Action: Semi & full auto SAO.
Ammunition Type: 6mm plastic Airsoft BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: (ARP-9 300) (ARP-556 450).
FPS: 400+.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the G&G ARP rifles is an electric mechanical trigger that simulates a single action only trigger. There is essentially a light spring internally which supplies the trigger pressure. Pressure is even and smooth.

Accuracy: I have already made my Field Test Shooting Video Review for the G&G ARP-556 and ARP-9 AEG Airsoft CQB Rifles so make sure to watch that video for the results. Both G&G AEG Airsoft Rifles share similar internal components so I expect them to both shoot about the same in terms of power and accuracy. My testing of the G&G ARP-556 AEG Airsoft CQB found an average fps of about 400 using .20 gram plastic Airsoft BB's. Shooting at my paper target 30 feet down range, pretty much every shot hit the 1.5 inch bulls eye!

Build Quality: As with all of the G&G product line the G&G ARP-556 and ARP-9 AEG Airsoft CQB Rifles are really well made. Fit and finish is flawless and I had no issues shooting these guns at all. Every engagement of the trigger resulted in an Airsoft BB downrange and in full auto mode BB's where literally streaming from the barrel :) You will find a little more metal specifically in the receiver for the G&G ARP-556 over the G&G ARP-9 AEG Airsoft CQB Rifle which does make the ARP-556 a little bit heavier but not by much.

Realism: Both the G&G ARP-556 and ARP-9 AEG Airsoft CQB Rifles are super realistic, they are based on the AR, M4, M16 Rifle design but are scaled down for tactical close quarters use with their compact barrels and adjustable stocks. Most parts work as you would find on a real steel M4 like the charging handle, dust cover, simulated forward assist and of course the magazine releases. There is however no blowback operation but I can attest that if you have an 11.2 volt battery and are shooting in full auto you will feel this gun a rock'n.

Purchased From: The Replica Airguns Store.

Pros:

  • 2 lower and higher priced models with similar looks and performance to choose from.

  • Super compact CQB rifles.

  • Fully adjustable pop-up iron sights front and back.

  • Crown flash hider acts as a sound amplifier if you’re into that sort of thing?

  • Great internals, Internally upgraded with an ETU and MOSFET system.

  • Skeltonized PDW stock perfect for close quarters combat.

  • Nice 400 feet per second velocity, good for close and even further out ranges.

  • Very accurate, one of the best Airsoft rifles tested to date.

  • ARP-526 has an ambidextrous selector / safety switch.

  • ARP-556 has full metal receiver.

  • ARP-9 is a bit lighter and less tiring to carry, great if you plan to add on a bunch of accessories.

Cons:

  • No blowback operation.

  • ARP-9 has a plastic receiver.

  • You need some pretty compact batteries to fit into the short bumper tube.

Comments:

I am going to go on the record and say that the G&G ARP-556 and ARP-9 AEG Airsoft CQB Rifles would be my go to Airsoft battle rifle of choice. They have enough power for out door shooting and not too much for indoor shooting. Their compact and lightweight design will make them super easy to carry around all day and quick to place on any target in a hurry. Accuracy is not a concern since these AEG Airsoft Rifles can cut a bullseye out of a paper target no problem. Price for what you get, quality, looks. performance are all top notch with either choice of G&G ARP-556 or ARP-9 AEG Airsoft CQB Rifle you decide to go with.
